Our lovely 3 bedroom 2 full bath cottage is perched on a 14 acre mountain ridge surrounded by trees and nature. A beautiful mountain view can be enjoyed year- round from the decks, patio, and several sitting areas. There is an abundance of songbirds, and butterflies, that share the peaceful inclosed zen garden , located just steps out the back door. A fire-pit with plenty of fire wood and a grill for out door cooking are available. This well equipped, sparkling clean vacation get-a-way is great for a small group, couples retreat, a family with children, or a romantic get-a-way to share with a special person in your life. This adorable 3 Bedroom 2 full bath mountain cottage is tastefully furnished. It has a spacious well-equipped full-size kitchen and includes a microwave and dishwasher. There is a separate dining room, living room with HD TV, and a cozy den with a free standing wood burning fireplace. The cottage can accommodate up to 6 adults The garden/patio is nicely landscaped with a fountain, outdoor lighting, fire chimney , and also has a space for outdoor games. It is completely fenced for the safety of small children. The garden is well lit so it can also be enjoyed in the evening as well. If you listen close you can hear the owls hooting just after dark. The stars and moon are so bright in the peaceful dark skies of the surrounding mountains. This property is located just minutes to lots of popular hiking and biking trails, white water rafting, down town Asheville, the Bilmore Estate the NC Aboritum, Blue Ridge ParkwSierra Nevada Brewery and so much more in this get-a-way mountain home.

Lovely home, very clean, with all the amenities you can possibly need. Very conveniently location just outside downtown Asheville. The outdoor spaces are great. WINTER STAY NEAR ASHEVILLE

I cannot say enough good things about this cozy cabin on the hilltop with a beautiful view. Fully stocked with all you need for cooking cleaning and comfort. This is our 4th stay and will continue to be our go to home near Asheville.

Very nice and cozy home.Enjoyed building a fire in the woodstove. Beautiful view from front of home. The house had everything we could have needed.. My only complaint would be that a couple of the beds were less than comfortable but overall a great place to stay .

Our long weekend at the Owl’s Perch was fabulous! Cathy has a comfortable, well stocked rental that is near to everything around Asheville, yet in a country setting. Our family enjoyed two campfires and got great sleep in the comfortable beds. Very much suggest this wonderful VRBO!

I grew up on a small farm in the Mills River community and graduated from college with a degree in horticulture and landscaping. I love to bike, hike, and garden. Outdoor photography is one of my favorite hobbies. And with the abundance of wildlife, birds, waterfalls, streams, and colorful seasons it is easy to always find something to fill the frame.

Why they chose this property

I have a great love and appreciation for the mountains and am very grateful for my heritage. To own a place where others can come to stay and enjoy this lovely area is such a privilege. With the 4 seasons and comfortable climate, it can truly be enjoyed year round.

What makes this property unique

Beautiful mountain views can be enjoyed year- round from the decks and several sitting areas. There is an abundance of songbirds, wild turkeys, deer and other wildlife that share the 14 area mountain ridge. A completely fenced backyard with a patio/garden is so relaxing and just steps out the back door. There are two decks for grilling and outdoor dining. This lovely vacation home get-a-way is great for a small group, couples retreat, a family with children or a romantic get-a-way to share with a special person in your life. Owls Perch is close to several area wedding. This cottage is an easy drive to downtown Asheville, the Biltmore Estate, Grove Park Inn, Blue Ridge Parkway, NC Arboretum, Maggie Valley, Harrah's casino, and Cherokee Indian Reservation. Outlet shopping, Antiquing, and or course beautiful waterfalls, tons of hiking and biking trails, zip-line, golfing fishing and skiing. The list goes on and on.
