About this property

DIGBY STUDIO and DIGBY LODGE (HA 7146914) (separate listings) - Nestled within Acadia National Park, you have direct access to Park trails, and Norumbega Mountain is directly across the reservoir (no swimming allowed). The trail around the pond is a leisurely thirty minute walk. The house faces west, and the sunsets are lovely.

Remodeled in 2000, this cottage has a living room, bathroom, and kitchen on the first floor. The second floor has the bedroom with a flat screen Smart TV, and a Bose surround sound with DVD/CD player. You are up in the trees-it's quiet and luxurious.

Amenities include good WiFi and a wireless printer. Cell service is excellent; there is a new tower a mile away. There are two parking spaces and a separate entrance off of Route 198.

There is an owner's cottage where Gabby and I stay, and "Digby Lodge" (Home Away listing HA 7146914)) that sleeps 5 in the front. We do not have any neighbors. This is seclusion at its best.

Finally, know that we wipe everything down with Clorox, and we have installed hand sanitizer dispensers. Also, should you desire a 24 hour time between cleaning and check-in, we will gladly accommodate you.

The Perfect Get Away

This place is magical! The outside is surrounded by Acadia National Park, so hiking is just steps from your door. The lake right outside offers stargazing, lazy hammock lounges, and canoeing. And the quiet seclusion was the perfect way to step away. Also only a 15 minute drive to Bar Harbor! It's not just the outside that's beautiful, so is the interior. The Digby Studio has a cute cottage feel, with the most beautiful red wood and windows. The bed was comfortable and the owner has AC units and/or space heaters for your comfort. Gabby was friendly and attentive to any of our needs. Would absolutely recommend and would stay again if we ever find ourselves in Maine. Thank you for sharing this home!

Wonderful Week!

My husband and I along with our dog Tucker were warmly greeted by our hosts (Gabby and Frank) when we arrived after a long drive. The cottage was more than we had thought it would be and had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The upstairs bedroom is great for relaxing after a long day of hiking and the kitchen was perfect for cooking our meals. There was also a very nice partially covered deck for eating and sitting outside to watch the sunsets and our hosts even set up with adirondack chairs at the boat house closer to the lake as well as the hammock - what a treat! The cottage is literally just steps away from the Hadlock pond trails and just across the road from the carriage roads and Acadia park! The town of NE Harbor is just down the road and you can even walk there following trails through the woods. Gabby and Frank made our stay very enjoyable and were there to answer any questions we had about the cottage and the area in general. It was a great vacation and we look forward to going back again!

Utterly magical. One of the most rewarding National Parks and this cottage is a 2minute bike ride from all the carriage trails and hikes you must see The pond is an ideal setting with morning mist, loons and if you are lucky eagle sightings. Perfect for an early am or evening paddle

Perfect Peace

What a delight to spend a few quiet days away from any hustle and bustle, but close enough when you want to get out. This charming cottage is perfect for a single/couple. Kitchen has everything you need, if you want to cook. And so happy that the knives were sharp (not always the case for us VRBO travelers). Comfortable and super well taken care of. Our host were responsive and respectful of our privacy.
