5 star service

I was very impressed with the service that BlueSky provided. Their staff is very attentive and helpful, they always made sure everything was in order for us. We had a plumbing issue and they had a plumber there ASAP. I will definitely book through BlueSky again and recommend them to everyone.

It certainly worked for us!

We loved High Trees. Comfortable, great location and two of the best hosts in Barbados. Thank you Cherrel and Deborah!

High Trees

We were disappointed that we were not informed of the hurricane damage which limited the view from the deck, as well as the use of the beach directly below. I was surprised that the concierge did not come by to see how we were doing, and if we were satisfied. The house, while comfortable and well laid out for four couples, shows benign neglect of certain maintenance items, aside from the significant hurricane damage to the deck. The house description says that one of the bedrooms has a queen bed, but that is incorrect as each bedroom has a king bed. It would be useful if there was an outdoor gas grill. The kitchen has useful appliances for ice making, beverage storage as well as food prep.

The house has a great outdoor living area and nice to have all bedrooms air conditioned. The staff was amazing and made the trip - they were available for all our needs. Our Chef had a gluten allergy so knew what one of our guests could and could not eat. She even helped us shop - made these amazing coconut fritters for breakfast we were fighting over. Our housekeeper was also fantastic as well. The house itself needs some much over do TLC. The pictures in the listing are not what you get. Pool deck needs to be repaired as there were some area you could fall through. The grass is not green and the sea wall looks to be hot by the storm. We did not expect a chain link fence keeping us from the ocean area. It could use a good coat of paint and many updates. The price for the picture you see online does not match what is there. As a matter of fact they should reduce price until updates are made.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re delighted to hear that our team, the Chef and the housekeeper helped make your stay enjoyable, and we’ll be sure to pass along your kind comments. We’re sorry that aspects of the property’s condition did not meet your expectations. The home is oceanfront and features a wooden pool deck, as shown in the listing photos. Due to the proximity to the sea it does require ongoing maintenance and further repairs are underway. The brown grass was also a reflection of Barbados’ dry season, and with recent rainfall, the gardens are now considerably greener. Following damage to the seawall and delays for repairs due to coastal approvals, a green fence was installed; however, the owner did improve the beach access and the beach amenity of the property is substantially improved in recent years. While we appreciate High Trees is more dated than other homes, it remains one of the best value vacation homes on the beach in the area. Pricing has also been further improved with the removal of the automatic inclusion of a cook to give our guests the option decide if to add this on or just enjoy some of the best value on the coast available. We appreciate your feedback and are continuing to invest in the property’s maintenance and improvements.
