Hello and welcome to our lovely, colorful condo!

Our peaceful and inviting nautical condominium is perfect for an amazing bay and beach vacation. With a great location on the surreal Emerald Coast, a 700 foot Lazy River, you are sure to come back year after year. This unit is a ground floor unit/lanai where guests can sun or step outside the gate into the lazy river with a gorgeous bay side backdrop. The waterfall pool, gradual entry pool and two large hot tubs provide a variety of activities for water lovers. The patio/sunning decks in this water area provide both shade and sun for people of all ages. Large lounge chairs, tables & chairs, umbrellas are provided for your leisurely days spent by the lazy river. Grills w/ tables are provided in the green areas behind the lazy river. There is also a walkway for strolling alongside the bay and marina. Free beach service is provided when you go to the ocean. A toddler pool, hot tub, and Destin West's largest pool and exercise facility are the additional amenities found on the beach side. You can easily access the beach side by walking the sky bridge from bay to beach, or you can drive to the round-about in front of Destin West Beach Side, unload your family and beach equipment, park your car in the shaded parking deck and walk from there to the beach.

LOCATION:
Our condominium is centrally located between Destin and Fort Walton Beach on Okaloosa Island. We are five miles from Destin and one mile from Fort Walton Beach. You are in the middle of two of the best vacation cities in America. Not only do you have four miles of undeveloped land on one side (free of mass crowds of people), but on the other side you have access to the Gulfarium, beach side restaurants and shops, fishing, water-sports, and more. Take your pick! Either side has the vacation you have been waiting for.

Not only is our location perfect and our condominium's sunny, but the view is unforgettable. Imagine an oasis of palm trees with cool, turquoise water running like ribbon (the lazy river) around gorgeous tropical landscaping. Lounge on our large porch and overlook sailboats floating by on the inner coastal waterway while watching the kids float by on the lazy river.

BAYSIDE POOLS:
Close your eyes on our private patio and listen to the waterfall hit the water in the additional heated pool and you will think you are in a tropical paradise.,,,,or enjoy the 5000 sq.foot pool, gym, and super large pool at Destin West across the street. We also have internet access for those of you who need to connect for business. With so many features, how could you pass this up?

Overall great little condo. Wish that the hallway bunk room had a door. We ended up buying a tension rod and blackout curtains to help with light control and noise. Outdoor porch was a wonderful space for meals. LOVED that we could see the Boardwalk fireworks from the master balcony.

Beautiful condo and resort

This condo was beautiful and clean. It was actually much larger than I expected and it was so nice to have that second bathroom since there were six of us. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware and there were plenty of towels. The washer and dryer were great to have also. Just a forewarning for those with mobility issues - the king size bed in the master bedroom is tall/high. You definitely have to climb up in it. This wasn’t a problem for us but I can see where it would be an issue for some. The resort was so nice and picturesque. Sadly the beach was only open on our arrival and departure days so we only got a couple hours of water play on the beachside. All other days were double red flags. Thankfully, my kids didn’t mind playing in the bay, the resort lazy river, and pool. My husband and son also enjoyed fishing from the dock. They caught a few but most broke their line (and even a pole) and got away but put up a nice fight. I’m so glad we chose this resort. Having access to the bay for swimming and fishing really saved our trip due to the water on the beachside being closed. We would definitely stay here again!

Everything and MORE!

Everything from arrival to departure was simply, amazing. Everything is exactly as described in the listing. My family had a wonderful time staying here. It was myself, my husband, and our four children agas 9, 10, 12, and 15. Everything was spotless, and labeled (if needed), and the convenience of being so close to the entrance of the pool, hot tubs, and lazy river was great! A bonus was the pull cart for the beach that we utilized when walking across the bridge over to the gulf side of the property. Meredith's communication was amazing (and almost immediate) when reaching out to her, and I look forward to booking through them again!

Perfect for families with kids!

The condo was clean and had everything we needed. The location to the lazy river and pool area was the best! Having the beach wagon available was a huge plus! We don't go to the beach enough to have something like that but it was needed to carry all of our stuff to the beach. Having the walk over to the other side of the street was great! We were also able to walk to restaurants on the beach, which was a huge plus! I don't love the traffic of this area, but once you are at Destin West, you don't even have to deal with traffic! We would stay here again.

Just as I remembered....

I was one of the original rental agents at this resort. It's grown up since I was there 15 years ago but hasn't lost its charm. The unit itself is very comfortable, well-appointed, and has a great view. The master bed is high which is great for tall people like me! I love the lanai level and easy access. We had one minor issue on the first day of our stay which was fixed quickly. The owners are responsive and helpful. Book this condo!

Perfect for what we wanted

This unit is clean and well taken care of, perfect location. Super quick easy access to the lazy river and the beach. Very quiet and calm. We met some great people and made new friends. I was on a girls trip this time but look forward to coming back and bringing the grandkids.

Amazing property manager and great property!

This unit was perfect for our family of 5! A private bedroom and bath for my wife and I, bunk beds for my girls and the sofa bed for my son! Also has a 2nd full bathroom! The property manager Meredith is unbelievable! Provided us with so much valuable information and made the entire trip great for us. We had one small issue and she had the maintenance team there within minutes! 5 stars all the way!

Good location, nice place!

We had a great vacation at the property! The best part is the location next to the large pool area and lazy river, very convenient with kids. It is a pretty easy walk to the beachside but does require some effort. The condo was clean, had lots of amenities, and just as expected from pictures. Note the bunk room does not have a door, which we knew. Adding a gas grill outside would improve this whole experience even more. The included wagon was nice. Definitely recommend staying here.

The pictures accurately reflect the condo and it was super clean. The condo is well equipped with all supplies needed. The lazy river, pools and workout room were all well maintained. We loved the location- easily accessible to the beach, restaurants, etc. Also, very pleased with the property manager, who was great about responding to any inquiries.

30th Birthday Getaway

My boyfriend and I came down to Destin for my 30th birthday. We were thrilled with the accommodations and everything this VRBO had to offer! The condo is very clean and exceeded our expectations. We loved the atmosphere, the lazy river, and the quick walk to an absolutely gorgeous beach! We’ve never seen a more beautiful beach and such clear water! Our favorite part was the complementary beach umbrella and two beach chairs. We would definitely come back again! Meredith was extremely helpful and Informative. She gave us many tips, and the entire process went very smoothly. You won’t be sorry if you book this VRBO!

Everything was perfect! 2nd time at this condo! Loved the easy access to pool and beach. Wagon was very helpful extra. Kitchen had it all and place is perfect size. Guess only thing I would change is to have AC little less than 68 at night just bc I get hot flashes bc of medicinal induced menopause :/ but we will still b back next year!

My name is Meredith Tumlin and I've been a property manager for 8 years, working with my daughter, Shelley, who started Shelley's Vacations 19 years ago. We love the Emerald Coast, the gorgeous white beaches, the lush Florida landscape and sunny weather. The great seafood restaurants, the small "dives" that serve great seafood sandwiches with grits or fries, the signature drinks, the key lime pie, the breezes, sunsets and walks you enjoy with family and friends....these are special memory makers we know you'll treasure.

We've spent 38 years in FL and love living here. Both of our daughters and son-in-law were raised in Pensacola. We're so happy they and our grandchildren call Florida their home. WELCOME to a great place to vacation and to live!!

The condo community as guests vacation is friendly as people gather to enjoy all the wonderful amenities for every age AND they're surrounded by palm trees, topical landscaping and a gorgeous bay view! Owners decorated it in sunny primary colors with lovely, comfortable furniture, sailboat pictures, and whimsical beach vibe decor yet with classic tastes. The condo is kept extremely clean and updated. The patio has 2 functional levels for outdoor dining and sunning. The bedding and furniture make for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is fully appointed with stainless appliances, cookware and dishes. The lazy river is right outside the patio gate....or you can take a stroll around the pools and lazy river to enjoy the green, the bay and the marina. You get it all with this condo!The owners of this property are people who believe in helping guests like you have a great vacation! They provide, at no cost to you, free beach service which means each day you have 2 canvas beach chairs and an umbrella set up for you daily at the beach. They also provide beach towels and a beach wagon for transporting all your beach gear to the pools and/or beaches. This condo is in a convenient location for bay and beach activities.
