Our hosts were super friendly and helpful in their initial welcome messages. The space is in a great spot next door to a local brewery, and not far from several other options along the river. The place was clean, and welcoming. We would stay there again.
Wonderful stay! Location was very close to downtown and a very cute coffee shop. The hot tub was very nice and clean, and the supplied tub towels were a hit. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay, which we did but it was all too short!

So glad you enjoyed your stay. Come back and visit us soon. We'll be waiting for you.
We visited Asheville with our 4- and 6- year old boys and this was a great place to stay! Super close to lots of fun attraction's. Check out Riverside Rhapsody and have some brisket! So delicious and fam friendly!
The bbq and brewery next door was delicious. Thankfully they close at 9pm so didn’t disrupt our night. Hot tub was a plus. Liked the open design of the living area and kitchen.
We loved our stay at the Red Hen. And with three smaller kids the fenced in yard was perfect! The cabin was very spacious and well equipped for everything we needed. Kitchen, large bathroom, W&D, yard, hot tub you name it.
And the Beer & BBQ place next door was a great surprise, we walked over a few times and the food was great.
All in all would HIGHLY recommend the Red Hen.

Well Stocked & Close to Everything
This rental is one of the most well-stocked houses we have ever stayed in. The owners have really thought of everything and it made for a seamless stay. The kitchen has everything you could need and the bathroom had plenty of towels and toiletries. The house is a straight shot to downtown and it is very easy to get Uber/Lyft rides. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to everyone!

Great private cottage easily accessible to Asheville!
My husband and I wanted a place just outside Asheville that we could use as a home base for brewery stops, hiking and drives along the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Red Hen was perfect! There was a nice little hot tub in the side yard that was perfect for relaxing after a day of hiking and a very good assortment of guidebooks in the living room. The property also abuts Riverside Rhapsody brewing (which closes at 9 so no need to worry about it being too loud at night) Would recommend to anyone staying around Asheville!
This exceptionally clean home is a great spot for a quick visit to Asheville. The kitchen is well stocked and the living area is spacious. For us, the beds could stand to be replaced with higher quality mattresses with support. The location seemed a bit questionable but we didn’t spend much time except for the evenings at the home. In terms of access to Asheville activities, things were a reasonable distance, usually within 15-30 minutes. Overall this rental met our needs.
We were only here for a short time and mainly just needed a place to sleep. The hot tub and location attracted us and was exactly what we needed during our stay. Location was perfect for getting downtown, and the hot tub was working and clean.
The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies and was very clean. The house is right next to a really great restaurant that we walked to for dinner and loved.
Our only negative was that both beds were very uncomfortable and did not feel clean. There were a lot of spiders and bugs in the house particularly in the bathroom but that's to be expected in my opinion. Overall great place for a quick stay.

cobwebs
We cleaned the bathroom floor due to dust and spiderwebs in 3 corners.
Had to brush off fuse box and bench on porch with broom due to cobwebs and bugs. House smelled musty and moldy.
Couldn't turn on tv? Maybe batteries dead in remote?
Windows covered in cobwebs and bugs on exterior and blinds broken with no way to open and close them without running hands up and down and then again dust!
I will say beds were comfortable! I have never written a negative review and prob won't stay here again when in Asheville area.
The place is comfortable and it served us well as a home base. As others mentioned, the bbq place next door shuts down at 9. There was a band playing pretty loudly until then on Saturday night.
My child & I had a wonderful Thanksgiving trip here. We relaxed, cooked some great food, & enjoyed our time here. Everything was cleaned & wonderfully charming:D We will definitely return in the future!! The host was helpful & delightful to chat, thank you!!
Cute cottage. Very clean and well stocked with everything. Neighborhood is a bit industrial but it was quiet. We didn't get to try that restaurant next door but it smelled good. We enjoyed our stay overall even though one of the beds was not comfortable but we switched rooms and it much better the second night.
Very industrial area, but it was perfect! Very quiet at night and a quick uber ride to downtown Asheville. The place was very clean and well stocked. It did take us a minute to find one of the beds, but there's a twin size trundle bed in one of the rooms under the queen in case anyone else has that issue! Great property and we would definitely stay here again. Thanks for sharing your place with us!

Hi ! We are Gus and Jessica Mujica, your hosts. We've lived here for most of our lives and are so glad to call this place home. We spend as much time as possible exploring this area and are always amazed at the new discoveries that we make even living here all these years. We love to be outdoors enjoying the different scenes of Asheville. Whether it's catching a great musical act, walking around the lake, hiking to the views, camping with friends, partaking of the amazing food and beer choices, or looking for the hidden waterfalls, there is always something to do around here. Welcome to Asheville folks, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Let us know what we can do to make your stay at The Red Hen Cottage a great one !
Why they chose this property
In 2018 we joined efforts with local artist Brian Monteleone to purchase this little gem and it's surrounding property. We purchased this property with the intention of providing an alternative to folks wanting to come and visit our beautiful area and not stay in hotel. We love taking old properties and loving them back to life. This home is situated in a very unique location . It has that urban, industrial vibe , but it's cool and charming at the same time. We hope you enjoy the attention to detail, creativity, and love that went into this project.
What makes this property unique
This property's location was the biggest draw. This home is located right along the new up and coming river corridor in Woodfin, NC. The Semi-Industrial/Residential area was the perfect location for revitalization and convenience to all of Asheville's amenities.
