About this property

"Bliss 59" - Beautiful Chalet with Garden

Offering the perfect holiday for a couple seeking total peace and relaxation.
We are in beautiful countryside, yet close to two local thriving villages,offering a whole array of amenities.
The chalet has been completed and tastefully decorated recently to a high standard furthermore it is fully insulated for either winter or summer occupancy. it is located in our large garden with a nice selection of trees and shrubs and a beautiful pond.
There are some very nice walks in countryside in our immediate area, however , the Normandy Beaches are not too far away.
There are 3 local markets that trade every week and are always busy, they offer a true taste of French Life.
Also , Deauville , Trouville , Honfleur , are not too far away and well worth a day out !!! We are approximately one hour's drive from the ports of Le Havre and of Ouisterham.

The location was great, easy access to all places of interest in Normandy. The gite had everything we needed and our hosts were outstanding, offering advice on places to visit and the best local food outlets. A fabulous experience.

Blissfully, beautiful location

A wonderful, peaceful location with beautiful gardens. Perfect for easy access to charming local towns, villages and the beautiful Normandy coastline. The accommodation was very cosy and comfortable (especially the bed) with everything we needed. David and Tricia were the perfect hosts - on hand to share their extensive local knowledge and offer plenty of excellent recommendations of where to eat and visit. Thank you both for making our stay so relaxing and enjoyable - we would love to return in the future.

Peaceful surroundings, perfect for relaxing in a lovely well equipped gite.

We enjoyed our week in the gite, which was certainly the best equipped self-catering accommodation we ever have stayed in. David and Tricia were very welcoming, made sure that we had everything we needed on arrival, and provided us with lots of information on places to visit, shopping etc. It was very peaceful - just what we needed, and it was always a pleasure to return to this lovely spot after a day out.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chalet Bliss. Everything was just perfect – the house is very cozy, comfortable, and beautifully kept, and we truly didn’t miss anything during our time here. We slept very well, and the whole atmosphere made us feel at home right away.Even though we could only spend a short holiday here, we really appreciated the flexibility that we didn’t have to book for a whole week, which made it so much easier for us.The garden was fantastic for our dogs – they could happily run and play, which made the stay even more relaxing for us. It’s truly a dog-friendly place and ideal for a getaway with pets.We are very grateful to our hosts David and Tricia for their warm welcome and care. An excellent place to explore Normandy

Normandy is a wonderful place for a vacation. The countryside is very beautiful, the sea nearby, and there are interesting towns with nice cafés, bars, restaurants and museums nearby. The cottage is a great place from which to explore Normandy. It is set in a beautiful garden, it is very quiet, and just sitting on the terrace is pure vacation. In addition, David and Tricia are very obliging hosts who gave us tips on the surrounding area and occasionally treated us to cider and wine. All in all, highly recommended!

A Gem in the peaceful countryside

The property is ideal for two people. Lovely big gardens so quiet and peaceful but not to far from the delights of Honfleur and other coastal towns. The home had all the essentials that we needed and the owners Tricia and David went above and beyond to help out when we were stuck. If you require a lively holiday this is not for you, for a haven of tranquility, peace and quiet and the chance to de-stress i thoroughly recommend this property.

Wow.

Wow,wow,wow, an oasis of heaven on earth. Bliss 59 was superb. Located in David and Tricia's beautiful garden in a rural location. The only noise was the cheery singing of the birds. Not to rural to be that distant from anywhere. The accommodation was first class, super comfy bed and pillows, equally as comfortable chairs in the lounge area. David and Tricia have thought of everything that you would need for a fantastic holiday. These two folk are two of the nicest people you could meet and nothing is any trouble to them. Take advantage of Tricia's cooking skills and ask her to do a meal, outstanding. We would recommend here to anyone and are already looking at a return visit. Thanks ever so much both of you.

Het was een heerlijke week. Het is een klein compact en schoon huisje met een goede douche en prima bed. Houd je van koken, dan mis je daarvoor de goede mogelijkheden. Gastheer en vrouw zijn zeer aardig en behulpzaam en als je ze nodig hebt zijn ze er voor je. Je bent vrij, ondanks dat ze naast je wonen.

Séjour très agréable et reposant

Un petit chalet douillet au calme dans un grand parc où notre berger australien a pu se dépenser à loisir. Les propriétaires David et Tricia sont discrets et d'une très grande gentillesse. Le cadeau de bienvenue a été très apprécié. Grâce aux conseils précieux des propriétaires, nous avons pu visiter les jolies villes de Trouville, Deauville, Honfleur et ses jardins, les petits villages typiques du pays d'Auge ainsi que la basilique de Lisieux ... Grand merci à David et Tricia.

My wife Tricia and I purchased this property with the specific plan to retire and live here .
Since purchasing this ex-farmhouse it has been a constant renewal and renovation program, but with the intent not to change any charm or the beauty of this very old building which has a history dating back since 1661 !!!!
In fact the person we bought this beautiful longere from was born and lived most of his life here .
He now lives across the road from us and is a frequent visitor to his ancestral home !
We have tried NOT to change the aspects of our home and we are mindful of keeping the house's "olde worlde" charms.

Why they chose this property

My wife and I fell in love with this property in 1988 and purchased it with view to retirement.
Peace, Tranquility,Clean fresh air, a much slower lifestyle, a forest at the end of the lane, wild animals and birds all around us .
And yet if it is the hussle and bussle that you need, Deauville,Trouville,Honfleur are about 45 minutes away.
Paris is only 245km from here too.
We both come from catering backgrounds and we are happiest when entertaining friends and family
