Positively charming couple's and families retreat less than 25 minutes from downtown Buffalo and 10 minutes from Sunset Bay Beach Club. Built in 1919 and partially remodeled. Enjoy the woods and views of Lake Erie cared for, for generations. The home has AC and appointed with modern luxuries (smart TVs, wifi) while capturing the charm of the early 1900's beach cottage. Eagles Nest on Lake Erie and surrounding grounds have been maintained for generations. From the owners family to yours they hope you enjoy the Secret Beach and the Bald Eagles that call the property home.

It is a true haven for sunsets, bird watching, bonfires, yard games and the beach!

Lake cottage

It was an amazing stay . The views are spectacular. Sunsets are beautiful and watching the eagles is incredible. The cottage has so much charm very clean and comfortable. Can’t wait to go back !

Cottage was well stocked,clean and pleasant.We enjoyed watching the jet skis and boats passing by.Firepit with provided wood was appreciated.A short jaunt down to the beach Overall a great stay.

Wonderful views

We enjoyed the lake views and the beautiful sunsets. Saw a lot of eagles and had great camp fires. Lots of outdoor room for family and friends to visit

Just lovely

Such a quiet place. No neighbors, just nature. Beautiful views of the lake. Quaint cottage, nice rooms and kitchen. Perfect screened in porch for rainy days.

Loved the porch! Spent each day at the beach and each night sharing a campfire. Plenty of access to necessities but cottage had the majority of items needed.

Rustic relaxing getaway

A small clean quaint and rustic lake house located in a beautiful lakeside setting. The sounds of Lake Erie , the breeze and privacy made for a relaxing getaway. My teenage boys enjoyed the 5 minute walk through the woods to their own little private beach like alcove by Lake Erie.

The location is amazing! It has a panoramic view of the lake and the sound of the waves crashing is so relaxing. The beach area is nice and somewhat isolated. It’s an older home but has everything you need for nice stay. My only concern is the bathtub: I would caution anyone with stability issues against using it. The beds were rather comfortable, which in a rental is always a nice surprise. The TV options were great, my adult boys were happy with the variety of channels. If you’re looking to escape the world and enjoy nature, I highly recommend.

Picturesque setting.

Our time here was great despite a number of obstacles that got in the way. The owners and management group were fabulous as we weaved our way through. In the end it was all worth it. Definitely a fantastic setting for a family vacation.

A slice of heaven

What a wonderful experience on this secluded property. Low key, tranquil and solace are words I would use to describe this stay and premises. We watched eagles fly by daily. The cottage size was perfect, the beds were spacious, the kitchen was retro yet completely functional. Getting to the beach on the nature trail was brief and simple. The private beach was clean and full natural beauty with the shale cliff sides with sand, pebbles and more shale along the shoreline.

Beautiful. The only problem was with shower/bath. It is very small and there was nothing to hold on to. It could be a real problem with anyone with a handicap.

Cozy rustic

Loved the Charm but for the more mobile vacationer

From 4 ladies in their 60's...Quaint, rustic country cottage with a screened front porch - a beautiful and peaceful view of Lake Erie punctuated by bald eagles flying overhead. Beach access is a 3 minute walk away and down a flight of stairs. Clawfoot tub with freestanding shower would benefit from safety bars/rails. A single lane gravel road eventually becomes a mud track - so it is best to arrive before dark.

Has the sights and sounds of the ocean!

Fabulous Lake Erie views complete with the sounds of the waves and a gorgeous private sandy beach with beach chairs, umbrellas, and kayaks!! The cottage is very comfortable with AC in one bedroom. Lovely lake breezes on the front screened porch. Large grounds with fire pit with some wood provided. Very private grounds with lots of chairs for guests. We had an excellent week!!
