The property was in a great location and it was nice to be able to sit in Adirondack chairs in the shade in the front yard. The layout worked perfectly and James and Fernando were excellent to work with. Had an amazing stay there!
We really enjoyed the location. Far enough away from the busier area of Commercial street that it was quiet and yet close enough to walk to restaurants, galleries and shops.
All communication was clear and easy. The place was clean and well appointed. I don’t really have any recommendations for changes, because everything went so smoothly. Thanks for a great stay!
Spectacular unit, awesome location, the nicest hosts
Imagine just the nicest, warmest, brightest, most comfortable one bedroom, then put it in the perfect location in an historic and well maintained house and that is this rental. Oh, and the decor features Cape Cod Lighthouses and a well done nautical theme.
My stay at the Figure Head House was perfect. It's one of the cleanest rentals I've ever stayed in. The hosts are delightful, accommodating & friendly. They went out of their way to be helpful, like when I forgot a couple of things & they made sure I got them back. I came for a funeral in early January from Florida. I asked them about the heating in their place & the owners made sure I was kept warm by the radiators. The condo is well equipped & charming. They pretty much have anything you need, from lovely kitchen ware to fluffy towels. It's a pretty condo, close to everything in Provincetown. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. A big thank-you to my hosts!
We were delighted by our stay. The place was clean and well-maintained, and seemed much larger than we expected which was a nice surprise. It was well-equipped and very comfortable even as the weather changed from hot to cold. Highly recommended.
The apartment is super well located, very clean, and well outfitted. The hosts were extremely responsive. The only complaint is that the front door is jammed in the frame and cannot be opened.
The building itself is beautiful and is in the middle of the Gallery west end. Includes several sweet surprises like coffee from A local roaster. The decor is charming with many cute touches.
My partner and I had a wonderful stay in Ptown in October for Women's Week.
The condo was well-appointed and had everything we needed (except a kettle, but we travel with our own for this very reason).
It was a nice distance from the activity on Commercial street to be very quiet, but still perfectly walkable.
We did call a pedi-cab one day which was also nice.
No complaints. 5 stars.
We loved our 8 day stay
PROS
Walkable to what you need including market
Block from beach access
VERY clean
Cute and comfortable, had everything we needed
Great communication with host
Great air conditioning
CONS
Sleeps up to 3 but very cozy ( this was ok for our family)
If you like to spread out and/or have lots of bags, this may not be for you
We would stay here again.
Traveling back to Provincetown after many years, having lived here in the 80’s. It is a perfect spot, just enough out of town & close to all the east end art galleries. It was quiet, clean & with all the needs met. Parking spot is an absolute plus.
James and Fernando have a beautiful property! The pictures on the listing do not do it justice. Booking with them was very easy and they were communicative throughout, leading up. I have a large F150, so parking was a tad tight but I manuvered in there haha! The house was sparkling clean and smelled wonderful. They thought of everything. I dont know if there is always a hair straightener or they knew I had my wife with me, but that was a nice touch. There was plenty of room for the 2 of us. I enjoyed seperate bedroom from living room, as I am an early riser and she likes to sleep in. Kudos on the coffee grinder..we love fresh ground Dunkin. Sitting on the front lawn, drinking coffee and watching Ptown wake up was everyday for us. We walked to the water a few mornings and what a view! Downtown is a very quick, peaceful 5 minute ride and we went into town everyday. We met a few of the neighbors and they were all very pleasant and nice. We cooked breakfast every morning and a few dinners. I appreciated the stocked kitchen with pots, pans, and cooking utensils. Our stay was perfect! We have had a bad experience with renting in Ptown and this place was a refreshing change. It was relaxing and very comfortable. James and Fernando were excellent hosts and we look forward to booking again!
This property is perfect for a couple. It is extremely clean and private, and the views of the ocean is amazing. It’s within walking distance of everything but far enough to not be bothered by excessive noise. The host offered information on everything may need to the point that we did not need to contact them. I highly recommend this property and will definitely be staying again in the future.
My husband and I decided to go to Provincetown for the week after our wedding in early October to decompress and enjoy some down time on the Cape. The apartment was in a perfect location on the south end of Commercial Street. Very quiet, but it was a quick walk to the downtown area, and there were a couple small markets within a 5 minute walk. The check-in process was easy and the hosts, James and Fernando, were very proactive in communicating instructions with us before we arrived. We were even able to get into the apartment early. The space is small, but it was perfect for two people, and it was clean, well decorated and had everything in the kitchen you'd need if you were going to prepare a meal. Having the dedicated parking spot was very helpful and there is a front yard with chairs if you want to sit outside. We would definitely stay there again the next time we are in town.
James was an impressive host. Upon arrival there was construction (roofing/siding) taking place on the exterior of the home. The unit itself was great. James immediately addressed the issue and offered to switch us to his other much larger in town property.
Our stay was wonderful. The property was meticulously maintained and had everything you’d need. Ours was a short stay. But I’d be back in a heartbeat for a much longer stay. Thank you James!
Our stay at Figurehead House was perfect!! The hosts and cleanliness, charm, location, all. My friend and I met several lovely locals. The location was perfect, we walked up and down Commercial St everyday. Couple tips: When parking in spot 1, pull up as far as possible to the left of of #2 spot which is yellow shed. It's a beach town, there is no washer & dryer in unit, we hung towels up in closet but did drape a pair of running shorts on back patio chair. Don't do that. Highly recommend sitting out front in evening and 🌙, the people walking up and down Commercial St. were a delight. We took a Beach Day to Herring Cove Beach via the Shuttle which you can can pick up at McMillan Pier for 2 bucks. They make a loop around the Peninsula with regular interval pick ups.
A beautiful condo, much more spacious than most average hotel rooms, located on the East end of Commercial Street. By foot you're literally about ten minutes away from the city centre (but I spent a day bicycling to a local winery and another touring the beaches at Race Point.). You're also literally steps from dozens of galleries and restaurants as well as two very good specialty food stores.
The condo was clean and tastefully decorated with lots of Cape Cod paraphernalia. (With seashells, starfish, posters, model boats strewn about I immediately felt ready for Provincetown) After a long trip, it was great to have munchies waiting for me on the coffee table.
Even in the middle of Bear week with events running from morning till after midnight, I definitely needed a cozy place to plop down and spend an evening watching TV (There are two; one in the living room another near the bed.)
There's also a stunning local beach just steps away.
Highly recommended.
Our needs might be similar to yours: good location walkable to everything fun, off-street parking, a comfortable, clean and QUIET place to stay.
This property checks all the boxes and then some. From the very beginning, the owners were accommodating and informative. That's a big plus. The apartment itself is located in the quiet East End with excellent parking. It's decorated beautifully and peacefully. While the bedroom is small - as historic homes in this area often are - and the kitchen is no place to whip up of four-course dinner, the bedroom is clean and quiet. The kitchen is really efficient with a sizable refrigerator and even a dishwasher. We ended up cooking a meal of local scallops, rice and broccoli with no problem.
The bathroom is perfect and the shower is surprisingly spacious with plenty of hot water. Our hosts were even kind enough to leave a First Aid kit, hairdryer, straightener, and plenty of soap.
The main room is a gem! With views of the bay and a nice front yard, it gets plenty of light in the morning. The futon can easily double as a comfortable bed. The best part is an adorable and easy-to-use electric (or maybe gas) fireplace. It's cozy and light at the same time.
The hosts provided plenty of sheets, towels and amenities. The WiFi is fast and the TV has lots of apps.
A great choice for a couple like us - and maybe you!
We came down for a visit in Feb, when we knew it would peaceful and quiet.
Any questions or concerns I had pre-visit, were answered swiftly.
The unit is much bigger than we expected. The color scheme and artwork were very nice and calming.
The shower was big enough for the both of us (conserve that water!) and had space underneath the sink to put any toiletries, etc that we brought from home.
The kitchen was small, but never did we feel cramped or in each others way. This came in handy for making our own meals at home, which saves on the wallet.
It had enough dishes for us, and the pots, pans, utensils, etc. were all present and accounted for.
The living room had large windows where you could see the water through the houses across the street. We don't normally watch tv, but the large tv was appreciated on a rainy evening where we binged watched crime shows.
There are some books and even a puzzle to keep you occupied if you need stimulation. I started reading 'Close to Shore' while I was there, and ended up ordering the book, so I could finish it at home. (it will arrive in 2 days!)
The unit was warm, and even had a fireplace (we didn't use it, as we were quite comfortable without it).
We will definitely be back again for this gem.
We've been friends for 20+ years and decided to purchase something together in Provincetown to share. We love the town and have been coming here for years. We've enjoyed many good times together here on the cape and are excited to finally own something.
Why they chose this property
We appreciate that the property is very close to the center or Provincetown, but not in the exact center with all the crowds. The building was renovated about 5 years ago and is in excellent condition. Being across the street from the harbor is fantastic for early morning walks with the sunrise or for early evening walks when the tide is out.
What makes this property unique
Harbor views with easy access. Front yard. Kitchen. Quick walk to town center. Parking spot. Living room, cable, wifi. Perfect for couples.
