Located on the coveted Big 3, our bright waterfront retreat offers 200’ of private shoreline, breathtaking views & the perfect setting for a family getaway. Swim from the dock, paddle by kayak or canoe, relax in the hot tub & gather around the fire under the stars. Just 1 min from downtown Bala & less than 2 hours from Toronto, Woodhaven is the perfect family escape.

4-season cottage located on well-maintained year round access road within walking distance to Bala and all of your daily amenities. *Many guests so far have commented that the pictures do not do the property justice.* Kitchen and bathrooms beautifully renovated (with in floor heating in the main bathroom!). Cozy up in the Muskoka Room with 180 degree exposure overlooking long views of the lake. The front sitting room is the perfect place to relax with a book or spend time playing games with friends and family. Enjoy dining alongside grand propane fireplace and taking in the breathtaking sights. Fantastic outdoor space boasting a 200 ft frontage. 3 tiered-deck including upper seating area with Muskoka chairs, mid level furnished with a relaxing hot tub (brand new summer 2021) and lower level huge jumping dock with netted gazebo & cushioned chairs. Fire pit for roasting marshmallows and star gazing at night. Property sprayed for mosquitoes throughout summer!!! 3 person Pelican 15.5ft Canoe & 4 Kayaks for your enjoyment.

INSIDE:
3 Bedroom 2 full bathrooms. Available to guests is use of updated and well equipped kitchen with TWO fridges, dishwasher, stove/oven, microwave and coffee maker (drip), Keurig (K-cup) with tea and hot chocolate. Enough plates, bowels & cups for 8. Dining table for 8. Eat-in kitchen for 2. Pots, pans & utensils for your cooking or baking use. Reverse osmosis filtration system for drinking. Barbecue & propane provided.
Unlimited high-speed Bell wifi, Samsung Smart Tv with Netflix, Spotify connection, YouTube & Satellite with many HD channels for your viewing pleasure. Central HVAC throughout: full heat/air condition in every room.

Bedroom 1: Master with en-suite bathroom (stand-up shower), KING size bed, dresser, closets & window.
Bedroom 2: KING size bed, two side tables, dresser, closet & window.
Bedroom 3: Two wood bunkbeds (both twin over double - can sleep 6). Kids will especially love sleepovers in this room. Dresser, closet & window.

We do have a pack & play/travel crib and high chair available for use upon request.

Feel free to bring your boat or Jet ski- we have a boat slip available to use. Parking for 6 cars.

Please Note: We have an awesome jumping dock with deep, calm water. This may not be ideal for small kids (must be accompanied) or those who cannot swim as there is no beach area or really shallow waters. However, a short walk to Windsor Park (which has beach!)

Neighbourhood:
The cottage is located on a private property conveniently minutes from town yet a world away for relaxation. 2 min drive (or boat ride) to Bala. Downtown Bala is a must visit Muskoka small town characterized by its eclectic mix of events, such as the award-winning Bala Cranberry Festival, Christmas festivities and antique and craft shows. Browse lovely boutiques and dine at one of many restaurants. Walk to the falls, grocery, ice cream shops and lcbo literally within minutes. Dance the night away at The Kee to Bala. Home to legendary summer concerts, Monday resort nights and available for private bookings for over 70 years. The Kee to Bala is Muskoka's summer tradition (2 min drive or 10 min walk). 15 min to Port Carling and Gravenhurst.

SUMMER
Catch the Waterski Show at Windsor Park (short walk). Rent water sports equipment (have an unforgettable day on the water boating, jet skiing, wakeboarding, canoeing, kayaking or paddle boarding.) Enjoy a sunset cruise on the big 3 in an antique boat. Take a hike on the rails. Have a glass of wine and apps on one of the many waterfront patios. Tee off at one of the golf courses or visit the new driving range in Bala (3 min drive)

FALL
Enjoy the display of beautiful coloured leaves. In October, Bala hosts Muskoka’s favourite fall festival.. Cranberry Fest! Shopping, Live music, entertainers & performers, wine tasting, helicopter tours, kids activities and great food! (2 min drive or 10 min walk)

WINTER
Looking to travel in the winter? We are a 4 season cottage with municipal water, snow plowed Main Street and on demand generator that can power the whole place. Go Ice fishing, snowmobiling (mins from OFSC trail), snow-shoeing or cozy up by the beautiful stone gas fireplace -no clean up! Bala has lots of Christmas festivities: a guided tour, Santa Claus Parade and Tree Lighting etc. The Cranberry Ice Trail in Bala offers skating with an on-site winery, or play pond hockey!

*we DO NOT allow large groups of people from multiple households. 1 or 2 households max*

-This cottage is NOT suitable for parties or loud groups. The neighbours are quite sensitive to noise and in order to respect them we have a noise curfew of 11pm. All outside music must be turned off by 11pm, and at no point should there be offensive/explicit music played outside. If noise complaint received, booker will be responsible for the fine and asked to leave.
-We are on a septic system. Do not flush anything but toilet paper. Do not put anything down the drain. The following will result in a back-up:
-feminine hygiene products
-baby wipes/wet wipes/cleaning pads
-diapers
-dental floss/Qtips
-medication/pills
-cooking grease/food
-condoms
-paper towels
-Absolutely NO smoking cigarettes or marijuana inside, there is plenty of outdoor space for that, just please dispose of them properly and safely (ash trays provided) and do not leave butts lying around our yard
-NO PETS allowed. You will be asked to leave if you bring one at any time during your stay -An absolute maximum of 8 guests at ANY time. The amount of guests you confirmed at booking are the ONLY guests allowed, not more.
-No sleeping on furniture other than beds, make sure the bedroom accommodations work for your group
-No 3rd party bookings. The booker must be present for the entirety of the stay
-We enjoy drinking by the fire pit, hot tub and on the decks too, but please refrain from using glass and do not bring any paper towel or tissue inside tub
-No use of candles & no FIREWORKS on the property
-Muskoka is full of wildlife so please dispose of garbage properly. Do not leave food outdoors- be bear aware
-Must abide by the Fire Danger Rating, sometimes there are fire bans. SMALL FIRES only & must be put out fully once finished
-Do not leave wet towels laying around, especially not on the furniture & hardwood floors
-If using canoe, secure it on tree as found afterwards
-Do not move inside furniture. If moving outside furniture please return to original spot
-No snowmobiles to be brought onto the driveway or property
-Please fill & turn on dishwasher before leaving so the cleaner can empty it upon arrival
-Do not use baseboard heaters; we have full hvac heating
-Do not use air conditioning and fireplace at the same time
-No outdoor shoes to be worn inside
-Check-in is after 4pm and check-out strictly 10am
-Garbage: TWO garbage bags and TWO recycling bags (sorted separately as glass and paper) can be put into the front bear bin. Anything more needs to be taken to the dump
