Create lasting memories when you rent this beautiful 5 bedroom, 5 and 1/2 bath home. Located on the third row, this house was built with a reverse floor plan so that you can enjoy the breathtaking views of both the ocean and the marsh from the main living area. This home has custom decor consisting of a playful beach theme. The large, well equipped kitchen has granite countertops and the spacious dining room has ample seating so that you can enjoy mealtime together. With new (2018) oversized decks on the back, sunbathers can easily find a place to stretch out while those who prefer the shade will find a place to sit under one of the covered decks. Poolside gatherings will highlight your vacation when you cool off in or relax around the private pool. Amenities include: Multiple flat screen TVs, HDTV w/ surround sound, DVDs, MW, DW, W/D, and CH/A (new units 2018), EV charger outlet (NEMA 14-50), ceiling fans throughout, and Wi-Fi. First Floor: 2D & 1S pool side with private bath, 1Q & 1S street side with private bath, 1D & 1Q street side with private bath, 1D & 1Q pool side with private bath. Second Floor: Master Bedroom on the street side has 1K with private bath.

House was great for our family vacation! Plenty of room, great views and just a short walk to the beach. It was clean and the provided linens were a nice touch! Pool was refreshing and the grill worked out well for burgers and hotdogs one night. Owner was super responsive to the minor issues we had. Would definitely stay again and recommend!!

House needs some TLC, kitchen cabinet door fell off, dresser drawer wouldn’t open. But otherwise a great stay, love the view from the deck and the pool was so cozy to hit getting back from the beach. The beach BTW was just a 3 minute walk with easy access. Would definitely stay again!

The house is absolutely beautiful and clean. Our family enjoyed this house very much. The pool was amazing, there are books and games. The kitchen had everything you need to cook meals. The dinning room table was big enough for the whole family to sit and eat and talk about the day. Its in very convenient area. The veiw from the balcony was my favorite. We got to see dolphins while enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning. The host was very quick to respond with questions or concerns we had. I would recommend this house 100x over.

Fantastic Family Fun!

We had a wonderful vacation! The house was perfect for 5 kids - ages 12, 10, 8, 8, 8 and and 6 adults . We have never stayed in a VRBO house that had such a well equipped kitchen. Everything and anything you would want in a kitchen was there. Between the wonderful pool and the very close beach - we had a great time. Lawrence was very easy to work with. And I have no doubt that if we had had any issues with the property, he would have responded promptly- we just had no issues at all. Thank you for a great vacation!

We had a great stay! We had a 3 min walk to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked and the view of the ocean from the upper deck was amazing! We will definitely look at rebooking this property in the future!

We throughly enjoyed the stay. Nice short walk to great beach. Kids loved the pool. Kitchen was well stocked and roomy. We enjoyed a wonderful week of good weather. So we enjoyed lots of time on outside decks and pretty views.

Relaxing getaway

Can’t beat the location. Literally minutes walk to an in crowded portion of the beach. Plenty of room for the large group we had. Loved the pool convenience. Night ones on the deck were great as well as bathrooms in every room. Highly recommend!

The Sheltons’ Beach Trip 2023

Our family enjoyed the space, especially the kitchen and outdoor areas. The five and eight year olds loved the pool. The walk to the beach was less than 5 minutes. We definitely would rent this house again.

Everyone enjoyed the accommodations to the fullest. The pool was a hit! Location to beach was a quick walk. (Our only challenge was the stairs.). Not a fault of anyone. Just a consideration before booking.

Great house! Great location!

We really enjoyed the house. We loved that every bedroom had its own bathroom. The layout was great with the reverse floorplan, the view of the ocean from the covered deck off the living room was amazing. Communication with the owner was great. We did have a few meals in and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was also great to have a private pool. The public beach access was easily walkable although we did choose to rent a golf cart. Overall we had a great stay!

Happy Times!!

Nice house, enough space for all 15 of us. Short walk to beach was nice with little ones. Kitchen was amazing, everything and anything you would ever need. Kurig/coffee pot was great for all of us who like different things at different times. We enjoyed the beach, pool, walking, putting puzzles together on the rainy days. Everyone loved it and wants to return next year.

Great vacation home

Beautiful home with easy access to beach. A couple of the lounge chairs by the pool were torn ( not a big deal ) they were still usable. In one bedroom there was something on the wall above the bed but my daughter cleaned it and all was good. Would recommend this home for a great vacation.

Better than what we expected!

This is the most convenient, spacious and beautiful house we rented so far. If I have to mention one negative thing is that the pool need to get cleaned but it wasn’t bad, the kids and some adults enjoyed it. I think people comes from the beach directly to the pool without removing the sand from their bodies and that is out of their hands. That will not stop us to rent it again. Very happy with our deserved vacations.

Love Love Loved this house!!!

For 8 adults (2 of them single) and 4 kids 10 & under, this was such a wonderful home to enjoy OIB! Loved the large top-floor well-equipped kitchen WITH A BEACH VIEW, sigh! No matter how hot July was, the seaside breezes kept us refreshed. We enjoyed games in the large dining area & on the upper floor deck, relaxing & low country boil parking-level, a pool to tempt the kids away from the beach, and all of the thoughtful amenities left by our hosts. The only discrepancies in the VRBO listing were that ALL of the full bathrooms except the Master DO have bathtubs - VERY important to parents of littles. And linens & bath towels were provided at no additional charge. Very short walk to the beach - with no boardwalk stairs!

Great Property

Recovery Room is awesome. The layout was perfect for our family of 16. We did rent golf carts, none are included with the house. Was an extra 1000,00 dollars but well woth it. The owner responded to our messages slowly. We got the check in details on Sunday after we checked on Saturday. The house is fully stocked with all we needed. Would we consider it again. Probably not.

Jarest-Reboot 2023

This was our first trip in 3 years going to OIB with our adult children. My husband and I come down in the spring and fall. This was a trip for my entire family hence “Reboot 2023” We have found the house that will be our forever rental for my entire family from here on out EVERY YEAR!!! The property is exactly as it is listed. Each couple had their own space and own bathroom! This is a first for us, we have had houses where they would need to share a bathroom. Every time we go as a family I would pack sheets and towels for everyone, nope not at this house. The Recovery Room provides linens for the beds and towels. Another first! The owners tell you to treat it like it was our home and for the week it did feel like our home. We hope to get a house in OIB one day. But until then Recovery Room will be our vacation home every year. Thank you to our amazing property manager for allowing us to stay in the amazing home! The Jarest Family

Property was fantastic - beautiful view of waves/ocean from large decking. Stairs were somewhat difficult for older ladies. There was mix up on housekeeping cleaning before our arrival. Owner handled immediately but did delay our capability to unpack. Kitchen well stocked. Easy walking access to beach.

We finally have the beach house we have thought about since first setting foot on a North Carolina Beach back in 2003 while I was in the Navy. We left for a short time for the Navy but have been back here since 2008.

Why they chose this property

We Visited beaches up and down the coast from Atlantic Beach to Sunset Beach. The Recovery Room fits all of our needs, location is an easy drive from our home. Amenities are exceptional from the private pool to excellent interior design and fully equipped kitchen.
Sights and sounds of the ocean from our back deck and easy walk to the beach even for little ones.
