Located in the heart of Funchal, a few steps from the municipal market, bakeries, bars and restaurants. Access to the ocean just around the corner. It is an ideal place for people who like to be in a traditional and old part of the city. It is always full of life!
The old town is very lively, especially on weekends and bank holidays. People are out to meet in the alleys to enjoy life. There is only one thing left to do: to celebrate and take part in the joy of life!
This is a typical place of the old city where people still live. Bars and restaurants are some of the neighbors, which means that this area is full of life. You will be able to find tourists mixed with the local population that includes fishermen, bakers, street vendors, cooks, etc. Do not expect complete silence as it is a very central place where people live, walk and talk. Be part of it and feel the happiness of an old historical center.

This apartment is part of a small building that has been totally renovated. It is situated in the old part of Funchal. We call it "Casa Pimpinela" which is one of the most typical vegetables of Madeira Island. This vegetable is green and that is why our decor includes green items that bring excellent contrast to the walls and white furniture. Being an old building with solid walls, Casa Pimpinela never gets cold in winter.
There are some books on the shelves for the guests. If you wish, you can leave your books already read in it. What's more, you can use Wi-Fi.
Especially for small children, we can provide a crib for newborns up to about 4 years of age, baby carriage, high chair etc.
Casa Pimpinela is perfect for 2 adults and one child until more or less 4 years.

Hair dryer, bathroom towels and beach towels are available in the apartment.

The central bus station of Funchal and the famous Monte cable car are about 400 meters away from the apartment. To get to Funchal from the airport, you can use the AEROBUS (Praça da Autonomia). This station is just 600 meters from Casa Pimpinela. The AEROBUS costs € 5.00 p. P. one way and return € 8.00 p. P.

Feel and treat this home as your own. Smoking inside the Casa Pimpinela is not allowed. Obligatory cleaning every second week for longer stays (more than 15 days). Cleaning cost due to the customer (€35 each time).
