Welcome to Birdsong Cabin! We offer a fully furnished, fully stocked, clean and comfortable home on Lake LBJ - which happens to be the largest constant level lake in the United States! We are pet friendly. Pets require prior approval please. Birdsong Cabin is a single story home, the only steps are down to the water and a step or few at the front and back doors. Inside there are no steps! So no worries about carrying groceries, kiddos and pets up and down stairs.

Our home sleeps 6 comfortably, which is the maximum number of people allowed on our property at all times. Birdsong Cabin is a 3 bedroom home with 2 full baths. Two bedrooms each have a king size bed, while the third bedroom has two full/double size beds. Both baths have walk-in showers with white subway tile. One bathroom is conveniently located near the front entrance to the home and the second bath is located by the back patio for easy access from outdoors.

From the open concept kitchen and covered back patio, you look out onto the water cove which circles an island dotted with trees. All types of wildlife can be seen in the cove. Nutria, beavers, fish, turtles, cranes, hawks, geese and owls! Our cove is calm and peaceful river cove, perfect for kayaking, fishing and floating! Bring your water toys. The water is about 4'-6' deep, so NO DIVING in the water. Birdsong Cabin has 60' of private waterfront for you and your group to enjoy. The cove is boatable all the way around the island and out to the open water of the Colorado River. The pictures in the listing are accurate and show what the water level is like at all times on Lake LBJ.

Please keep in mind this property is waterfront to a Texas river and not fenced at the water, so watch your children and pets, and provide your own life jackets/safety devices. The backyard is fenced on three sides and there is no fencing at the water. It's a 3 minute boat ride from Birdsong Cabin to open water, on the main Colorado River, where it is action packed. You can tie up your boat/Sea Doo/water toys at Birdsong Cabin's waterfront and relax without the big waves of open water (bring rubber bumpers/ropes). And don't forget your kayaks, paddle boards, other water toys & fishing gear. We recommend you stay in the cove's calm water, away from the main part of the Colorado River with personal water toys. Please keep in mind our cove is a natural aquarium. There is underwater vegetation and wildlife, as this is part of the Colorado River ecosystem and changes with seasons and weather.

The open kitchen at Birdsong Cabin has black granite counters with a huge center island for entertaining. There are open upper shelves and a fully stocked with kitchen dishes, barware and glasses. We provide most small and large appliances you have at home. Outside the back patio has a charcoal grill and outdoor wrought iron furniture. Don't forget your laundry detergent, charcoal, lighter fluid, coffee, shampoo and conditioner.

There are covered overhangs on both the side and rear patios. We have horseshoes and washer boards for enjoyment! Come stay with us and get ready to relax and take in Lake LBJ living!

Please note, THE TOTAL NUMBER OF GUESTS ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY AT A TIME, IS THE NUMBER OF GUESTS LISTED IN YOUR RESERVATION. If this rule is broken, Security Deposit will be lost. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

We have a Ring security camera located at the exterior front entrance overlooking the driveway and gate. .

Pets up to 50 lbs are allowed WITH PRIOR APPROVAL ONLY. Non-refundable pet fee of $25 per day, per dog. Pets brought without permission will result in Security Deposit being lost. Pet owners, please pick up after your pet so we can continue to make Birdsong Cabin a Pet Friendly Vacation Rental! Please, non-shedding pets only. We may be able to make an exception to these rules in certain cases, so please reach out and ask.

Check-in time is 4:00 pm. Check-out time is 11:00 am. Weekly lawn maintenance is typically provided one day during the weekdays (subject to change per weather, holidays, scheduling conflicts, etc.). Please make sure personal items are not on grass when mowing occurs.

Splash Boat Rentals out of Kingsland, TX is nearby and they rent boats and water toys. Also Log Country Cove rents boats as well.
