Family Time

Enjoyed our stay SO SO much. I didn’t even feel the need to leave it was so relaxing. The screened in porch was a favorite especially on a cool rainy day… perfect for watching the rain, and snuggling in with a good book.

The property is privately located but within a minimal distance of anything you need. The house is beautiful with a great view of Lake Michigan. We would definitely stay there again!

Great vacation

We loved staying at this house in Pentwater. The decks and beach were amazing. Beds were comfy. There was plenty of room to relax and spend time with family. Had everything we needed regarding things to cook with, laundry, etc. The only thing inconvenient was having to take the trash down the road.

Part of me wants to keep this place a secret, so I can go every year.We had a magical vacation. Didn't wear shoes for 7 days, long beach walks, enjoyed swimming and fires at night in the house.Had a few minor issues which the hosts fixed.The only thing I would ask is to oay a bit more attention to cleaning the house and the decks. Otherwise everything was excellent.

We found our favorite Lakeshore vacation rental…finally.

This home was beyond perfect for our stay. The view of lake MI was extraordinary from each of the 3 outdoor decks and the view of the woods from the 3 season porch is equally stunning. You can literally feel the love in the thoughtfully curated space and you know the owners want you to have fun and feel welcome. The kitchen has Everything, the beds are clean and comfortable, and the layout is perfect for a multi family or friends stay. It’s seriously the first place we’ve stayed that I didn’t want to leave. I literally felt like crying when it was time to go. Thank you for sharing your home with us. I hope we have an opportunity to return for another stay soon.

Loved staying at the beach house. Only problem was in listing it explained about how to work the cable because there were 4 remotes. After looking for the silver cable remote for hours, the next day I contacted the owner and found out that they had cancelled the cable. Besides that everything was excellent!

Lovely beachfront home!

The outstanding feature of this home is the number of decks, which make it possible to enjoy the views of the lake, the forest, in rain (very spacious screened in porch), or shine (to view the beautiful sunsets).The beach is one of the move beautiful I have seen--sugary sand; crystal clear sparkling blue water and miles to walk! The home is spacious, comfortable and well appointed. The only drawback for us (both elders) was the number of steps from the parking area up to the house. I am used to steps to the beach, but not for unloading all the necessities for the week! Be aware--or take the younguns' for hauling!

Great Lake View

House was very nice as well as neighborhood. Pros: - Enjoyed upstairs screened in porch for experiencing the outdoors without the rain or bugs. - Nice view of the lake - Very spacious interior to lounge - Kitchen was stocked well with utensils for easy food prep. Cons: - No response from our rental property representative when called with a problem we faced during our stay. - Driveway / bottom step of property stairs was not level and extremely hazardous - no warning signs posted of this by property owners. While listing does indicate there are stairs required to enter property, the uneven slope at the bottom is something that renters should be made aware of. - Only one TV in house and was located on second level. no TVs in any of the bedrooms.(It mostly rained during our stay so more than one TV would have been nice)

Property was great, location wonderful, owners very helpful via phone calls, but it was not cleaned well at all. There was a layer of dust, dishes left in dish washer, utensil slots in drawer was very dirty. bar of soap left in shower, needed sweeping, etc….

Pentwater September 2021

This was a beautiful place in a beautiful location overlooking Lake Michigan. One piece of information that might be helpful if you have mobility issues: Although the listing clearly says there are a LOT of stairs (which is true), I made the assumption that we would be parking at the same level as the house, which was not true. You park at the lake level and need to go up 45 steps to get to the house. I do have mobility issues but made it work by limiting the number of times I went up/down each day. The full bath and two bedrooms are on the main level so you can avoid stairs inside unless you want to watch the television or spend time on the screened-in porch (which is wonderful and, from my perspective, well worth the trip up the stairs to spend time). The front deck was also wonderful and provided a great view of the nightly sunsets, so no need to go down to the lake to watch if you prefer to not do the steps. The tv area has only one small-ish couch, which was fine for just my husband and I, but the owners might want to consider adding a couple other seating options up there. The kitchen is not huge but had everything we needed and plenty of space for us. We were there for only a few nights and didn't have any desire to spend a lot of our time cooking, so it was more than adequate. I would highly recommend this rental to others - it is beautiful and is not very near anyone else, which was exactly what we were looking for!

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and we wanted to share the following: - The owners leave a supply of basic cooking condiments and seasonings at the house as an accommodation to guests. They will talk with housekeeping to be more diligent about the condiments left in the fridge. - All used linens and towels are washed between each guest, but the owners will also pass along your feedback to housekeeping so they can look into and address the items for future guests. - The listing description states that the property includes 1.5 bathrooms, but we're sorry if this caught you off guard. Cozy fall get away
