About this property
Beautiful Farmhouse On 11 Heavenly Acres
Nestled in the Rockfish gap right under Devil's Knob our farmhouse is situated perfectly in the center of everything that Nellysford, Wintergreen, and the Rockfish Valley have to offer, including skiing, golfing, fishing, breweries/wineries, Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking, biking, swimming, antiquing, and so much more while still providing a quiet secluded and downright heavenly spot to use as your base of operations for your next vacation. While there’s plenty to do in this area, including day visits to nearby historic towns like Staunton, Lexington, and Charlottesville, just spending a few quiet nights in the house is almost vacation enough with its warm 200 year old re-purposed heart pine beams, slate floors, wood stove for those cold winter nights, huge sun-room, two living rooms, one with a pull-out couch and large window seat, 3 well appointed bedrooms, small sleeping porch, and 2 full bathrooms. There is Wi-Fi through-out the house, Direct TV with premium channels, and DVD players, so no one has to be without entertainment. Outside, there is a small deck nestled under the trees next to the garden, a great fire-pit in the back yard perfect for evening gatherings under the stars, and a basketball court to keep the kids busy during the day. The 11 acre property has beautiful wooded trails and a path leading right down to the babbling Spruce Creek that runs through it, not to mention open pasture land with gorgeous vistas and views of the surrounding mountains. Get up early and hike out into the pasture to see the sun come up over the mountains or sleep late and then take a short walk to tour the Bold Rock Hard Cider house just down the street or ride your bike down the “Brew Ridge Trail” to Red Wolf or Devil’s Backbone, eat a terrific meal and taste some local craft beers! There’s so much to do (or not to do if you prefer), you’ll love spending time here!

We had a terrific stay at this comfortable and warm farmhouse. The home is cozy, the kitchen is stocked, and the views are gorgeous. It’s close to Wintergreen resort, a hop, skip, and a jump from Bold Rock Cidery, and only 40 minutes from all Charlottesville has to offer.
We had a wonderful time staying at this cozy farmhouse. The peaceful setting and family-friendly amenities made it a perfect spot to relax and reconnect. It was a fun and memorable escape.
The house, property and location were beautiful. Lots of places to roam and explore. Close drive to sherando lake for the kids to play and lots of great places to eat with beautiful back drops.
A nice property in a great location. Very clean and spacious. We stayed for a long weekend. Many local breweries, wineries and distilleries in the area.
Such a cute house in an amazing location! We enjoyed a lovely hike nearby with our kids and hit a winery on the way to the house. The property was beautiful, the kids loved exploring the creek, we used the firepit, and the basketball hoop. It had everything we needed to enjoy a nice relaxing weekend in the mountains with the perfect weather. We even went to the Nelson county farmers market just a few minutes away Saturday morning and grabbed some great local meat and veggies to bring home. Thank you for the stay, we will definitely return!
The location is great for reaching the ski slopes and the restaurants. The farm house was quiet and peaceful. Great response from the host when we accidentally locked out the front door. We saw lots of deer and turkeys.
Did a grils weekend. It was an amazing place to stay perfect location to all the wineries / brewery. The house was clean and felt so safe. We cant wait to go back.
The property is beautiful, private, and exactly as described in the listing. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook homemade meals, plenty of bedding, and the host did a wonderful job of communicating details and having the home prepared for us. Highly recommend.
We had our 3 kids and 2 dogs there for a three day weekend of fall festivals, hiking, brewery hopping and just relaxing. The location and property couldn't have been better suited for our crew and what we were looking to do. Everything we wanted to do was with within minutes of the cabin. Loved it!
My husband and I and our two kids recently stayed at this charming home. The location was perfect, we were surrounded by nature yet a stones throw away from brewery’s, ice cream and easy trails to wander. We found many fun spots to play in the streams nearby. The home is incredibly well stocked and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend this wonderful home.
The property was beautiful! The cabin was very cozy and there was plenty of room for everyone. Our group liked to run in the morning and they came back everyday with stories of the wildlife that they would see. The area is so pretty and just walking each day was fun! The kitchen was well stocked. Our Thanksgiving dinner was in the sunroom and held all ten of us. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch every night looking at the stars!
The house was amazing, had everything we needed, and the location was perfect to enjoy all that Nelly 151 had to offer. It was very cold and much snow, so we did not really get a chance to explore the property itself, but would like to return to see it all. Word to the wise, if you are looking for 5 dedicated bedrooms, as advertised, the house does not have that, but the sleeping quarters were comfortable for a close family. A couple replacement pieces of furniture is all it needs. We really had fun here.
Loved staying here. Very clean, homey, cozy. Loved staying here. Host was nice, and prompt with answering our questions. Thanks for a wonderful weekend.
Excellent hosts that were very responsive and helpful. Home was as advertised and very beautiful. Close to hiking trails, wineries, breweries, and much more. Gorgeous wooded property with a small stream in the back for the kids to play in. Will definitely recommend and we'll be staying here again!
My family enjoyed the comfort of the home. We enjoyed fixing meals together. The location was so convenient to everything that makes Nelson county a great mountain getaway,
