Enchanted Valley View, Unit 2

We are nestled in the Finger Lakes region of New York State. Our fabulous hilltop location overlooking several lush valleys inspired our name. The Enchanted Valley View is a fully furnished guest residence with a fabulous panoramic view of the surrounding valleys. The master bedroom offers a rustic flavor with a queen size bed, flat screen TV and access to a full patio overlooking the valleys. The other bedroom is spacious with a full size bed and walk-in closet. The fully equipped kitchen has plenty of counter space, a glass top electric range, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, refrigerator and all necessary utensils. A set of french doors from the kitchen will lead you to the glass enclosed sun room that overlooks the valleys. There are patios on either side of the sun room ready for barbequing or simply relaxing in the fresh country air. The living room offers extra sleeping space with a queen size sofa bed. The large bathroom has a full size shower.

Enjoyed our stay in James' country home. Had a little concern before booking about the rural location, but all roads to the spacious home are paved, and it took fewer than 10 minutes to get to the center of Watkins Glen. If you like avoiding the town traffic, it's a great spot. All the amenities are there, including washer-dryer, which we used. Comfortable bed in the large bedroom (didn't need the other). James responded quickly to our questions about check-in and how to use the laundry room. There are a few things scattered about, but nothing that bothered us. The view is excellent. The sunroom is a great place to relax and check out that view. Fridge, microwave, wifi, TV all worked well. It's an older wood home with a few of the issues that come along with that, most notably some sticking doors, but nothing really to be concerned with. Overall, it's a great place to stay for four people looking for good value in Watkins Glen.

This property needs a thorough cleaning, decluttering, and complete overhaul. There was plenty of junk lying around outside and in the enclosed porch, along with weeds. There was leftover food in the fridge, freezer, cabinets and countertops. A half empty bottle of wine, an open package of teabags, and a jar filled with lysol were just a few of the items left in the kitchen. The upholstered furniture is very old, dusty and uncomfortable. There was also lots of noise from the upstairs unit. On the up side, the apartment is roomy and the view is very nice.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Enchanted Valley! The unit was exactly as pictured / described. In addition to the window a/c in the main bedroom, there were high powered fans in each of the rooms. We were very comfortable, even on the hottest days. It was a joy to cook in the enormous kitchen, which was well stocked with a variety of kitchen tools in addition to the typical pots / pans / dinnerware / utensils. With the Walmart so close, we were able to food prep for the rest of our trip. The washer / dryer worked as expected - one of the key features in choosing this listing at the midpoint of our extended vacation to the finger lakes. We loved the magnificent valley views and visits from deer. We hope to return during the fall to experience the leaves. The home was easy to find and access and was very convenient to Watkin's Glen State Park which was the highlight of our trip. James communicated well and was available if needed. Highly recommend!
