House and garden meets Country Calendar.

Fantastic combination of NZ history located on a farm that is being transformed by alternative land use and carbon sequestration. And stunningly beautiful.

Peace and quiet

We had a wonderful stay at the Whare, peaceful and quiet. It was just what we needed after a busy season. We were very well looked after by the wonderful hosts, Annie and Alastair.

Beautiful estate house

Coldstream is a unique property: a very large luxurious house in a quite remote corner of a huge estate farm. Annie and Alastair are extremely welcoming. The estate-made granola, bread and many other luxury treats provided upon arrival make this a really special place to stay. Very highly recommended--worth the little more it costs. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will return if we can.
