A large comfortable characterful property in a good residential area. It was ideal for myself and two young adult daughters and their friend. The bedrooms are large and well equipped. The master with en-suite up on the top floor is especially luxurious. Downstairs has a spacious living area and dining kitchen. The kitchen has everything you could need. The weather was very hot when we stayed but the shutters helped to keep the property comfortable. It was especially nice to sit in the garden early mornings with a cuppa. The house is positioned at the top of a steep hill - we knew that that when we booked - and walking up and down the hill helped to keep us fit! (There were buses down into town which we occasionally used). There is a good pub at the end of the street with a lovely view of the town, we didn’t eat there, just had drinks, but the menu looked good. The host was very helpful. We had an issue with the oven on the first evening, and the host immediately messaged back with instructions, so we got sorted quickly. And the resident cat, Pickles, is extremely chilled and very cute.
