About this property

This cute little house is located 1 block from the Ohio river in the historical town of Petersburg, Ky. It is the most popular area for people to stay when visiting the Creation Museum, Ark Encounter and Perfect North Slopes. Anyone is welcome at the Holly House and at the time we are allowing 8 people to stay at a time. Everything is brand new and we spared no expense on your sleeping comfort. The garage has a game room for added fun. There is a fully stocked kitchen for longer stays and laundry facilities. If you have a boat, bring it, the launch is 1 block away. We allow pets for a nightly fee. The game room is a shared space with our other house, the River Cottage. Rent both for larger groups! If you're bringing a pup, they feel like kings when they go through the doggie door into the fenced yard.

Cute house to relax and enjoy!

This was our second stay at Hollie House and we just love it! The fenced in yard for our dogs is awesome. And this time they were able to use the doggie door that was fun for them! I'm sure we will be back again in the future. Thanks for sharing your place.

Ohio River Village

Really enjoyed our stay at Holly House as we visited The ark and Creatation Museum. The house was well stocked and very clean. The town was a walkable history lesson and very quiet. Enjoyed being one block from the Ohio River and watching the barges go by.

Weekend Review

Communication, cleanliness was great. We love that it is dog friendly. It was the perfect place for our little weekned get away. Lawrenceburg is an adorable little town with some winderful restraunts. It was a little further from Perfect North Slopes then VRBO listed, however that is not the owners fault. The roads coming to and from the rental are quite windy/ narrow roads but is was no problem, just unexpected. We had a nice weekend and I would definately return for our ski trip next year.

Great Stay

We arrived and had a bit of trouble retrieving the key from the key lock. I appears to be sprung, getting the key was a chore as was opening the lock to replace the key upon departure. Also the coffee pot did not work. It turns on but barely drips through and clogs. Everything else was tip top!

I think I found the silliest picture in my phone. It describes me the best because of my artistic abilities and my silly side, either of which can take over in a hot minute. My friend, and previous colleague Gabe, and I purchased this house together as an investment property. Over time, I've come to realize how this adventure has kept us united even though we are thousands of miles apart. We are both artists by trade, and our commonalities in entrepreneurship brought us to investing together.
My husband David has a big role in helping us with maintenance and general things. As I will always be an artist, do commission pieces, sell on line from time to time, this is my semi retirement job that has allowed me to become a part of a new picture, the beautiful landscape of individuals and families we have come to host and provide a comfortable and safe place to call home.
