Solitaire 1 is a spacious two bedroom apartment in central Sawtell, approximately 200 metres to the stunning Sawtell Beach. Holiday in comfort on the warm Sawtell Summer nights, Solitaire 1 has both air conditioning and ceiling fans in the main living area, ceiling fans in both bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher.

A BBQ is also provided for your convenience and the internal laundry features with both a washing machine and clothes dryer. Completely ground level, this apartment is renowned for its top location - leave the car at home and walk to everything! Patrolled beaches, boutique shopping, gourmet restaurants, RSL club, golf course, bowling club are all just a short and level walk away.

Solitaire 1 comfortably sleeps up to 4 guests:
Main Bedroom: Queen bed, ceiling fan, walk in robe and ensuite with spa bath
Second Bedroom: 2 x single beds and ceiling fan

Linen and bath towels are provided, feel free to bring your own beach towels. No smoking, and pets are not permitted. There is secure undercover parking located below the Solitaire complex - single car space. Please refer to our full terms and conditions prior to booking.

Sawtell great coastal village and great locals.

Sawtell offers that laid back coastal village atmosphere with great locals, it has everything we look for when holidaying and it's only 10 mns to the bigger Coffs Harbour. Seamless booking and entry to apartment.

Just 2-5 min walk to everything that Sawtell offers. Only downside is the poorly furnished lounge area; a comfortable couch or two would be great. As would an updated TV (stopped working the last couple of days of our stay). Also, wifi would be a great addition.

This is an old, tired, and dusty place that hasn’t had any maintenance in many many years. The window coverings are old (dusty & horrible) and one of the blinds in the main bedroom was completely missing which provided full view from the street and all night flood lights shining in from the RSL car park. The washing machine drum sounded like it would lift off, the dishwasher came up with a fault and there is no good lighting in any room. There are little nagging signs posted all over the apartment which make you feel like you’re doing something wrong and that you are just about to incur extra cleaning fees. This apartment is below standard, even for the price, and had a horrible, non-relaxed vibe to it. Sawtell is wonderful but this apartment came no where reaching expectations for somewhere easy, coastal and comfortable. (If you are going to stay here - bring toilet paper because they don’t offer to provide enough paper for the entirely of your stay)

The unit was much larger than expected and the proximity to the beach, town and other amenities and attractions was unbeatable. The property had everything we could possibly need for our stay and we really enjoyed sitting on the private and peaceful balcony at the end of each day. We were also glad we chose Sawtell and this property for our stay as we found it super convenient base from which to make day trips to other nearby attractions such a Red Rock Beach, the Yarrawarra Aboriginal Cultural Centre at Corindi Beach, Belligen township and Dorrigo National Park. I highly recommend this property and Sawtell.

Coffee, fish and chips, the best Indian restaurant on the coast and the best movie theatre. We loved our time walking on the beach and leaving the car in the secure car park for the 5 days. Washing machine and dryer made it so convenient and we loved that we could go from the back verandah straight to our car. The location is superb. A very short walk to the beach and the main street with all of it's great restaurants. The decor could definitely do with updating, but the price was right.

Reviewer Comments: The apartment is spacious, the beds are comfy and in a great central location.A mere 1 minute stroll to the beach and all the main shopping strip This is almost enough to warrant a return visit,however the apartment is need of some TLC and an update to bring it up to the standard of other rentals in the area. Of greatest concern is the mould in the blinds in all rooms, if these where replaced you could overlook the fact you can see other areas of the ceiling where mould has been treated. The kitchen cupboards need attention are ae not very inviting to use what is stored in there.The towels where awful quality and had stains, thankfully we had our own towels with us if that hadn't been the case I am sure McGarths would have had them replaced as they offer exceptional service.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Booked Solitaire 1 on the website despite some poor reviews and photos of very dated decor, as it was so close to the beach and town. VERY pleasantly surprised on our arrival to find a number of improvements including new carpet, appliances including television, bed linen,new lounge and blinds which looked great.The apartment still has some older furniture of good quality which we found pleasantly quirky and coupled with lots of paintings and homewares, created a comfortable ambience often missing from holiday units. It was roomy, airy and light with a great aspect from the long verandah. These apartments are beautifully kept with lovely gardens and lawns surrounding each unit. The absence of WIFI however is a definite minus as I couldn't find a coffee shop in town which provided it either so that was a nuisance. We will most certainly be back in the future. Very polite and helpful agents made check in a breeze. We had a great holiday and loved the quiet and comfort of Solitaire 1.

'Magical '

Spotlessly clean , magical ambiance , so quite , close too everything , shops ,cafes,theater ,beach ,RSL etc. The only thing missing was a better lounge seating ,single chairs ok, but definitely needs a 4 seater couch for relaxation when watching television at night , Thank you for a great stay hope too return again .
