We booked this property for a quick anniversary getaway. It was perfect! My husband caught quite a few fish from the deck. The owners are very nice and the home had everything we needed! We will definitely be back!

The cabin was quiet and relaxing. I had my coffee on the dock each morning and it was beautiful. Owners go above and beyond to be very friendly and accommodating - fantastic people.

Nice Place

We had a great time at Cozy Cottage. This place was exactly as advertised, in excellent condition, and we especially enjoyed the deck right on the lake. Hope to stay there again sometime. We met the owners who were very friendly and helpful also

What a great place. Perfect for a small family that wants to vacation in Monticello. The place itself is very nice, but i especially like it's location right outside the edge of town, and right on the lake. Close to Indiana beach and anything you need in town, yet with a country feel to it - cornfields and meadows just North of the property. This was our second time here, and we really like the place.

The Cozy Cottage was a perfect place to stay for a short getaway to find some peace, quiet, and rest, which I needed very much. Everything was meticulously clean, well organized, and decorated tastefully. The hosts were so kind and helpful, making me feel very welcomed and safe since I was visiting on my own. I highly recommend this property.
The three seasons porch was my favorite place during my stay. So comfortable!
I woke before sunrise to a beautiful lake experience from the lovely dock/deck. So quiet and beautiful!

Lake Shafer cottage

Beautiful property! Owners were also staying near the cottage and were very nice. They allowed us to have a couple extra visitors. Would definitely stay again.

RELAXING GET-AWAY

We SO enjoyed our few days at Shafer Lake. Our little cottage was perfect and we rarely left the beautiful deck! Jane and Bob were fantastic hosts…friendly and helpful with all our questions. We hope to go back some time!

Fabulous Stay

Such a great time. Only 10 minutes from Indiana Beach. Loved having morning coffee on the deck every morning. Place was clean and so adorable. We will be back if coming to Indiana again.

Great Getaway

The owner contacted me beforehand with helpful information and a pleasant welcome. The cottage was nicely decorated, very clean and fully equipped. I especially loved the deck overlooking the water and the all seasons room. I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this property.

Peaceful Cottage

Cottage was clean with nice updates it was peaceful and quiet We just wanted to get a weekend away from our house and away from the city and this was perfect! It was also dog friendly. Our miniature schnauzer actually really enjoyed herself too, you could tell, and we definitely will be back!

Everything we wanted and more!

We absolutely loved the cottage! It was clean, well stocked with dishes, appliances, blankets, towels, etc. We loved sitting on the back porch and drinking our morning coffee. The deck was nice too! Definitely would stay here again!

We had a great time. Our daughter was disappointed that there were not bunk beds, but everything else was great.

Cozy Cottage girls weekend

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Cozy Cabin. Cabin was close to the wineries and to the Madam Carroll dinner boat cruise we went on. We enjoyed our day on the deck playing cards and catching some rays! Cabin is stocked with most everything you need.

Cozy is right

We booked "Cozy Cottage" for the 5 days over the 4th of July holiday. We had stayed here before and wanted to return. The accommodations were great, the view of the river fabulous and the deck actually sits on the river. 100% great.
