Some places are just a place to stay. Jim's little house on the bay feels like coming home. This was our second 4th of July stay here, the first being three years ago. Our kids loved it so much they talked about it for years, so this year I booked nearly a year in advance. It was absolutely worth the wait.Jim is one of the kindest hosts we've ever had. He personally called to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. As a Veteran, Independence Day means a lot to me, and the genuine care he showed our family made our stay even more special. The house was spotless, comfortable, and felt warm and inviting. The beds were comfortable, the water pressure was great, and the kitchen had everything we needed, including plenty of pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and a great BBQ grill. There was plenty of parking, including room for our boat, which we kept tied up safely right in front of the house. There's also a nearby private boat ramp across from 3003 Whichard's Beach Rd. with truck and trailer parking for only 5. Our kids spent hours fishing, catching crabs, swimming, tubing, and playing off the dock while we relaxed in the breeze. The neighbors were incredibly friendly, and you could tell how much they care about Jim. The living area is upstairs, so keep that in mind if stairs are difficult for anyone in your group. Thank you, Jim, for sharing your little piece of paradise. We made another lifetime of memories and can't wait to come back!
