The Eliza Mae Cottage

The Eliza Mae Cottage is situated on Muhlenberg Avenue in lovely Mt. Gretna. There is off street parking for several cars including a carport in the rear of the cottage. It is within walking distance to the Playhouse, Jigger Shop, basketball and tennis courts, playground and Rails to Trails walking paths. Go for a swim and relax on the beach or grass area at beautiful Lake Conewago. There is a weekly publication of daily activities in Mt. Gretna , obtainable at walkable stops during your stay. The Eliza Mae Cottage has 4 air conditioned bedrooms and 2 whole house fans. The fully equipped kitchen has a microwave, dishwasher and a breakfast bar. There is a washer and dryer and a clothes line in the back. Along with the kitchen, there is a living room, dining room, sunroom and half bath which complete the first floor. Relax with family and friends on the amazing front porch which has comfortable outside seating with rocking chairs and a dining table. On the second floor the bedrooms have ample closet space and comfortable mattresses. A king size, queen size, double size and 3 twins make up the 4 bedrooms. Pets are prohibited and smoking is restricted to only the back porch and rear of the cottage. Linens and towels are provided as are all paper products. There is charcoal grill in the back as well as a lovely cottage garden with a bench. The Eliza Mae has modern amenities preserving cottage charm.

We love Eliza Mae cottage. It’s a quaint cottage in a beautiful setting. Marianne has beautiful flowers all around the cottage with a fairy garden and a water display with a fountain and fish. It’s within walking distance of the tabernacle, the Jigger shop and lots of other attractions. We love the porch and spend most of our time there. We eat most of our meals there. The kitchen is well stocked. I highly recommend this cottage.

This Gretna cottage is one of those rare finds with parking, the porch always exceeds our expectations, and the host is exceptionally easy to communicate with. This was our second experience at the Eliza Mae and we look forward to a return stay.

Adorable cottage

Planned a trip to Hershey for friends and family to get together. Easy 25 minute ride to the house, cottage was cute and exactly as described. Kids loved the ice cream place around the corner. Wish we stayed longer so we could have checked out the lake area nearby. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful cottage and a wonderful place to spend the Christmas holiday. Marianne went above and beyond to make the stay welcoming especially for the holiday. Great escape

The cottage was peaceful and relaxing. It was close to numerous attractions and was a great spot to come back to after a busy day. The kids loved the fairy garden and pond.
