Honokeana Cove is in Napili, West Maui, just a quarter mile south of Napili Bay's sandy public beach. The gated property surrounds a secluded cove with a breathtaking view of the nearby island of Molokai from every unit. Experience Old Hawaii in one of these 38 low-rise units surrounded by luxurious tropical landscaping.

The peaceful cove offers some of the best snorkeling on Maui, with an abundance of coral formations, tropical fish, and green sea turtles. A sparkling heated swimming pool only steps from your condominium adds to the dreamlike atmosphere of this tropical paradise.

NEW TO VACATION CONDO RENTAL? If you're used to giant hotels with mile-long hallways, you'll find Honokeana Cove a refreshing change. You won't have hotel features like daily maid service, 24 hour desk, restaurant, gym or spa. Instead, you'll enjoy comfortable condos with full kitchen, bath and bedroom(s), perfect for couples, families and groups to relax together. We're not a "party" destination, because we keep quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am. There are just 38 units in this gated oceanfront property, featuring basking sea turtles and never ending sunsets. We can't wait to welcome you!

Enhanced Cleaning and Disinfection: All Honokeana Cove units are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before every guest. Housekeepers use EPA hospital-grade disinfectant sprays and cleaning agents with extra attention to all high-touch surfaces. All dishware including plates, bowls, glassware, coffee cups and silverware is washed at high temperature settings. All soft surfaces, including couches, occasional chairs and mattresses are sprayed with a disinfectant to assure cleanliness and safety. Linens and towels are washed with the highest heat temperature and additional drying time, to ensure proper sanitization.

Cancellations and Refunds: Bookings cancelled more than 45 days prior to check-in will receive refund of deposit less $50 cancellation fee. Less than 45 days prior to arrival date, cancellation forfeits the rental amount. However, if health or a personal issue causes you to cancel, contact the rental office. Guests are strongly encouraged to obtain trip insurance for protection from unforeseen circumstances.

Add one cleaning fee, damage waiver and Hawaii tax (17.962%) to all rates.

We’ve been staying at Honokeana for years. This was one of our favorite condos to date. Wonderful modern space with plenty of room to host dinners and cocktails with friends and extended family staying on the premise. Very clean and well appointed.

The turtles are amazing and it is one of the best snorkeling spots on the island. The unit 106 has 2 bedrooms and is perfectly located. Ground floor with direct access to the pool from the Lanai. It's also well shaded compared to other units that have direct sun most of the day. Wonderful breeze at night and not hot during the day (stayed in November). We loved everything, thank you.

Reviewer Comments: Our unit was perfect, we prefer bottom floor units, and had brought my 81 year old mom this trip that had never been to Hawaii, much less Maui. She loved the quaintness of the cove. We’ve been coming for over 25 years, so know what to expect, although the rain was more than usual for us, but we’ve never been in January, still enjoyed watching the turtles and sitting with the tiki torches! Only drawback which is why I gave 2 stars for cleanliness, several dishes and knife from the knife block were dirty! More detail to cleaning dishes could be considered!

That was taken care of as soon as we discussed it.We love this unit actually because it is familiar to us. It was nice to just go there with my husband and relax. The turtles are amazing in the cove. Sue is the best manager. It was a wonderful experience as usual. They probably need to replace the bed as it has a lot of dips in it. The view is amazing from this unit. The lanai is very spacious.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We chose Honokeana Cove condos because we wanted access for snorkeling in the cove. We stayed at another nearby condo complex twice before and could not find easy entry into the cove for snorkeling. Honokeana Cove condos solved that problem! We really enjoyed snorkeling with turtles and fish, and seeing the turtles up on the rocks sunbathing. The complex is clean and well maintained. Our 2 bedroom unit was smaller than many condos but perfectly adequate. It was clean. There is some noise as the units are close together, and the lanais don’t afford much privacy. That said, we plan to return and enjoy the beautiful cove that is right there.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed in room #106, view and location awesome. Main bathroom shower was great, water pressure in shower great. Cabinet drawer under sink needs to be fixed. Master bed fine, could have better pillows, plus maybe add a small TV. Only complaints, kitchen could use some Tupperware and plastic tumblers, bowls and cooking utensils, (we actually bought some plastic tumblers and left them in unit) not as well equipped as other units. We had a total of 4 units all but #106 had a couple Tommy Bahama chairs, foam noodles etc... plus lanai could use updated chairs and more hooks to hang towels. Cari in front office was great and so was property manager Ray. Every unit should have at least 2 Tommy Bahama Beach Chairs, and some foam noodles to float on all pretty inexpensive. Grounds were immaculate...Great Stay!

The snorkeling in the bay is good not great but every adventure presents lots of turtles. The entrance to the snorkeling area could definitely be improved with a ramp and some removal or rearrangements of some rocks at the entry point. Accommodations are very 1970's in feel as is all of Napili. Some may find this an asset. The way the facility is set up it feels a little like adult camp. It is an L building facing the cove, around a central lawn and pool which means all balconies face each other and the central area; thus balcony privacy does not exist. A shared barbecue area is in the middle which gets a lot of use during the evening. The condos themselves are worn and tired. The beds were soft and old and need to be updated. The furniture and décor are of the same 1970's vintage. The bathroom in the master bedroom is really small, almost boat like. A large person would have difficulty in this bathroom. The secondary bathroom has been updated and is much larger and nicer than the master. The appliances in the kitchen (microwave and dishwasher) are old and cheap. They could definitely use an update. Staff was great. They were friendly helpful and accommodating at all times. The lack of a sandy beach and privacy had positives and negatives. It was way less crowded than Napili or Kapalua, but it obviously lacked a beach. The walk to Napili beach was too long to carry much beach equipment and was aided by a car. The location necessitated having a car although bus transportation is widely available.

This condo has a great view and, like all the other units here, was a short walk to the pool and the cove. The snorkeling in the cove was as good as anywhere I've been on Maui. We saw lots of turtles and a variety of tropical fish. The unit was clean and well stocked but somewhat dated in appearance. I wouldn't hesitate to come back but would encourage the owners to invest a little in updating things.

We could see the ocean and pool perfectly from inside and sitting on the patio. This condo has an amazing amount of windows in living room which make it so tropical, bright and open! It’s a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo and it was perfect for my family of 4. The only downside was the busy noise of cars on the street and other guests coming and going through the gate located right next to master bedroom. Everything else was absolutely perfect. It’s still worth staying here even with the noise at night for the views and lay out of this corner unit!
