Provincetown is a unique and wonderful destination, nestled in the National Seashore, with grand, old Portuguese fishing boats and a thriving art scene. Want nature? Want entertainment? Want great food & shopping? Want sunsets from your deck? Stay at our 1-bedroom Puffin Cottage down a flower-lined pathway across from the library. Amenities include fully-stocked kitchen with d/w and granite counters, walk-in closet, a/c in bedroom and living room, large dining table, private deck with table and adirondack chairs. Gorgeous views, kayak and paddle board rentals just steps away, walk to the ferry and whale watch boats. Everything Ptown has to offer is an easy walk. If you do bring a car there is a private parking space for you just 1 block away on Pearl Street. Off-street parking is a thing of wonder in Ptown! What could be better!?

**IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Starting in January 2019, the state of Massachusetts passed a new set of taxes on short-term rentals. The total increase in the rate for this cottage is approximately 12% on top of the $1825 rent. To decrease the impact of this tax the owner will pay half of it and the renter will pay the other half (6%.) This applies only to rentals that start on 7/1/19 and anyone who booked before 1/1/19 is exempt from the tax. It is a very unfortunate lack of support by the state for the tourism on which Provincetown is so grateful for and dependent upon!

I've been coming to Provincetown since I was 13 years old, brought my kids for summers in Ptown and now our two grandsons come each June and love to do the very same things my kids did (Penny Patch for candy, Trolley tour, Arts Dune Tours, water taxi to Long Point Beach, kayak, etc, etc). Seeing the traditions carry on from generation to generation is a real joy. Last summer our 7-year old grandson sold his drawings in front of the library (25 cents each) and made $10 in half an hour. For our family there is simply no place like Ptown!
Why they chose this property
Puffin Cottage has an amazing as it does right on the beach and sheltered by the breakwater where the cormorants roost. Because it is so close to the wharf we can watch the fishing boats come and go even on a rainy day when hotel-bound folks can't even tell they're near the water. A favorite rainy day activity is to go across the street to the library and read all the magazines you like but would never subscribe to. The cottage users have access to the large common deck with large picnic table and grills. Our cottage is the only one in our complex that has its own deck. The bike and kayak rentals are half a block away. The bay-side beach is never crowded and there is a tranquility about being so close to the water. You're 4 steps away! You begin to live according to the rhythm of the tides. Yet, just steps up the walkway is the zaniness of Commercial Street where so much of the action is.
What makes this property unique
There is a reason why Ptown is filled with the quality of light. The views from Puffin Cottage are spectacular no matter what time of day or night. Artists come to our beach to paint. Formerly, a bunch of cottages for fishermen, our sweet Seaside Condos has people who have been coming for more than 20 years. We stopped renting our cottage for 4 years because we just couldn't stand to miss any month; but we began renting again three years ago. Get in touch soon! Our weeks go fast!
