This was our third stay at this beautiful lLake Michigan home, and once again it was absolutely wonderful.! The house is gorgeous, comfortable, and has everything you need for a relaxing getaway, The beach is simply breathtaking and we enjoyed every moment of our stay. We have made some special family memories here and look forward to making many more.

The house is even better in person than the pictures show. The owner has equipped the house with anything you could possibly need. Super clean and well maintained home, comfy beds, and plenty of seating. Kitchen had every tool, coffee grinder, hot water kettle, plenty of everything, just open a cabinet or drawer and what you need is there. The hill to the beach was a hike, but the young kids and older adults made it no problem. The view from the bench half way down was a perfect resting spot if you were winded from the hill climb. They have abundance of beach chairs, towels, life jackets for kids and toys, no need to bring any from home. The water was perfect, shallow and a great sand bar along the beach made kid’s safety perfect. The nature walks were amazing, even the drive up the meandering driveway, butterfly field, deer spotting, bald eagles flying over, the sound of the surf, cool breezes on the hilltop and sunsets from the amazing large living room windows. The spot was peaceful and secluded and a perfect relaxing week. Worth noting: the hot water heater can get super hot, so be careful with small children.

This was our second time renting this property and had absolutely another great experience. The privacy of the beach and amenities for the beach were utilized to the fullest. The location is perfect for enjoying the area’s attractions. Highly recommend this home.

We just had the most amazing vacation the week of July 18-25 2026. We stayed with out adult children and spouses and one grandchild. The sunset views are phenomenal every night. The beach is private, we never saw another person the whole week. The water was clear and beautiful (and cold) and the sand was perfection. The walk down to the beach is steep and getting back up to the cottage takes a decent amount of physical ability. We enjoyed the bench along the walking path for reading and having quiet moments. The cottage itself was very well appointed, having everything you could need for cooking full meals for the entire family. There were plenty of linens, toys, beach chairs,toys and more. The communication and notes around the home were so helpful to understand the nuances that all homes have. The main living area was large enough for the whole family to watch movies and hang out together in the evenings. Nature walks down the road were also enjoyed by our 4 year old grandson. Overall, it was incredible and we made many wonderful memories.

Perfect short holiday

We stayed here over Thanksgiving holiday and we’re able to host our family from both up north and south of the home in this central, beautiful, memorable location. The house is well equipped inviting, and in a very special spot on the lake.

Amazing location!

Our family enjoyed staying at this lovely home. Great location with private beach, amazing views and enjoyed seeing turkeys and deer everywhere on the property. House is very well set up and clean. I highly Recommend staying here! Well worth it! Will Definitely stay here again!

Our second stay

My 5 yeat old grandson spoke for all of us when he said, "I really like this giant house." This year we were able to enjoy the beautiful beach on the warmer days. On the cooler days we worked puzzles, watched the sunset, played with the kids, went on dune rides, visited the indoor water park, and enjoyed Lewis' Adventure Zoo. We had a wonderful vacation!

Wonderful experience!

We enjoyed our stay from start to finish! This is the most well stocked VRBO! The owners have taken the time to make sure everything you need is available. The back porch has the best spot for the most stunning sunsets. The kids loved all of the beautiful nature and beach surrounding the house! It is true Michigan!

Beautiful Beach House

The house is beautiful. Plenty of space for 3 generations to relax and recreate. The kitchen was well stocked. When we did venture away from the house, there was plenty to see and do, including trips to Ludington, lighthouses, Hart, and Holland.

Peaceful & Serene

We had a really great week of quality family time! The spacious house and private property make this the perfect family getaway. The internet was upgraded from our last visit so we had no issue’s working or streaming movies. The beach is spectacular and was our favorite place to gather.

Piece of Paradise

I cannot recommend enough this holiday home. The beauty of the architecture, the spaciousness, the quiet, location in nature, trees and beach, waves and birdsong, the thoughtfulness put into the fully equipped kitchen and tasteful harmonious interior decorations and more, all provided a place for us to rest, play, chat, cook, sleep in calm and beauty. Truly a piece of paradise where the soul can heal.

An incredible vacation

The members of our family range in age from 1 to 73. We were here for a week and we all loved everything about the experience - the house, the lake, the sandy beach, the paths of shallow water on the beach, and the thought put into stocking the house with essentials. Beautiful location right on the beach

We had an amazing stay at Paula’s property. She was very responsive to any questions we had. There was a massive storm and we lost power, but the generator kicked on and we didn’t even realize it! The house is wonderfully stocked and has everything you need. The location and private beach was the best part! The only downside is the upstairs bedrooms have large sloped windows so there is no way to create blackout blinds or cover the windows. Otherwise, this is the perfect property! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Anderson Family Vacation to Celebrate a 70th Birthday

I've stayed at this property previously. I was impressed then and continue to be impressed. This gorgeous home sits on top of a hill with massive windows that feels like a Tree House in the sky. We loved it. The house is clean and has everything one should need while staying there. The trail down to the beach may not be appropriate for older individuals but once on the beach....wow! We did not experience any inconveniences at all! It was an awesome week!

Mears beach house.

The house was spotless, well-equipped, and had everything we could possibly need. No matter where you were inside, the views were absolutely stunning—with expansive windows that showcased the landscape beautifully. I truly admired the thoughtful architecture and design that went into creating such a remarkable space.The beach itself was gorgeous and wonderfully quiet—we saw maybe 30 people total during our stay. All the essentials were provided down by the shore, including kayaks and life jackets, which added a nice touch.The only downside was the walk to the beach. It’s quite steep, and the footing near the bottom can be a little tricky. My 75-year-old mother was able to make the trip by taking her time, but it was a challenge for her and a workout for me .

Amazing property!

This beautiful lake home surpassed all our expectations. It was perfectly clean, and contained every amenity imaginable—including toddler dishes, toddler seat, toddler bed, beach chairs and loads of sand toys. So many things I brought from home, Paula already had in the kitchen (for example, a crock pot). Two refrigerators was perfect to be able to keep the drinks cold in the downstairs fridge. The cottage was perfect for us because two of our kids had little ones that needed naps. The blackout blinds in the downstairs bedrooms were perfect for that. Plus, the cottage was surprisingly soundproof. So the babies didn't hear us upstairs when they were sleeping. Another positive: the dining room table was long enough to seat all of us together. If the family is getting together for a vacation, we want to be able to eat together! So, this was a wonderful plus. And all of these things were on top of the amazing view and gorgeous windows. I highly recommend this rental! We had a minor hiccup when we first arrived in that the lock box was stuck, so we couldn't get the key out. But Paula was on the phone with me within a minute, and solved the problem.
