Monique and Jean-François offer you their very nice second home, located in a very quiet street, not overlooked. Spacious courtyard, flowery and walled. Summer kitchen, plancha pro, outdoor shower, electric blind.
Parking space in front of the house or parking in the courtyard.

Inside: fitted kitchen, living room 40m2, separate toilet, bathroom with Italian shower, two separate bedrooms, beds of 160 cm. Bedding of very good quality.

Ideal location for a quiet stay and discover the charm of the Ile de Ré. Bike paths from the house located 300m from the beach and 600m from the port and shopping streets and the center with its medieval market. 2 bikes available.
Walks or fishing on the beachfront, the Ile de Ré is full of surprises.



You can do everything from home by bicycle or on foot.
Pedestrian walk on the seafront during the day and evening discover FLEET illuminated by the waterfront.

Wonderful week in this superb house

Our week on the Ile de Re was fantastic. The house was superbly clean, well equipped and so easy to feel at home in. The location was excellent - only 10 minutes from the harbour and the lovely beach. The outside space was ideal for al fresco dinners, sun bathing and relaxing. The interior was stylish, comfortable and the kitchen was very easy to use - ideal for cooking fresh fish from the local market! The owners were so friendly and helpful - merci Jean Francois! We hope to return one day, and we recommend the house to everyone.

Die Wohnung hat eine tolle Lage. Leider waren überall in der Wohnung Hundehaare, obwohl in der Beschreibung angegeben war, dass Haustiere nicht erlaubt sind.

Proche la flotte en ré

Jolie maison avec toutes les commodités, meublée avec goût. Tres bon accueil des propriétaires qui sont charmants et qui nous ont fait un cadeau de bienvenue et permis d'entrer dans la location 2h avant l'horaire initialement annoncée. Un super grille/plancha est mis à disposition et nous en avons bien profité. 2 vélos étaient aussi founis ce qui est un plus indéniable sur l'ile.Une adresse à retenir!

Je rebondis sur les appréciations précédentes: bon accueil par les propriétaires, explications justes pour prendre possession, local parfait pour le confort, la propreté, la possibilité d'user d'une plancha professionnelle, la proximité du port et de la ville ... nous reviendrons sans doute (les propriétaires ont dit être d'accord :-))

great place - very clean, excellent location, helpful owners; expectation for us to arrive at a certain time which is challenging for a number of reasons, including as there seems always a traffic jam on the bridge (they had warned us) - we were late, did not turn out to be a problem, though.

Excellent séjour

Très belle maison très bien équipée, avec des lits faits à votre arrivée si vous prenez le forfait linge, ce qui est fort appréciable. Nous étions 4 et avons trouvé le logement d'une bonne proportion pour ne pas se sentir à l'étroit. Plage à pieds, port et environ en vélo. Nous n'avons pris la voiture que 2 fois sur 1 semaine pour découvrir l'extrémité ouest de l'île et au vue du restant de l'île, je pense que La Flotte est le meilleur village pour se poser, calme, reposant et propre. Bon échange avec le propriétaire.

Location très agréable

Maison très bien située au calme très proche (10 min à pieds) de la plage et des commerces. Maisons très propre et très cosy. La douche extérieure est vraiment agréable au retour de grande ballade ou plage. Les propriétaires sont extrêment sympathiques. Un séjour qui s'est donc forcément très bien passé.

Belle maison spacieuse, très bien tenue et équipée. A 5 min du port et des commerces et à proximité directe de la plage. Très belle maison pour des vacances en famille. Le plus, la cuisine d'été avec un coin plancha super et le grand auvent pour les repas à l'abris du soleil

Excellente adresse

Tout nous a plu:la maison sympa , parfaitement équipée et très propre ,la localisation proche du centre,du port,de la plage,le village de la Flotte , pour nous le plus beau de l’île.De plus, 2 vélos sont à votre disposition ds la cour ( avec cadenas) vous pouvez donc tout faire à bicyclette... bons moments garantis !Un mot sur les proprios qui font l’effort de venir nous accueillir eux mêmes alors qu’ils ont des centaines de kms à faire ! Merci beaucoup à eux!!Ce fut donc un excellent séjour... à réitérer !!!

Sehr charmantes kleines Haus in La Flotte

Das Haus von Madame und Mr Coucke liegt sehr ruhig in einer Nebenstraße von La Flotte, nicht direkt in der Altstadt, aber trotzdem zentral genug (mit dem Fahrrad ca. 5 Minuten, zu Fuß ca. 15 Minuten). Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Insbesondere die Geschirr- und Küchenausstattung ist deutlich umfangreicher als man bei Ferienhäusern gewohnt ist. Da wir zwei Wochen lang ein super Wetter hatten, konnten wir auch den Außenbereich mit Terrasse und Liegemöbel intensiv nutzen (war faktisch wie ein erweiterter Wohnbereich im Freien). Besonders gefallen hat uns auch der Außengrill, den wir häufig benutzt haben. Außerdem wurden zusätzlich zwei Fahrräder kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt. Madame und Mr Coucke sind Privatvermieter und stellen ihr eigenes Ferienhaus zur Verfügung: Empfang, Übergabe, Einrichtung ist daher sehr persönlich, herzlich und individuell, aber eben auch vielleicht ein bisschen anders als bei Objekten, die von einer Dritt-Agentur betreut werden. Wir haben unseren Urlaub dort jedenfalls sehr genossen und würden dort sofort wieder hinfahren. Also absolut eine Empfehlung!

OK property but very unpleasant check-out

I have rented from HomeAway/Vrbo many times in Europe (either through my name or through friends/family) without any real problems - not ever. I am always kind to the owners, have met some lovely people and having been a landlord myself for 20 years, am conscious of little things. This time however, I cannot omit leaving comments on this property to advise future renters. The check-in and check-out was a very negative experience. Check-in less so - it took a very long time as the owners went into way too much detail in each room, lots of personal photos in the property and ordinarily I would not have commented on this - but in hindsight it was a sign. Check-out should have been simple - we used one extra set of sheets and had lost a key for a bike lock, which we had sitting out upon their arrival to discuss with them (they had our deposit so it was just to agree the extra charge, which was 50EUR). I even offered to go and buy the replacement lock to make things easier and suggested I pay the additional laundering of the sheets. In response, I was lectured by the owner in an aggressive tone for losing the bike key, not advising them we would need extra sheets (even though they were left accessible and it was unforeseen as I was ill and had to sleep on the sofa) and how far they had travelled that morning in the holiday traffic for this - they drive from another region on Saturdays to do the check in/out each week and I think also clean (despite me paying a cleaning fee). There were also negative comments about the frost in the refrigerator (it was there when we arrived) and a small tea mark on a plastic tablecloth which was easily wiped off. We were even asked to take the outdoor garbage before the next pick up (there was only pickup midweek and we had put our garbage out at that time)- not sure where we could have put it other than our car! The property was well equipped but it would have been helpful to have fans provided as the bedrooms heat up with all the pavement and it was almost impossible to sleep at night. I am writing this review in English, but have lived in French speaking countries for 10 years so all communication was in French - there was no misunderstanding. Ultimately I felt that the owners did not want to have renters in their second home and their expectations do not meet common rental practices for a weekly holiday rental.

High quality accommodation

My wife and I wanted a good quality gite and this one is very well appointed and maintained. It is located in a quiet area of La Flotte and the surrounding high walls ensure that it is completely private within the secured and paved garden. Our visit was designed to allow us to enjoy access to the dedicated cycle routes of Ile de Re and to be close enough to the centre of a town for meals and evening activity and these objectives were achieved.
