Old bread oven with studs set in an orchard. Quiet area with shops nearby, an hour of the Normandy coast, Honfleur or Rouen. The Bernay train station (12 minutes) you can reach Paris in about 1:20. Bernay has been classified 'Town of Art and History' with its beautiful half-timbered houses and its church. The owner can advise on hiking trails in the area and various tourist attractions (the Bec Hellouin, the Harcourt castles, valley of the Seine ....).

Great Normandy Location

The location is on the edge of a quiet village and with only subtle sounds of frogs from the pond and whinnies from the horse it was bliss. This was our 2nd stay and would love to come back again. Transport is required to access local shops but the ride out is so lovely it isnt a worry. We stayed for the 80th anniversary of D-Day and found it a good base to stay for the events. The apple juice left for us was very welcome and the use of the BBQ was excellent as we had such good weather. The gite is well equipped (apart from BBQ utensils) and very clean. We would highly recommend and the owners are at hand for any queries you may have. Thank you for making our stay so nice.

The property was in a beautiful country location, just what we were looking for. Our host showed us the property when we arrived, but otherwise we did not see her. The frog pond next door was unique! The property was fine for 2 but would have been a squeeze in the living area for more, especially if the weather was poor and it wasn't possible to sit outside. The ground floor included one compact living/dining/kitchen room, one bedroom and a shower room. Upstairs had been converted into a large spacious bedroom with 2 sections each with a double bed, but the stairs were very narrow and steep. The washing machine was at the top of the stairs. The gite had character with a huge fireplace and had all the facilities promised in the property information, but what let it down was the quality of the bedding, towels, cutlery and crockery. We would have expected better quality for the price. The nearest supermarkets were in the outskirts of Bernay, about 10 minutes drive.

Nous sommes désolés que notre gîte ne vous ait pas donné entière satisfaction. Mon épouse est passée le lendemain de votre arrivée pour savoir si le WiFi fonctionnait bien, gardant ainsi le contact avec vous. En ce qui concerne l'escalier, il est bien visible sur une photo que vous avez pu consulter lors de votre réservation, vous montrant ainsi son étroitesse. Vous êtes les premiers à vous plaindre de la literie et des serviettes , nous veillons pourtant à la qualité de ce service. Et enfin et en ce qui concerne le rapport qualité prix: 72€ / nuit frais de service Abritel inclus , nous sommes un des plus bas du marché dans la région, au regard du cadre de vie et des prestations proposés.

Gîte fonctionnel, frais par les fortes chaleurs, au calme. Isolé mais idéal pour qui cherche à l'être. Menneval et Bernay pas loin avec toutes les commodités. Beaux petits villages à visiter. Honfleur à une petite heure de route magnifique. Jardin clôturé pour nos toutous 😄. Propriétaires proches une petite centaine de mètres mais discrets et charmants et séparés par une haie. Table de ping pong à l'ombre. Tout était parfait
