The apartment is only a 10 minute walk away from the Marina and the centre of town where you will find a host of fantastic shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. 15 minute walk to Batata Beach and Meia Praia and a short drive away from other lovely beaches such as Praia Dona Ana, Luz and Burgau. The Bus station is a 2 minute walk away and is an easy and inexpensive alternative to hiring a car. There is also a small 'Tourist Train' that can be used to take you to the Meia Praia or to Ponte de Piedade.
However, if you do wish to hire a car there is parking in an allocated secure parking space in the garage.
There are several fantastic golf courses all within a 15 minute drive and a selection of supermarkets all very close to the apartment.
The 'Aqua Portimao' shopping centre can be reached by bus, for a small charge on the local train which takes around 30 minutes, followed by a short walk to the shopping centre.
Various boat, kayaking trips and other activities can be booked locally.
