Perfect cottage , lovely throughout, lots of personal touches as you would expect in a family home. The property had everything we needed and more , furnishings and bedding excellent and all pristine clean. The location, a short walk into the lovely town of Crickhowell meant it was perfect for provisions, wondering around the many shops and enjoying the excellent local hostelries for a drink or food. The location is perfect for exploring the Brecon Beacons and area with many walks directly from the cottage. All in all a perfect stay and definitely highly recommended. .

Fabulous cottage in excellent location

My family & I had 4 very enjoyable weeks staying in beautiful Ashfield Cottage. The location was perfect for us - close to family & easy walking distance into Crickhowell town centre. We had wonderful weather & enjoyed sitting in the beautiful garden enjoying the Spring sunshine. Would recommend Ashfield Cottage to anyone visiting that area of South Wales. Joanna is a gracious & wonderful host, very easy to communicate with & quick in her responses.

The property is excellent for exploring Crickhowell and the surrounding area while also being within walking distance of all the major points of interest within the town itself. The host was very friendly and accommodating. The property itself was charming with a lot of personal touches around the house, giving it a cozy feel. We were a party of five and were able to live comfortably. The neighbours are also lovely, and we really enjoyed their company. There's also parking at the front of the property for a small or medium-sized car. Even our longer estate BMW could fit without obstructing the alleyway for other vehicles.

Wonderful Crickhowell!

Beautiful garden…Wonderful location, 2 minutes from the Main Street. Great for exploring Brecon Beacons. House decor was of an age gone by. Would have appreciated garden furniture. Patio at the back needed pots…was a bit austere. Welcome pack much appreciated! We had a great few days…thank you.

Comfortable, atmospheric cottage

We spent our Christmas in Joanna's house which was lovely and warm when we arrived. Very comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped indeed. Although we didn't use it because of the weather and it being December, the garden looks wonderful with a large patio to the front and back. Communication with Joanna was effortless and we would love to come back sometime. Kind regards, Igmar, Liza and Oona

Peaceful break away in a beautiful location

The cottage is really charming and we had a magical stay with our 3 children for a weeks walking and adventure sports. The cottage is very comfortable and basics were provided, the garden is beautiful with a small back yard also. The cottage itself is a couple of minutes from the village itself where you can get most things you need. It was such a joy to be surrounded by such beautiful countryside. Joanna our host was excellent with her communication. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful home, we hope to come again. X

I was sorry that Heinz and his wife considered our cleaning and preparation sub-standard. The whole house had been thoroughly cleaned, wiped/sanitised and left for 72 hours prior to their arrival - which our current policy.

Very central with good facilities

We were 5 adults staying: The location was particularly good as we had taken our parents all in late 80's with us. there is a steep slope of maybe 20 metres then flat 100metres to the shops. The document in the property covered pretty much everything and we had a contact number if needed. Good walking all around the area . A shop in Crickhowell had local walks on small leaflets. so no need to purchase a whole book. A very enjoyable holiday.

The location of the property is a short walk from the town center, which is a fantastic little view into the past, great little shops and a very busy place. The cottage is first class fully equipped and very well furnished,.The views from the front of the property are outstanding and the front garden is lovely just as in the photo, There is plenty of parking for 2 cars, and lots of places of interest within easy reach. The local pubs do great food and are well worth a visit especially the Bridge end.
