We enjoyed our stay very much. Very relaxing and very quiet. Location was perfect. Chris road his bike on the back roads and I walked everywhere. We will be back next year. Oh we loved the wildlife. Thank you!
What a beautiful cabin!! So amazing to wake up to fresh air and the views! Loved having the electric tea kettle and my husband enjoyed his coffee! Also appreciated all the bottled water and water station! Everything was comfortable and homey! Wayne was so easy to communicate with and we appreciated the dining suggestions! We will definitely return!
Everything was wonderful—the view is beautiful, the hosts are very nice, and I especially loved the living room. I could sit on the sofa and read there all day.
Everything about this perfect birthday retreat met and surpassed our expectations! It was close to our home, so no need to travel far, but it felt a million miles away. Still our beautiful Sonoma County, where we were surrounded by views of vines, hills and morning fog. Wayne, our host, was welcoming, and the hospitality was kind and thoughtful. We will return!
Cabin was in excellent condition. Well stocked fridge. Beautiful views. Second time we have stayed at this cabin, and it won't be the last. Absolute love it!
A perfect retreat with vineyard views throughout. Every comfort you would want in a cabin. Our hosts were wonderful, helpful and great communicators. Highly recommend this rustic cabin!
If you want remote, this is your place! The cabin is very comfortable and clean. The bed was amazing, as well as the reclining sofa and chair and plush throws. Wayne’s cabin is in a vineyard. The views are wonderful. There is wine and lots of other things that are there for you. If you like to cook, the kitchen is well furnished with nice cookware, dishes, wine glasses, a marble cheese slicer, and lots of spices, and fridge items. A washer and dryer are in the garage. My husband and I enjoyed our time at the cabin, and had great wine tastings at Sterling and Del Dotto. Sterling was over the top with pours. Del Dotto was outstanding with the tour, and it was just us. Wine is sampled directly from the oak barrels in the cave.
The cabin was comfortable with everything we needed and the hosts were very helpful and provided lots of great information for a very enjoyable stay. They gave us lots of detailed information on the wineries near by, restaurant reviews and many more suggestions for hikes and exploration. We were able to explore the nearby town of Healdsburg and had a great visit to this very beautiful area in the rural area on a vineyard and watched the sunrise and nature from an excellent vantage point every day. We loved the experience and definitely want to visit again especially in the winter after the rains when the hills turn so green with wild mustard and other wildflowers beginning to bloom amongst the vineyard vines! I bet other seasons have their own things to see too. Thank you to Wayne and Pauline for sharing this peek of Rogers Historic Vineyard !
We had an amazing stay at the cabin. The place is cozy, spotless, and has everything you could need. The setting in the heart of a vineyard is wonderful - so much natural beauty and peace, plus fantastic birdwatching from the deck! And Wayne went above and beyond to make our stay a special one. Thanks so much for having us!
We had an amazing stay with Wayne after our wedding. He was responsive, helpful, and had so many amenities waiting for us there. We really felt right at hope and it was the perfect place to unwind and relax after a busy weekend of wedding festivities.
Enjoyed our first stay a few years back. Enjoyed it even better the second time around. Will definitely keep coming back. Thank you so much for opening your home for others to experience the serenity and allowing us to make it our home away from home.
Our stay at the Dry Creek Cabin was beautiful, comfortable and cozy. It was well appointed, had a very comfortable bed, an updated kitchen with everything you’d need, a great deck with a Blackstone grill, and views for days! The stars at night were just gorgeous. The cabin in the middle of vineyards was such a treat and we would not hesitate to book it again or recommend it to friends.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay in this cozy cabin. Spotlessly clean and well appointed. The host could not have been more accommodating and kinder. A perfect location for a very peaceful and romantic getaway. A great base from which to explore Sonoma.
Roger’s Cabin is a great place to stay if you want to get away from everything. Quiet, serene setting with lots of nature. We picked black berries and hung out on the patio enjoying the peace and quiet.

About the host
Hosted by Wayne Rogers
Amy and Harry Rogers purchased this promiscuously (botanical term) planted vineyard in 1962. By 1972 the grapes were harvested for David Stare's (Dry Creek Vineyards) Premiere Zinfandel bottling in 1973, 1974, and 1975. Over the years, Rogers Vineyards Zinfandel grapes have been found in numerous high end producers - including Preston and Fritz Cellars. The last thirty-two years (since 1987) the grapes have been a part of the world renowned A. Rafanelli Winery Zinfandel.
Wayne and Pauline are your hosts and have tried to make their 'little home in the country', your 'little home in the country'. They make their main home four miles down the road on a Sauvignon Blanc Vineyard. Healdsburg is more than just a home for the Rogers'. Please feel free to call them if you would like to view the town through a locals eye. They love to talk 'story' on Healdsburg.
Why they chose this property
This vineyard has been in the Rogers family for over 50+ years. The property owners would like to share with those that want to experience all aspects of Healdsburg. Wayne Rogers grew up in Healdsburg on weekends, vacations, and summers as a child (since 1962). He wanted his own kids to have a 'like' experience and so moved his immediate family to Healdsburg - full time - 1997.
The entire family has made Healdsburg their permanent home and hope all guests will be able to experience many of the wonderful activities in Healdsburg that made it so desirable for the Rogers'.
What makes this property unique
Zin, Zin, Zin. Old Vine Zinfandel grapes makes this vineyard & cabin unique and one of the driving factors for Amy and Harry to become farmers.
For our visitors to wine country, and in particular, Healdsburg, this cabin has a location that is convenient to all events/facilities that make Healdsburg a travel destination. You are ten minutes from the Healdsburg Plaza with its world reknown eateries, tasting rooms, bakeries, and brewery.
If wine tasting is your fancy, you can start out in the middle of a Dry Creek Valley from your Rogers Vineyards Cabin vantage point.
Located one mile off West Dry Creek Road, the cabin is quiet and the star lit night skies are something to behold. Morning turkey calls or song birds will be your largest disturbance. You may get glimpses of the turkeys or deer or rabbits or pigs or squirrels. Wildlife abounds. You can hike the country road where you may or may not see a car. If you brought bicycles, ride them on a paved road out to West Dry Creek Road - one of the best roads in the nation for biking.
