In need of a Salty Pause? Enjoy a getaway at this affordable single-family with two bedrooms, one bath Tybee vacation cottage built in 1953. This charming home is located only three blocks from the beach,s located in a quiet residential neighborhood, and on a very bike-friendly street.

This Tybee cottage has all the amenities you need for a relaxing trip to the beach. The living area is furnished with a Queen sleeper sofa and has a 47-inch flat-screen TV and DVD. The dining table can seat up to 6, and you can enjoy outdoor dining with a picnic table on the patio. One of the modern touches included is a fully equipped kitchen, complete with granite countertops and a dishwasher, and a Keurig coffee maker. 2 bedrooms share the full bathroom. The first guest bedroom features a Queen bed and a 37-inch flat-screen TV. The second guest bedroom features a Bunk bed with a Double bed on the bottom, a Twin bed on the top, and a 24-inch flat-screen TV and DVD. The full bathroom has a stand-up shower.

Outside amenities include a furnished screened porch on the front of the home, a fenced backyard with a furnished patio with a gas grill, and an outdoor shower with hot and cold water. There is complimentary WIFI for your use. Parking for 2.

Amazing location, everything easy

Had a great stay at this quiet spot walkable to the beach. Everything was as described! Outdoor shower with hot water is the perfect touch for a beach stay. We had everything we needed here, would definitely stay again!

Perfect Family Vacation

This house was perfect for our family of four. It was clean and had everything we needed. We also loved how it was within easy walking distance to the beach and all of the restaurants.

We loved our stay at the Salty Pause! The location was an easy walk to the beach and to the restaurants and fun in town. We would definitely stay here again!

The experience was great, the house was perfect for us well equipped, clean and with all appliances in perfect condition. The only negative comment is regarding the barbacue wahich wasn't clean and ready for use.

Cute home close to the beach

We loved the proximity of the home to the beach, being able to walk there was fun! The home was cute and had all the essentials. The fenced, private backyard was fun to have with grill, picnic table with umbrella, and outside shower for after the beach. We would have loved to have some sort of clothesline to dry towels and swimsuits on at the end of a beach day, and the bed linens look like they have seen better days.

Location!

Perfect classic Tybee cottage! A very functional and small place to stay that checked all the boxes for us; clean, close to the beach, no stairs, plenty of seating, outdoor shower, laundry onsite. Our group was smaller than usual this time so we really loved only needing to tidy up this small space which gave us more time to do what we came for: books, food, and beach time!

Place was clean and as described. Walking distance to beach to restaurants and bars. Ran out of gas for grill and they had it replaced in under an hour. Great service.

The property was as described, though with several features which gave it an unwelcoming vibe. The main issue was an enormous sign on the front door, visible from the street starting with WARNING and describing how the property was not liable for anyone entering the property who would die or become injured/ill as a result of anything including COVID-19. The kitchen was tired, with low quality pots/pans and broken ice maker-water dispenser on the refrigerator. It was fine for 2 nights, but I would not have wanted to stay longer. The 6-minute walk to the beach was not quite accurate, especially for someone who walks slowly. The beach access includes a very long boardwalk over the dunes, which would be helpful to know about in advance.

Brief Visit

Arrived to attend my brother-in-law's wedding and spent 3days at the rental. Accommodations were as advertised with a short walk to the beach. Neighborhood was quiet, loved the fenced in back yard for the dog, furniture was comfortable, thought the queen size bed was a little to firm for us. Overall I would highly recommend Salty Paws for your next stay on Tybee Island.

Great house great location

This sweet little house had everything we needed. Just enough room for the 5 of us. Well stocked kitchen, very clean. Nicely updated bathroom. Easy walk to the beach, grocery store, shops and restaurants. Quiet neighborhood. The backyard was a great spot sit and relax. Would definitely rent Salty Paws again!

New Year Island Vacation

Perfect island getaway. Nice property. Walking distance to beach. Not a ton of extra space … just small and quaint. Exactly what we were looking for. We would definitely stay at Salty Paws again.

Great Little Getaway!

Nicely furnished little house with a full size kitchen. Its quite close to the beach, and its a reasonable walk to the Tybee Downtown area in front of the pier. We had a dog with us; so the backyard area was a nice spot for all of us to spend some time. The kitchen has everything you need to make some meals like we chose to do a few times. There's also a functional gas grill in the backyard. Only complaint is that the bed was a bit uncomfortable, but I slept just fine. All in all, its a great little getaway that serves as a superior alternative to any of the local hotels.

This was a beautifully done, sweet little cabin/house, in a great location. Quiet, family neighborhood. :) Clean, well laid out, beautifully stocked. We would definitely stay here again. :-)

There’s a reason...

I would have given this place a 5 star rating, except the bed in the master bedroom was simply horrible. The box springs were severely wobbly and the mattress had zero give. For the first time in my life I had back issues in the morning. I ended up using the hide a bed which was a significant improvement. I hate leaving a negative comment ...but unfortunately, the bed was horrible. On the plus side, everything else was good. Kitchen was well stocked, adequate room, super clean.

Sweet little cottage get away.

A lovely little cottage for my toddler, my pups, and myself. Very neat and clean. Has everything you need for a home away from home. Quiet area. Thermostat doesn’t go below 70F (but there is an oscillating fan) and the front door does not lock from the inside. It locks automatically when the door shuts and is accessed with a code from the outside. The lock is secure from the outside but the latch is easily opened from the inside by a two year old. The only place we ate from was Tybee Island Pizza and I can’t recommend. It was a lovely place for a weekend getaway!

Cute spot!

We had a great time in Tybee Island! The location was fabulous as it's a very short walk to the beach. We rented a golf cart and was able to use all the back roads to and from the house, as well as exploring the island. We had 2 adults and a 2 year old and the space was very adequate. Would stay again!

Loved it!

Perfect little beach house for 2 adults and 2 dogs. The place was absolutely spotless when we arrived. The location was wonderful. I just wish that the beaches were dog friendly, but it was easy to walk them around the neighborhood. The fenced-in backyard was a plus. We will definitely be back!
