About this property
French country delight with pool, between vineyards and Niagara River, golf
As you drive up to French Affair you will be surrounded by gorgeous views, beautiful houses and spacious, manicured lawns, well recessed from the parkway. This 3,000 square foot home is the ultimate in Vacation Celebration! Ample room to reconnect with your family and friends! Ambiance, convenience, a view of vineyards and river, and not just your everyday pool!
In French Affair you’ll be welcomed in the large, central hallway. Take your luggage right upstairs and pick your room! All 4 bedrooms are airy, spacious, with brand new furniture, ample closet space and a view from every window! The sunrise above the river is incredible, yet discrete, in both King and the Twins' room. The King has an en-suite with a large shower and a beautiful sitting area, overlooking the river. It's perfect for those who like to sleep in, or relax with the good book. In both the Queen and the Double you will want to keep the curtains open, not to miss your very private view over the vineyards in the setting sun! The luxurious beds are made with high quality bed linens and are so comfy-cozy, you’ll be sure to have sweet dreams. The main, spacious bathroom has a tub and double sinks.
On the main floor you have an elegant, comfortable living room perfect for great conversations around the wood burning fireplace, and with the view of Niagara Parkway. The dining room, overlooking the gorgeous, professionally maintained natural back garden, and vineyards, has a harvest table big enough to accommodate everyone and can be either formal or casual. Open and roomy, with the French door from the breakfast nook to the back garden, the well equipped kitchen is stocked with everything you need for your gourmet taste! If you crave to hear the news, want to see your favourite show on a big screen TV before bedtime, or simply warm up in front of the other wood- burning fireplace on those cool winter or late spring evenings, you can sprawl out on the most comfortable, dawn-filled, extra large, French style sofa and chairs in the family room with more of the garden, pool or vineyard views through the French door. Enjoy the breathtaking sunsets an orange horizons over the endless vines in this amazing oasis of natural gardens. We do come once a week to tend to the garden, but we won’t interfere with your enjoyment!
This is just not any pool! Designed for a professional swimmer, it's fully enclosed by a decorative and functional wrought iron fence. The gate has a high latch and it is out of reach for children. Please no glass or china in the gated pool area!
The garden and waterfall make it difficult to leave this estate and experience the wineries that are within walking distance. Whether you want to try Inniskiln or Reif, both wineries are practically your neighbours. Close but not too close!
From French Affair you would drive for less than 5 minutes to the main shopping, dining and theatre district in Niagara-on-the-Lake and 20 minutes to famous Niagara Falls. Our recommendation, though, leave your car and pedal around this extremely picturesque area. Niagara Parkway offers stunning and unforgettable vistas all along the mighty Niagara River and further. It is a delight in any season. Dotted along the parkway are quaint fruit stands, orchards, world renowned wineries as well as fabulous boutique wineries that specialize in local, organic or so good and famously Canadian - ice wines!
This home is 3000 square feet of elegance and charm, a place where you can feel at home and away from it all!

About the host
Hosted by Snez
We have become empty nesters as our children have left for school and stayed away. We have also had the very good fortune to do a lot of travelling and to live in several places around the world. As for our love of both Niagara-on-the-Lake and Provençe, we choose French Affair as our home away from home because it has the best of both worlds, the endless fields and orchards, the wine country right in our own backyard, but also the theatre, restaurants, golf and all other wonders of Mother Nature!
Someday we hope to retire at French Affair, but for now we are happy to share it with you! We hope that you will love it as much as we do!!
