About this property

Kiahuna Condo - So Close to the Beach and now with Air Conditioning!

Beautiful Kiahuna Plantation is located on world-renown Poipu Beach. Enjoy strolling through 35 acres of tropical paradise with gardens of graceful orchids and unusual cactus. The buildings are plantation style with louver shutters on the windows and ceiling fans circulating the ocean breeze throughout the condo.

Our condo, #167 located in Building 26, is a ground floor, end unit with partial ocean view and a semi-private lanai, less than a one-minute walk to the ocean! Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere while dining in or grill dinner on one of the two barbecues next to the lagoon just steps away. The beach hut, which supplies towels, chairs and snorkeling equipment to rent is also just a one minute walk from the condo. There are several golf courses and many restaurants within walking distance. Once booked, we will grant access to our info packet re the condo, Kiahuna and Kauai.

We are members of the Poipu Beach Athletic Club: (http://poipuclub.com/) .Our guests have full access to the club including the pool with slide, tennis courts and workout equipment at no extra charge!

We keep the condo up to date! Recent improvements include new lanai tile, shower, tile floor, bedroom carpet, and all new living and dining room furniture. Small appliances are changed out annually or as needed.

Kauai is a nature lovers dream! Spouting Horn is a natural phenomena just 2.5 miles away from Kiahuna Plantation. Enjoy a scenic drive up Waimea Canyon and take in the sweeping views of the Na Pali coast. There are many wonderful places to snorkel on the island, including right in front of the resort. Surfing, boogie boarding, and body surfing are also right there. Hiking trails are numerous on the island as well. The Heritage Trail is right in front of Kiahuna. Follow it north to the Hyatt where just beyond you can enjoy a peaceful walk over lithified dunes. It is also a great place to whale-watch December-April.

Guests at our Kiahuna Plantation condo have 24 hour care from the on-site management service. Come and relax in paradise!

Proximity to the beach was excellent. It’s a very short 3-5 minute walk. There are 4 beach chairs and boogie boards. Having towel cards for beach towels was fabulous and access to the poipu beach athletic club was perfect. We loved the pool with slide and drink/food service was nice. It was a bit cooler when we visited and really didn’t need the AC as the unit has lots of windows for airflow. The unit itself hasn’t been remodeled or updated as other units in the complex have. The pullout couch bed was fine for our child but if adults had wanted to sleep there it would have been uncomfortable. The king bed at first seemed soft but we slept just fine. There are cooking utensils and pots and pans but nothing else no oil, foil, salt& pepper as there has been at other properties we’ve rented. Plan to bring/buy all you need if you plan to cook. Overall loved the location but definitely not fancy.

Great communication, quick and easy to work with. The condo’s location was great, just a minute to the beach. Everything was in good working order. We enjoyed the lanai and the open lawn in front of it. The bed was super comfortable! AC worked perfectly, cooled down the space super fast. Parking was very close by and there was always a space available.

Such a great spot for our getaway to Kauai. We loved being so close to the beach so we could walk and enjoy our morning coffee listening to the waves. Being across the street from shopping and dining made it an easy to walk for anything needed.

This property itself is beautiful as well as the surrounding grounds! It is so close to the beach which is so convenient and a short walk there from the condo. We loved the beautiful coastal decor and the place was stocked with everything you need for the beach. We loved our stay here in Kauai and would definitely recommend to others and stay here again in the future!

Lovely and cozy apartment. We enjoyed our stay very much. Only thing that we didn’t like was the mandatory cleaning fee that came on top and was nowhere mentioned during the booking. And for that finding little plastic bags under the nightstand (most likely from earplugs) that fee is even more ridiculous. We missed Salt & Pepper. But other than that, the whole Kiahuna Plantation Compound is lovely, the beach is awesome.

Spring break with the kids

Had a great time. Location and how close it is to the beach hut, beach and Sheraton is ideal. Ground floor is convenient, though sprinklers are pretty loud early in the morning. Condo size is great for a family of four. Beach chairs are super convenient.

Why they chose this property

We love the vintage feel of Kiahuna, the sounds of the ocean that we hear from the condo, the privacy of the lanai, the smell of the tropical flowers and the amazing grounds and gardens. It is a peaceful, special place that our family has enjoyed coming to every year for almost 20 years.

What makes this property unique

The closeness to the beach! Early morning walks in either direction provide expansive views of the ocean as well as sea turtles swimming in the surf, dolphins and whales (seasonally). The preserved ancient sacred grounds add to the unique feel of this very special island.
