We make traveling to the Heron Hideaway simplified: a fully stocked kitchen with all of the modern amenities, fresh linens, beach toys, a new game table (pool, ping pong, hockey), wifi and flat screens, all within the safety of a gated community.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please make sure all window treatments are closed, thermostat should be set to 74.
Please fold all patio umbrellas and put cushions in the garage.
Disconnect the bbq from the propane tank.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No glass on the pool deck EVER. A financial penalty will be imposed, which involves draining the pool, cleaning it of debris, and refilling it.
Please do not use bath towels for the pool or the beach. Dedicated pool/beach towels are plentiful.
Please do not leave ANY food behind. And please recycle when possible.

What a great stay! The house is very comfortable, clean, well stocked and a perfect location! About a 5 minute walk to a private beach area. Also, great location to explore the area and some great restaurants. Would highly recommend it!

Perfect vacation

This was our 3 rd year renting this property. The location is perfect, close to everything but still private. The private beach and pool are fantastic and the home is in pristine condition and fully stocked. Kim is always available and quick to respond. Looking forward to our stay next year!

This is a great property and the private beach area within walking distance was perfect. Beach chairs, towels and wagons made daily trips to the ocean easy and enjoyable. Would highly recommend and would return for future trips.

Wonderful beachside home

The house has literally everything you could need for a stress free stay. Wonderful comfortable bedrooms, spacious sitting areas and a well stocked kitchen. Outside the pool was amazing with plenty of areas to sit and sunbathe. Only a short stroll to the beach where you could walk for miles in either direction and not meet anyone. Only a short drive to supermarkets and local restaurants all in all fabulous property.

Fabulous location

This was our second year staying at the Heron Hideaway. This property is well maintained and has all the necessary amenities for a perfect vacation. The pool is fantastic and we spent many days on the beach which is a short walk. There are also many excellent restaurants very close by. We are already booked for next year!

Great Location and Layout

The house was great! Very clean. Kim was great to work with. Any issues we had were resolved right away. The layout of the house for bedrooms and entertainment was wonderful for our family. The beach was a 5 min walk. We pretty much had the whole beach to ourselves the whole time. Not far from grocery stores, downtown, etc.

Great winter escape

We had a wonderful time staying here. The host provided great check in guidance and all the supplies and amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. It is just 12 houses away from a private beach access with a wonderful beach for long walks and sunrises. The neighborhood is great for walking and close to town for shopping and activities.

Never Disappoints!

We’ve stayed at The Heron House several times and every time it is for the same reason - it’s a fantastic house with everything you could want. Bikes, chairs, a pool, beautiful working kitchen, plenty of linens and towels, so clean, and a responsive and gracious host.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Heron Hideaway was a dream come true! It was clean, comfortable and spacious. We really enjoyed the private pool in the backyard and the short walk to the magical secluded neighborhood beach. We really appreciated all of the pool / beach ammentities in the garage and the games / toys in the dining room cabinets for our daughter. Kim is super reliable and responsive. We look forward to working with her again to book another stay at Heron Hideaway in the future :)

Perfect location & the house was stocked with everything we could possibly need

We loved the location -- not only in a quiet neighborhood with a private beach, but it was located within 5 to 30 minutes of our daily outdoor adventures as well as some interesting local restaurants (highly recommend the Kilted Mermaid). We didn't use the beach toys but there was a garage full, and all in good condition.We were a group of five lifelong female friends, and other than occasionally wishing for a third bathroom the house was perfect. I've stayed in a lot of short term rentals and never have I arrived at the same time that an Amazon truck showed up with boxes of TP and garbage bags for our use, or opened cabinets to find spices and other cooking supplies beyond the bare minimum. All five of us agreed we would definitely stay here again.

Peaceful Paradise

This property is amazing! Very nice home inside and outside. I gave it a 4 in cleanliness only because the pool and pool side furniture could be maintained a little better. Otherwise, the home was very clean and up to date. It provided a ton of pool/beach supplies, kitchen supplies, bathroom supplies, bikes, wagons, beach chairs, and even laundry/misc. supplies. The only suggestion for the house is to provide Fire or ROKU TV on every TV in the house. The private beach access is very nice but it is about a 5-8 minute walk to the house. For anyone who has never been to Vero - This was our first time here and it was absolutely beautiful. It is a very quiet and peaceful beach town. We were some of the only people on the beach and we hardly had to wait at any restaurants.

Fabulous vacation home

I cannot praise Kim enough or give a high enough rating to do justice to this property. The house was fully stocked and beautifully decorated. The location of this home is perfect, many fine restaurants and walk to the beach. It was a wonderful vacation! My only problem is that it is not available for next year🙁. We loved this house!! The pool was great, and the distance to the ocean was not far. It is only a few steps up the pathway and then a few down to the sand. The beach is beautiful and quiet. Not much traffic there (we went in the evenings). It was nice having 2 tv rooms. The adults could talk in one and kids watch cartoons in the other. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. It is a perfect place to stay with a family, having 3 bedrooms- 1 with a king, 1 with 2 twins or put together for a king, and one with a queen. The kitchen has plenty of pans, dinnerware, bowls and storage containers. We mostly cooked our meals in the open kitchen. There are games and books too. All in all it is a great place to stay if you want a slow, relaxing vacation at the beach. Oh, and take a trip on an airboat at Capt Bob’s airboat rides. It is awesome, and so close to this home!!

one word....amazing

Me and my family rented the house for the month of july. Great house, we all loved the pool. the house is well equipped and as everything you need and more. fully stock kitchen. confortables bedrooms. the house as a relaxing vibe. the beach is 5 minutes walk and is very nice or you can go explore other beaches by car , 5-10 minutes drive from the house. The owner is easy to reach and answer right away if you have any questions. thank you for everything hope to stay at your house again in the future.

Hurray for Heron Hideaway

We had the vacation of a lifetime! Time spent as a couple, with another adult couple and then with our family were all made possible with these accommodations! Everything listed was available. The pool was screened in and right at our fingertips! The beach was a 5 minute walk away. The house itself was very comfortable as well as efficient. If cooking and dining was your choice, then everything was there! If going out we were close to many restaurants. Kim was very responsive and in a timely fashion with answers to any questions we had. Our grandchildren were very sad to leave and we have many memories of our time at Heron Hideaway!

Why they chose this property

The slower pace of Vero is optimal for busy people who want to get away from the daily grind. The sunshine, fresh salt air and luxurious accommodations keeps our guests coming back.

What makes this property unique

Our home is fully renovated to fit a modern lifestyle. House rules are to lose the shoes and disconnect. But when you need the wifi or to catch a game while you are in the pool (caged to avoid all of the nasty Florida bugs), you can do that too. The best part of the Heron Hideaway is the proximity to the private beach and all that you can do... kayaking, wave boarding, diving, shelling, SUPing, fishing or chilling in a chair with a good read.
