About this property

Lakefront house on beautiful Shell Lake, summer fun or winter wonderland.

4 bedroom lakefront home. Main floor has open concept kitchen with an eat-in great room along with two bedrooms each with a queen bed and a shared full bath. The basement (totally remodeled in 2021/2022) has a large recreation space along with two more rooms stocked with 5 single beds for the rest of the family. Full bathroom in basement was completely rehabbed in 2020

There's also an adjoining 2 story space (fully remodeled in 2024) with two additional bedrooms (one with a king bed and the other with a double bed and twin bunk beds) and full bath, kitchenette (frig, sink, and countertop convection oven/air fryer), and living space.

Great location for large families or multiple families with young kids.

Come relax by the lake. Enjoy beautiful sunrises over the lake from the 300+ sq ft. deck. Roast marshmallows and gaze at the stars around the fire pit.

House is close (200 yards) to ATV / snowmobile trails,

Shell Lake is a 2600 acre lake known for it's clean water, great fishing, and sandy beaches. All of the usual lake activities are available. There is a public landing in town so you can bring your boat along. We have a dock on our property.

We have 2 boats which are available to our renters at an additional cost. First is a 20-ft pontoon that can legally seat up to 10 people. It has a 25 hp 4-stroke Mercury motor that runs smooth and quiet. The pontoon was completely rehabbed in 2023! Works great for fishing or casual cruises around the lake. The 2nd is a 2000 Mariah Shabah 182 ski boat. Plenty of power, plus a ski tower makes it ideal for tubing and/or water skiing. Email the owner for additional details and costs.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Put all used linens and towels in pile by washing machine. Make sure all doors to the back deck/patio are locked.
Put the thermostat back to 78 cool or just leave off if the weather isn't too hot If you used the Grill, please clean it with wire brush
Sign our guest book. Leave all keys and garage door opener on the kitchen counter. Just press the lock button on the front door when leaving. Drive home safely!

We've stayed at this property before. The owner has done an excellent job of updating many things including; the kitchen and basement spaces, the pontoon boat has all new cushions and the beach firepit. Overall it's such a nice place to stay and that shore of Shell Lake is our favorite. We'll be back!

Great place!

There was plenty of space in the updated home for all of us to spread out. The location on the lake is fantastic, with a nice sandy beach, and it is within walking distance of downtown. It's a wonderful place to make family memories.

Tim and his family are fantastic hosts from beginning to end. The cabin location couldn't be better; so close to the water that you can hear both the waves lapping onto the sand and the loons who frequented near the dock. The home very comfortably housed my large family gathering so that everyone had their own space, yet consisted of a couple large common areas both in and outside the cabin for all to enjoy everyone's company. If available, look no further and reserve this wonderful lake cabin.

The 10 of us enjoyed our stay immensely!!! There was enough space for all of us without feeling crampedl, well laid out main kitchen, with a 2nd kitchen to put soft drinks and stuff. Also the was easy access to the beach and firepit. The only suggestion would be to add hand rails to the downstairs so older adults feel safer going downstairs.

Perfect for our Family

We have a blended family with a few kids, and this space was so perfect. So easy to spread out or be together. The location couldn't be better!! The house is well stocked, and great for kids with booster seats and some beach toys, etc. We can't wait to stay again!

Amazing Location and Nicely Remodeled

Although the weather didn’t cooperate with us during our stay, we sure enjoyed visiting and playing games with family inside the newly remodeled kitchen/dininig/living room. Looking forward to getting back again very soon! Thanks Tim!

Fun family getaway!

House was large enough for my family and my brother’s family to gather together but have separate areas to sleep/unwind. The beach by the house was perfect for young kids, the older kids loved the game room in the basement, fishing was great and it was walking distance to the public beach and downtown Shell Lake. The furniture was a little worn and outdated, but was clean and functional.

Family vacation

We had a great family vacation. Enough space for everyone.Comfortable beds.Good wifi. Great kitchens. Central location.Great water view.Wonderful new screened in porch. Weather didn't cooperate so our pontoon time was limited. Tim was a great host. He responded promptly with the few questions we had. We even are planning on returning for another family vacation.

Location on the lake is great!

House on Shell Lake near town with sandy bottom beach and walk out swimming. House is nice, lots of beds. Could use an upgrade of couches. Pontoon boat as an add-on to our rental was a big part of the fun!

Beautiful Beach

We once again had a wonderful stay. The cabin was very clean when we arrived. There is so much space for us all, and the basement game room and beautiful beach were perfect for the kids. We cannot wait to stay again

Large Clean well stocked House

Large, clean - very nice house. Only downside was that it was not a good option for bringing your own boat unless you want to remove it daily, because you really need a boat lift on that side of the lake. Would work great if you rent the owners boat.

Why they chose this property

Family friends owned this house while I grew up. House was originally purchased by my family in 1995 for my Grandparents. My mother also used the house as a summer home for 15+ years.

Have enjoyed many great summer vacations with my family and friends over the past 30 years at this house. Have many fond memories.
