Lovely 2 Bed Apartment in a small condominium with pool

Brief Description

First floor apartment ideally suited for families with children. Fantastic location in Lagos 5 mins walk to fabulous beaches Praia do Camilo and Praia Dona Ana. Stunning cliff top walks to Ponta da Piedade (the lighthouse) and only 15 minutes walk from the beautiful historic center of Lagos. The apartment has two double bedrooms; the main with a double bed and the second bedroom with two singles. It has all the amenities that are needed to enjoy a fantastic holiday - air conditioning in the dining room/lounge, TV, DVD player with substantial collection of DVDs/games etc.. WiFi is available, so staying in touch with family and friends is no problem.

The kitchen is fully equipped as is the bathroom with full sized bath with shower above, wash basin with cupboards beneath WC and bidet. The lounge and master bedroom go out onto a large balcony that overlooks the pool in this small, 10 apartment condominium. The balcony faces south east and so is perfect for leisurely meal times and relaxing in the sun. The condominium is fully gated and surrounded by hedges which allow for privacy. The apartment is in a residential area and is extremely quiet despite it being close to Lagos itself. There are many varied restaurants within easy walking distance and there is sufficient parking for the residents of the condominium.

The Area:

The apartment is a few minutes stroll from the lighthouse at Ponta da Piedade and offers easy access to fabulous sandy cove beaches which are ideal for enjoying a swim or snorkeling, the closest is Praia do Camilo and Praia Dona Ana, both just 5 minutes walk. If your preference is for longer sandy beaches these are also close by at Praia do Carnavial and Praia de Porto de Mos. There are numerous great fish restaurants in the area Restaurante O Camilo, Restaurante O Antonio, as well as a host of others within a short walking distance. The historic centre of Lagos itself is only around a 15 minute walk from the apartment and offers great shopping and masses of different styles of restaurants both typically Portuguese and international catering for all tastes and budgets. Apart from the immediate area a 30 minute drive brings you to the west coast, which has a very different atmosphere to that of the south coast resorts. The west coast is the surfers coast; the waves are spectacular and the scenery glorious. Along the southern coast there are the small resorts of Luz, Burgau, and Salema which are well worth a visit.

The Apartment

As briefly mentioned, the apartment is fully equipped with all the amenities needed for a great stay. On your arrival in Lagos we have a "meet and greet" service to introduce you to the apartment and answer any questions that you may have. This is included in the rental price. If you chose, a small welcome pack can be arranged for an extra charge of 20 Euro. Bed linen and towels, both for use in the apartment and on the beach are included. The house towels and bed linen are changed weekly when the apartment is given a quick clean. There is a box on the balcony that contains a variety of beach equipment, folding beach chairs, beach mats and toys for the beach.

We are Peter and Irena; we bought the apartment after staying in it as guests as we were so impressed with it and its location in the lovely town of Lagos. After living and working in the UK we decided to uproot and head for Irena's home region in Bavaria, Germany as well as living our dream of having a place to visit in the sun here in Portugal.

Amazing location!

Lovely apartment in pretty location

This was a very well equipped apartment that suited our family of 4 very well. Beautiful location close to Dona Ana and Camilo beaches and near the boardwalk to the lighthouse. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great apartment

Great apartment with all facilities; very cozy; located in a quiet area, but beautiful beaches and the center of Lagos are within walking distance. Here is absolutely everything you need to regain strength after a busy day! We spent 2 unforgettable weeks in Lagos.

Cozy and comfortable apartment

We really enjoyed staying in this apartment. The beds were comfortable, especially the bed in the master bedroom. Particularly enjoyed the balcony overlooking the pool and backyard. The walk to town was about 35 minutes, a couple of hills on the way back but doable with good sidewalks. The area has a lot of construction but we weren't bothered by any noise. Overall it was a great location, very close to the beach. The unit felt like home very quickly. Would definitely return.

Great Location for Beach Lovers, Quiet and Relaxing ( not for party lovers)

The apartment is about a 10-minute walk from the beach and the breathtaking views of Ponta da Piedade, a perfect spot for sunset lovers! While it’s a bit far from the town center and restaurants, getting there by Bolt only costs around 5–6 euros, so it’s still convenient.The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed to prepare meals, which was really appreciated. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. However, my kids mentioned that the single beds weren’t quite as cozy.Our favorite part of the apartment was definitely the lovely little balcony overlooking the pool — a peaceful place where we spent many relaxing moments.

The roof was leaking from all the rain but that was not Peter’s fault. The cleaning lady came with more towels to soak up water. Had to call her again to come and pick up towels and never seen her again. The whole apartment broke out in mold. It was everywhere. It should have remediation to take care of it before the family comes. Not safe. Pictures available of the mold. Other than that the trip was great. Thanks

Sorry about the leak issue. We contacted the condominium management to have the roof repaired, we have been informed that this will be carried out shortly. Our cleaning representative will be in to treat the mould that resulted from the leak. The Condominium management are arranging for the exterior of the Condominium to be repainted during September with a full inspection of the roof integrity. Apologies for the unseasonably wet weather. Fortunately the rains have now stopped.

Pleasant comfortable apartment

We spent the last week of August here and were very happy with the apartment. Communication with the owner and the local representative was easy and clear. It was clean, well equipped and comfortable. The pool is reasonably sized and well maintained, there weren't many people using it during the week we were there. There is some building work going on nearby but it was not intrusive and didn’t spoil our stay. We walked into Lagos town every evening, its a bit of walk but easily doable for most people. To get to a beach with deckchairs and sunshades we used the car, there are beaches in walking distance but carrying averything makes it more difficult. Parking was not a problem at any of the nearby beaches. The location is great for the Portimao circuit also. I left my motorbike on the trailer in the cul-de-sac parking next to the apartment all week with no issues at all. It's a quiet area with little traffic.

Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter und Colette (Check in) war super und freundlich. Uns hat es am nichts gefehlt. Die Wohnung hatte zudem alles an Ausstattung, was man für eine Woche braucht. Handtücher waren sehr großzügig vorhanden, ebenso wie Strandaccessoirs die man gut gebrauchen konnte. Ich würde die Wohnung jederzeit wiederempfehlen.

Wir hatten einen super Urlaub und haben uns in der Unterkunft sehr wohl gefühlt. Sie ist komplett ausgestattet und es fehlte uns an nichts. Leider gibt es keine Klimaanlage und die Lüfter haben tlw. nicht ausgereicht bei der Hitze. Dadurch war es vorallem im Kinderzimmer sehr warm und unangenehm zum schlafen.Die Wohnung ist super gelegen- sowohl zum Strand als auch in die Stadt kann man laufen

Gemütliches Appartement, zweckmäßig eingerichtet, alles etwas in die Tage gekommen.Abends wird es in dieser Zeit sehr frisch, Heizung vorhanden und ausreichend.Fernsehen (Sat) leider nur portugiesische und englische Sender vorhanden.Durch die Nähe zur Küste schöne Wanderungen möglich.Kann weiter empfohlen werden.

Tolles Apartment

Schönes, geräumiges Apartment, ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht (und mehr). Anlage top gepflegt mit schönem Garten und Pool. In der Umgebung ein paar Baustellen derzeit, aber nicht weiter störend. Parkplatz direkt am Apartment. Kontakt zum Gastgeber und Übergabe reibungslos und freundlich. Wir haben die zwei Wochen sehr genossen.

Lagos est très bien située ! Ville animée et desservie par tout ce que l'on a besoin. Nous avons pu profiter des alentours en Algarve mais aussi de la mer à 1km qui est très belle ! Nous recommandons vivement ce logement😁

Ein toller Urlaub

Das Appartment war schön eingerichtet, mit aktueller Technik. Es ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, aber es war alles voll funktionsfähig und in Ordnung. Die Lage ist ebenfalls super. Man ist schnell zu fuß am Strand und auch schnell in der Stadt. Klare Weiterempfehlung
