We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend and come again.
Very accurate to the on-line description. Exceptionally clean and well stocked. Location was perfect. We enjoyed both the wine country and our trip to the coast. Looking for our next stay.
We had a great stay in this very comfortable property. Linda and Michael were friendly and helpful. The actual property is even better than on the photos. We would come back in a heartbeat.

We are so glad you enjoyed your time here - perfect poolside and wine tasting weather! Come back anytime - we’ll have more organic fruit and vegetables ready!
Perhaps our favorite VRBO rental to date. The cottage has plenty of space for two and every possible convenience is provided...even a picnic basket to take on your wine country adventure. Linda and Michael are lovely hosts.
We will definately come again!
This is a great find, private but with great accessibility to all that the area has to offer. Sparkling clean, uncluttered, and full of thoughtful touches to make the perfect stay. The pool was a wonderful perk considering the 100 degree heat wave in October!
Linda was so welcoming and accessible, but unobstrusive - allowing me to feel that I had the place to myself.
Highly recommend this amazing cottage and the overall luxurious experience.
We really enjoyed this property. Well styled. Everything felt clean and new. And the setting, at the foot of Mt. Hood, was beautiful. It was lovely to meet Linda who greeted us as we arrived and showed us around the property. We would definitely like to stay at this property again.
Our first, but not last, trip to Sonoma Valley was perfect. This private cottage has everything for a comfortable stay. It is close to beautiful wineries, great restaurants and hiking trails. Linda and Michael are amazing hosts and had several great ideas on area attractions. I almost hate to say too many good things about our stay. I want it to be available for our return trip!

We loved sharing our knowledge of the area with you, and look forward to your next visit!
I wish I could give this property a 10 star rating because it was absolutely amazing! I have been to plenty of rentals but this one will stand out in my mind as one of the best I’ve been too. The cottage was cozy and just what we needed for the week. It was spotless and the host Linda was fabulous. The property was beautiful and mountains can be seen from the kitchen. I would definitely stay again.

Great jumping off point for wine region
This cottage was exactly as shown in pictures. Linda and Mike were great hosts and we enjoyed cooling off in the pool. Kenwood allowed us to enjoy wine tastings in the Sonoma, Napa and Santa Rosa areas - all within an hour drive or less. The accommodations were wonderful. As a note, the property is not air conditioned, but we were provided a box fan which helped us keep cool at night. Great place to stay!

Great central location in Wine Country
The perfect place to stay in the heart of wine country. Centrally located in Kenwood CA your just 20 minutes to downtown Sonoma, Healdsburg and the Russian river valley. In addition to the wineries your only 1 hr away from Jenner CA where you can drive to watch a spectacular sunset. A 'must do' if the weather is clear. The owners have done a great job creating the perfect cottage with all the amenities you need including a pool and a great outdoor space to unwind at the end of the day. We had a great time and will be booking our return real soon. Thanks again for a great stay.

Between wine-tasting, beer-tasting, great restaurants and evening star-gazing from the garden, it's great to know that you enjoyed your harvest time stay! We look forward to welcoming you back.
5 star review. The cottage was super clean, you felt that as soon as you entered the door. We enjoy quiet and the cottage was that. It was too cold to swim but the pool and the grounds around the pool reminded us of a resort, with the well manicured grass and walkways. Linda was very welcoming and accommodating, over-all a wonderful stay, I would highly recommend this property.

We loved staying at Linda’s property. The home is perfect and just as pictured. Linda is a lovely host. When we arrived, we had breakfast in the refrigerator along with orange juice and coffee. The pool is beautiful and the grounds of the home are amazing. It’s quiet, peaceful and relaxing. I highly recommend Linda’s home if you authentic California experience. We would love to have stayed longer. Linda will ensure your stay is comfortable and offer recommendations of wineries and restaurants near the home. Thank you for a great week! Angie and Shields

Beautiful Sonoma Rosso Cottage
We had a wonderful stay at Sonoma Rosso. Linda is a fine hostess. She provided fresh tomatoes from her garden, great information on local wineries and restaurants and her communication with us before and during our stay was greatly appreciated. The cottage is beautiful and very quiet. The kitchen is well laid out, the bedroom is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. We really enjoyed the entertainment system and the lovely outdoor pool. We were very happy to stay out in the country, away from the noise and traffic. We highly recommend Sonoma Rosso to anyone visiting the Sonoma Valley.

We are so pleased you liked our location - the cottage is amazingly quiet and peaceful since we are set off the main road. We think it's ideal being central to all the wine tasting in Sonoma Valley, as well as the Carneros District to the south, Napa to the east, and Healdsburg/Russian River to the north. Thanks for your kind words, and we hope to welcome you back on your next trip!

Cottage Paradise
The cottage is even more beautiful than the photos. It exceeded our expectations. The grounds are beautiful and the surroundings are so peaceful. The hostess thought of everything when equipping the cottage. The location was ideal. It was extremely comfortable, immaculately clean, bright and cheery. We loved the complete and fully stocked kitchen. The hostess is lovely and very helpful without being intrusive. The organic garden with the delicious tomatoes was an added perk. I have already recommended the cottage to several friends and would return without hesitation!

Sonoma Rossa cottage s a gem!
This beautiful and stunning cottage is nestled in a perfect location in Kenwood. Minutes from wineries, a grocery store, yummy restaurants, and 2 small cities on either side. Linda, the owner, has thought of everything for your stay: local information, pool towels, hair dryer, kitchenware, etc. Not only is the cottage outfitted but it is decorated perfectly. A true get away! We enjoyed eating breakfast in the kitchen and drinking a glass of wine in the afternoon at the outdoor table. The pool was nice and refreshing for the hot days. We even helped ourselves to vegetables in the garden. This place is a true gem and we will be returning! Thank you Linda for making our Anniversary unforgettable!!!

Thank you so much! It's great to hear from experienced VRBO travelers that we "topped the chart." Our goal is to make the cottage a complete and beautiful mini-home - so glad you had a good stay.
We have stayed in vacation rentals all over the world and this was, by far, the best. We stayed here a week and never missed the comforts of home because Linda and Michael have included them as standard accommodations in this lovely property. Cleanliness and comfortable bedding is always at the top of my list and they delivered! Nespresso coffee maker is pretty high on my list — done! Bathrobes, plush towels and tv remotes that actually work — done! The grounds of this property are well groomed and you feel as though you are in a beautiful arboretum. We never once dreaded going back to the cottage after a day of wine tasting, because it felt like home. The owners are genuinely gracious and have gone the extra mile to make this a welcoming oasis. Well done! Thank you for a relaxing vacation and thank you for stocking the fridge with our first breakfast!

Pristine Sonoma Wine Country cottage and lovely home-away-from-home! We'll be back!
Delightful owners Linda and Michael Rosso accompanied us for our introduction to our brand new and beautifully appointed one bedroom rental cottage at Sonoma Rosso -- our “home-away-from-home” for the New Year holidays and three-night stay. Their enthusiasm for living in the midst of the wine country was evident and quite contagious! The lovely pristine cottage had an eat-in and fully equipped kitchen with a beautiful tabletop for two made from former wine barrels, full-size refrigerator and stovetop and microwave as well as Nespresso machine and a variety of coffee and tea choices for the mornings with cheerful red accents in the brand new cookware and utensils. We have never stayed in such a well-equipped unit with everything from seasonings to plastic bags and wrap, napkins and all kinds of baking dishes, bowls, plates and skillets. They have thought of everything...from picnic baskets to outdoor private BBQ grill, plastic outdoor dishes for poolside dining under the gazebo, to a lovely seating area with table and chairs outside the cottage for when the weather warms and we come back for another stay! Everything is well-marked in the kitchen, so it makes it easy to return it to its original cabinet location after use.
The clever clothespin board in the kitchen is loaded with Sonoma vineyard tasting brochures and discounts and ideas for happenings and activities in and around Kenwood and the neighboring Wine Country. A customized map on the wall shows the specific geographic area and winery locations off Hwy 12 and near Sonoma Rosso.
The living room had a flat screen high definition large TV with full cable access, large l-shaped comfortable sectional and reading chairs and lamps. The cottage is full of colorful framed Rosso posters and original oil landscape paintings, some of which were painted by owner and artist Linda Rosso.
The comfortable queen-sized bed was accompanied by three choices of pillow types, extra cozy blankets, a ceiling fan and light and charging stations at each bedside for tablets and phones. The ample closets had fluffy new striped beach towels for the saltwater pool outside the front door, guest robes and slippers, and the bath had ample towel sets, bath amenities and a tub and shower combination. The ample natural light in the cottage was easily controlled by moving the blades on the plantation shutters to adjust from light to dark or for privacy.
We brought in 2016 in signature Sonoma Rosso style. We'll return!
