Peaceful and private weekend on the beach

We had a wonderful weekend at Shore Joy! The house is beautiful, the kitchen well stocked (we cooked every meal), and the beach nearly private.

Shark Fishing Adventure!

My family along with two other families went to Dauphin Island to get away from our busy hectic lives and to go shark fishing. We stayed at Shore Joy. This property did not disappoint! The house was maybe 100 yards from the beach and was just across from the bay as well. If you are looking for a clean and gorgeous property that is stocked with everything you need away from the "tourist" hot spots this is your place. Very clean beaches that was not crowded at all and we were minutes away from several great restaurants, a golf course, and pickle ball court. We will definitely go back to DI and will be booking with "Shore Joy" again!

Beautiful ocean and bay view

We enjoyed the house. The views were beautiful The furniture was just very dirty and needs replacing and there was a little construction on the beach. The kitchen was stocked well enough for two people but if you had a large family you would need more Pyrex storage bowls etc.

Family-friendly beach access.

This is a beautiful house on a beautiful island. We would be happy to come back again. We didn't receive check-in instructions until we reached out to them the day of our arrival, and we had to pick up keys at their offices, but that was the only hiccup.

Between Hurricanes.

Arrived the day hurricane Sally restrictions were lifted. Had a mandatory evacuation issued 3 days later for hurricane Delta. Had a couple of sandy beds and wipe down misses when we arrived, but nothing major. The house is very nice with nice furnishings, beautiful Gulf front view, and a truly outstanding back deck. Would loved to have stayed for the full week. (may want to add some WD40 to the front door key hole)

Wonderful Stay

First time to Dauphin Island and it was amazing. Great location close to West End public beach (short bike ride) but pretty far bike ride to get to "town". The deck was amazing, ocean front view, and furnishings. House had everything we needed. Minor complaints would be rooms need blackout shades (super bright in AM), couch/chairs are getting pretty worn, and need instructions to get DVD player to work. Hot water heater needs to be turned hotter. Property mgmt co was meh. Fans outside didn't work because circuit breaker and they said they would send someone out but never did. Trash can cabinet was broken and not fixed.
