Beautiful spot, but would not stay here again, nor would I recommend. We are outdoor people, raised in Wyoming, and have bunked at our fair share of ranch houses. We were not in any way expecting the Four Seasons, but this property needs some serious tending to and some way to COOL the house off in the evening. Our party could not sleep due to the heat, and you cannot open any windows. No shade for vehicles. Entering through the kitchen, no screen door to let a breeze in and numerous spider egg sacs are visible up and around the doorway. The one outside umbrella was not set up, we tried to open it, but seemed to be missing the pin to hold. Once inside, we had to hunt through a closet full of heaters and fans, and someone had left two half full cans of Coke in there. The kitchen table has a sticky film that you cannot clean off. A tablecloth available would be nice. Lots of literature available, but anything you put on the table, including your arms and elbows, sticks to the surface. We understand with the location and age of the home, there is a limit to how clean you can get. That said, a good cleaning crew, some stiff brushes, elbow grease, and a day or two to really clean would make this place shine! The 120.00 cleaning fee is way too high for this rustic property. None of the outside seatings areas were cleaned off, none were inviting to sit on. The raised platform is in full-on sun, so unusable most of the day in the 85 degree weather.
