Ideally situated in North Pacific Beach, The Loring Beach House is just a few short blocks to the famous surfing Mecca of Tourmaline Beach and the wide open sands of Law Street beach--excellent for sunbathing, swimming and boogie boarding. We are also only a quick stroll from excellent local neighborhood restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores and nightlife.
Bike or take an electric scooter in minutes to all of the popular nearby spots: Garnet Avenue (the main street in Pacific Beach), La Jolla, Mission Beach, Mission Bay, and the Boardwalk.
Our spacious, well-stocked kitchen has seating for 8, lots of wood cabinetry, newer stainless steel appliances and a large center island. The living room and two of the bedrooms have newer flat-screen UHD TVs, cable w/DVR.
Great for family gatherings, The Loring Beach House has a spacious, private, gated brick patio in the back with gas fireplace, Weber Gas BBQ, a Marquis hot tub that seats 6, a new glass dining table with umbrella that seats 8, and plenty of additional seating for everyone.
The front of the house has an inviting grassy yard and a new large Trex(TM) deck with plenty of space for chairs. Two tandem parking spots are available in the driveway next to the house.

While The Loring Beach House can accommodate up to ten (10) people comfortably, we find that 8 guests is optimal and have our home set up accordingly. Additional charges may be charged for more than 8 guests and must be approved in advance.
***HOUSE RULES***
- PRIMARY RENTER must be at least 25 years of age and government issued ID may be required by owner prior to check-in). Parties of eight (8) or more may be required to make an additional security deposit of $500 (for a total of $1,000) prior to check-in to cover potential damages, unless otherwise waived.
- GOOD NEIGHBOR POLICY: The Loring Beach House is a separate house with a private, enclosed patio, but is part of a complex with three total units on the property. Our on-site property manager and other long-term tenants live year-round in the two back units. Guests will have the run of the house, but must respect our Good Neighbor Policy as our neighbors are family and friends. The City of San Diego also requires this policy: Quiet hours are Sun-Thurs: 10pm to 7am; Fri, Sat and federal holidays: 11pm to 8am. We expect our guests to treat our home and our neighbors as they would treat their own. Guests are required to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, as a term of our license with the City of San Diego. Violations of City Ordinances could result in fines to the guest and to the host of up to $1,000 per violation per day. Violations of any rule or policy may result in penalties and charges, up to and including asking the guest(s) to leave early without refund.
- ABSOLUTELY NO smoking, vaping or drugs on or around property
- Guests with PRE-APPROVED pets are requested to walk them curbside to do their business; pets are NOT allowed to do their business in the house, on the patio, front-deck, or on the lawn. If they do, additional fees may be charged.
- Sorry, PARTIES ARE NOT ALLOWED. PRE-APPROVED gatherings of a limited number of people that adhere to the GOOD NEIGHBOR Policy and applicable laws and regulations are allowed ONLY with advance, written approval by the Host.
- ADDITIONAL CHARGES: $500 security deposit or hold on credit card required where allowed; additional $500 security deposit for parties of eight (8) or more may also be required; $250 cleaning fee, and an additional cleaning charge may be applied for reservations longer than 7 nights and for larger parties; $50/night/guest for more than 8 for additional wear-and-tear and cleaning; $75 charge per pet for pre-approved, house trained and well-behaved pets.
- REFUND POLICY: Refunds are provided according to the stated policy when reservation is booked. Guests, particularly those making longer reservations, are encouraged to obtain travel insurance as we are unable to accommodate refunds for last minute cancellations, even with good reasons.
- INSTANT BOOK RESERVATIONS BY GUESTS WITH NO OR NEGATIVE REVIEWS CAN BE CANCELED WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE.
- Pre-approval, credit check and written lease may be required for reservations longer than 28 nights or shorter than 3 nights

Please note: Due to the cooler coastal climate of Pacific Beach, our home has NO Central A/C (as is the case with most older homes in this area). However, we do have a portable A/C unit and there are ceiling fans in 3 rooms, as well as 2 portable pedestal fans for your use on the few days in the year it gets warmer.
NOTE: The Loring Beach House is equipped with a security system that includes two cameras: a doorbell camera, and one that is directed at the back door of the home. The cameras are positioned to capture suspicious activity, but do also capture guest activity within the range of the camera. Recordings will only be stopped on express, written approval from the Host.
