🐾 Dog-Friendly Details
We love welcoming well-behaved dogs to the mountains! To ensure a seamless stay and cover the extra maintenance and deep cleaning required between stays, please note our pet policy:
Pet Fee: $100 per night pet fee. Additional dogs require prior approval. Please include the number and size of your dogs in your reservation request.
Unfenced Yard & Leash Policy: Unlike a fully fenced lot, this side of the property features an open area near the highway buffer. Dogs must be kept on a leash or under strict, reliable voice control at all times when outdoors.
Neighborhood Courtesy: To protect the experience for guests sharing the duplex, dogs may not be left alone in the duplex.
Clean-Up Required: Guests are required to pick up after their pets immediately to protect the natural grounds and local well water source.

❄️ Winter Stay Guidance & Safety
Winter in Crested Butte is pure magic, but mountain conditions require preparation and flexibility:
Travel & Roads: Driveways and mountain passes (such as Monarch Pass) can freeze quickly or close during storms. Flight delays into regional airports are common, so flexible travel schedules (and trip insurance) are highly recommended.
Snow Removal: We contract with a high-volume plowing service. Schedules vary during major storms (arriving as early as 5 AM or taking time to catch up after heavy accumulation). Snow berms may form at the end of the driveway, and shoveling around your vehicle may be necessary. Please keep driveways clear for plow crews.
Property Hazards: Deck access may be temporarily restricted during heavy snow accumulation until cleared. Roof snow and ice shed naturally—always watch above when walking near eaves.
Steep Embankment Warning: Do NOT attempt to walk or ski down the steep embankment to the fields below. This area is extremely prone to dangerous avalanches.
