About this property

Haven In The Heights.... Steps Away From It All!!

Location, Location, Location!! Welcome to our delightful two bedroom one bath bungalow located literally just steps away from all of the fabulous restaurants and shops on N. Prospect in Peoria Heights. We are also located just 5 minutes from US Route 150 and Interstate 74 and 10 minutes from downtown Peoria. If you want to be in the center of it all, book your stay here!
We have created a home away from home for our family and friends and now extend it to you! Each bedroom features a full size bed with designer bedding. In addition to this, there is a queen sofa pullout in the living room if needed. Our kitchen has everything you would need for a short or extended stay including a washer/dryer, stove, refrigerator, and microwave. We also have a Keurig coffee machine with the assorted accoutrements needed for a fresh brewed cup of coffee or tea. During your stay you are welcome to sit outside on our lovely covered porch and relax and enjoy the ambience of the charming neighborhood. We have a convenient parking spot in our driveway, and there is also plenty of additional street parking.

History of Our Street: Duryea Avenue is named after Charles Duryea who engineered the first American gasoline powered automobile. The Duryea bothers won America’s first car race with their car in 1895. Soon after that in 1898, Charles Duryea incorporated Duryea Manufacturing Co. in Peoria Heights, and one of his early vehicles can be found on display at the Peoria Riverfront Museum in downtown Peoria.

We liked the convenience of how close restaurants were and really enjoyed Tower Park and the nature center to go hiking. I really liked just sitting on the front porch and having coffee in the morning.

This is the cutest little house in the perfect location! So many adorable shops and restaurant/bars within walking distance. Home is very clean and the beds are extremely comfortable. Communication with the host was clear and timely. Highly recommend!

Wonderful weekend getaway!

What a great place to meet up with a girlfriend for the weekend! We walked up to Prospect to lunch and then walked up there again later for dinner at Joe’s. So close even on a freezing cold February weekend! Highly recommend and we will definitely stay here again.

Great location

We enjoyed the location-all the restaurants and shops just up the street. The walk along Grandview Drive is not to be missed. Just a few blocks away! The house was cute and comfortable. Would stay here again. Thank you Ashley.

I had no idea what the area was like, I wish we were there longer. Very nice restaurants and shops all just steps away. The house was clean, and cozy and had everything that was needed. Perfect!

I love old houses: they are always so unique and special and this one was no exception. It was compact, clean, and comfortable. We really enjoyed our week long stay. All the basics and then some were there, the bedding and towels were excellent, and the spaces were well laid out. The beds were very easy to fall asleep in. (The footboards do limit size for taller people.) Ashley was great to work with and prompt answering questions. We will definitely stay here again.

Walkable and cozy

My friend and I enjoyed our getaway weekend together. We didn't drive our cars all weekend and loved the walkability of the shops, restaurants, trails, coffee shop, and bakery. The house was cozy and warm, and it seemed like a very safe area for two females. It was a fun and relaxing getaway! We'd stay here again.

Close to everything!

We enjoyed the proximity to the coffee shops, the local shopping and restaurants! The place was very neat and tidy, although small it is very nicely decorated. I would recommend this house to others. The only thing I would say needed to be improved upon is the sheer curtain over the front door didn’t provide much privacy so we put a sheet over it

The house is a block off Main Street but quiet. The Main Street has several fun and good restaurants. The house is dated but very clean and has basics of everything needed. Comfortable bed. Hot water. Good air conditioning and heat. Pleasant stay

Comfy getaway in the Heights

This is our 2nd time to rent this house and it was just as great as the first time. The house is very clean and stocked with anything you might need. It's within easy walking distance to great restaurants and a good location overall. Ashley is awesome to work with and always helpful. We would definitely rent this home again.

Great location, not in great shape, needs some maintenance and repairs, and a good cleaning inside and out. There is a lot of dust on the lights in the bathroom. The outside deck is a nice spot to relax and watch wildlife.

Quaint and quiet

Staying in the area for a business conference, Ashley’s little house gave me a place to stay away from the hubbub of a hotel. The house was clean and just as cute as the photos represent. Off street parking was nice, too. The best feature of the house though was the beds! So comfortable I didn’t want to get up! I highly recommend this property.

The Best!

Everything I wanted and more. I was in Peoria for my 55th high school reunion. This Beautiful Bungalow was walking distance to several excellent restaurants. And easy driving distance to all Reunion Events. The Host was very helpful and friendly. What could be better?
