We love staying in your cottages. They are so close to all the places we visit. You guys are just a text away for any questions we need answers to. Thanks again for another great Finger Lakes visit.
Good stay and location worked well for us. Liked the log cabin and the area around it. Coordinating with the owner and getting door open was a bit clunky but otherwise it was a nice stay.
This was our third stay. We’re never disappointed. The cabin is always spotless and feels like a home away from home. Cheryl and Jim are wonderful hosts! We can’t wait to come back again. :)
We came here for our annual father son fishing trip. Loved the cabin - the cleanliness, layout and necessities without being too cluttered. Spot down by the water is well worth the walk!
This was our third time staying at this property and we enjoyed it just as much as the other times we’ve stayed here. We met one of the property owners. He was very helpful with questions we had. We let him know this was our anniversary and we always come here for our anniversary weekend. After a day of being out and about, we came back to a bottle of wine left for us, with note wishing us happy anniversary! We’ve already booked our stay for next year! Clean, pet-friendly, conveniently located. We love this place!
Jim and Cheryl were fantastic hosts and the communication was great! The cabin was beautiful, complete with all the amenities. There was plenty of brochures with things to do and places to see. The property and views were wonderful. We had a relaxing & enjoyable visit. We brought our two dogs; they loved it! We look forward to coming back! Thank you for such a great experience. We loved having you stay, you guys and your dogs were 5-star plus guests! I saw your dogs, but you left the cabin in such immaculate condition, not a speck of dog hair in sight, it's hard to believe you actually had your dogs with you! We welcome you all back anytime!
This is a convenient place to stay if you are visiting the Cayuga Lake area, especially the wine trail. Be aware that their policy is to provide only one towel per person. If you are going to swim, definitely bring towels, as you are not supposed to take them off the property.

Hi Sandy - thank you for taking the time to write a review. we loved having you stay. I did want to clarify about the towel situation. One towel per person is not correct. We provide 6 sets of towels (a set includes a bath towel, hand towel and washcloth) in Cabin C as the occupancy of that cabin is up to 6 guests. We also inform guests that we don't provide daily linen service. So that guests can be prepared when they pack, in the pre-arrival letter each guest receives we do ask that bath towels not be removed from the cabin and that guests need to bring their own beach towels. Thank you for staying at Cayuga Lake Cabins and we are looking forward to seeing you again next year! Kind regards, Cheryl
From arrival to leaving the property was very well-maintained. Everything was provided very clean and the host was very friendly and always at hand if needed during our stay! We would definitely stay there again. We would only hope that it wouldn’t rain next time.
We loved our weekend getaway. We will be back for another stay.
The cabin was very clean and Cheryl was very friendly during our check in.

About the host
Hosted by Cheryl Santos
My husband Jim and I moved to Cayuga Lake in 2002 - he from Pine City NY and me from Hawaii. We both are naturally drawn to water, so Cayuga Lake was our chosen place. My husband has 3 grown children and he retired in 2012. Now our children are of the four-legged sort (we have friendly tale-wagging dogs and we invite you to bring your dogs along). We live directly across the street from the cabin and we are always available if you need anything. We take great pride in providing a clean, comfortable vacation property, and it is important to us that you have a wonderful vacation experience. We want to ensure that you’ll make memories here that will stay with you for a lifetime.
Why they chose this property
We chose Cayuga Lake for its natural beauty, the variety of things to see and do in close proximity, yet also the tranquility of country living. We envisioned building a cabin here so we could share this unique area with others, providing a comfortable retreat for our guests. We designed and built the cabin as a contemporary modern space yet with rustic charm.
What makes this property unique
Situated in a sunny field adjoining the woods, this log cabin is a tranquil retreat. It is very spacious for 2 – 6 people with an open floor plan, cathedral ceilings, and 2 private bedrooms. It is impeccably clean and is well equipped with most necessary items. A walking trail across the street gives you access to Cayuga Lake. The cabin is centrally located on the Cayuga Wine Trail. Nearby are hiking trails, biking paths, and quaint shops. The cabin rental costs less per person than many hotels, plus you have your own private space. The radiant floor heating warms the cabin to a cozy temperature on cool nights. It is also air conditioned for your comfort in summer months.
