Lakefront Home and Dock with Tiki Bar At 4mm at Lake Of The Ozarks!

Enjoy this classic fisherman's lake house that was built in the late 1950's and has been extensively renovated!!! Nestled in the back of Dry Branch Cove, the water is calm and perfect for swimming or hanging out on the dock. With 160+ feet of waterfront, there is plenty of room to fish and lots of privacy! Dock has generous swim platform, tiki bar, firepit seating, and sits in serene water that awaits your personal (or rented) watercraft. The boat slip lift can be lowered to open slip for your personal boat. The water is so calm in the back of the cove that our guests have been very satisfied with the safety of their watercraft when tying up to the dock. There is room directly across from our driveway to park a boat trailer and room for 5-6 vehicles in our driveway. The upstairs of the home was completed renovated and features hardwood floors throughout, a cozy living room, three bedrooms, and a renovated bathroom. The Master bedroom has queen size bed and generous wall mounted LED television with DVD. The second bedroom features a comfy full-sized bed and a wall mounted flatscreen TV with DVD. The third bedroom features a twin over full sized bunk bed. Each bed has brand new pillow top/ memory foam mattresses that are so comfortable! Downstairs, you will find the renovated kitchen, dining area, and a second bathroom that is easy access to the new deck or the lakefront. This part of the house has also been renovated with a brand new bathroom and tile flooring throughout. Kitchen is stocked with pots & pans, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, glasses, silverware, and dishes. Basically, everything you need is available.
In 2020, we are granting access to the garage area of the property, where full sized washer and dryer are, for laundry facilities only.
The best part about the property is the large yard with mature trees, wide space between our neighbors, and the gentle slope down to the water. A fire pit for family campfires, Weber charcoal grill, and outdoor seating adds to your camp experience.

Great Family Vacation

This property was perfect for our family of 8. The quiet cove was great for spending time in the water. Our favorite part was the dock! Perfect setup with plenty of room in the sun or shade.

3rd vacation stay

This is our 3rd time vacationing here and it was amazing as always! It is the best spot for relaxation. A very quiet cove to swim, fish, and hang out with our family. We will be back again!

BEST DOCK EVER!!!

This was a wonderful and very clean place to stay. We brought our tritoon boat and parked it right in the slip at the amazing dock where we spent the majority of our time. Mary was so quick to respond to any questions. It is also a great location and close to many fun restaurants and bars.

Amazing place!

This is an absolute beautiful cottage! The cottage is truly on a quiet cove of the lake. We were able to relax and spend our day on the beautiful dock and big backyard. The water was warm and clear and the dock was perfect to fish and swim from. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed to make our stay wonderful.The location was great- it is within minutes from the big attractions in Osage beach and Lake Ozark. Mary and Dennis were terrific and got back to us with any questions we had. We would not hesitate to go back again!

Fun family vacation

Everything was beautiful & just like how it was described. Dock was awesome & spent most of our time there. Loved that we were in a quiet cove away from the craziness of the main lake. If we had any questions, the owner responded & was very helpful. Would definitely recommend for a family vacation. Fair warning to others: if you bring your own boat, the parking & roads near the house are pretty difficult to maneuver with a trailer. Other than that small issue (took some brainstorming), everything was perfect!

Everything was excellent

We stay at different locations all over the lake. We always look for a quiet cove and great dock. This property wins the game in those categories. The house if clean, beds comfortable and kitchen and supplies very adequate. Mary responds quickly with any questions. We had no issues and would definitely recommend and put this one on our list to rent again. Dont hesistate, this is a good one!

Could have been cleaner, bad experience with owner

On arrival we found that the property wasn't as clean as we expected. There were pubic hairs in the shower upstairs, the toilet had not been properly cleaned, and there were extensive water stains on the shower door in the downstairs bathroom. There was an excessive build up of dead bugs in the bar area of the tiki bar at the dock. The bar lighting was very dusty and had clearly not been cleaned for some time. The grill was very dirty and had not been cleaned for a long time either, which we had to do. On departure we spilled a small amount of juice on the kitchen floor and made our best efforts to clean it up with washing up liquid as there were no other supplies available. There was a small scorch mark to the dock from a firework, we did our best to clean this. On leaving we also found female underwear left from a previous stay. Since then, we were notified of a $100 fee added to our stay 'for cleaning and damage caused'. When queried, the owner came back with a list of items that were clearly not our fault, and had not been damaged, said that they don't clean the grill or bar. We asked for photographic evidence and did not receive anything that would support her claims. We also paid a fee for cleaning and took out insurance in the event of a problem but the owner is refusing to go through insurance which would be in everyone's best interest. Suffice to say, we would find it hard to recommend this property to anyone and will be taking this further.

The house was perfect for our family. Very clean and just as advertised. Situated on a quiet cove and the dock is amazing! Home is updated and there is room for parking. Highly recommend!

Relaxing

We were there for a short family vacation and the house was perfect for the number of people we had. It was close to the dock/water and we enjoyed one day of swimming and relaxing by the dock. We boated the rest of the trip. The house had everything we needed!

Perfect mix of quiet and entertainment

This was perfect for us: my husband and our 3 kids. 2 of them adults plus their spouses= 8. Youngest 15 to oldest 24. The dock is where we spent all of our time. Rain or shine this quiet cove will not disappoint. Sleeps 7 with a couch with an extra air matt in the closet. Amenities were great. Very nicely updated interior. And cannot say enough great things about the outdoors. There is an air compressor on the dock which was awesome. Will be back!

Memorial weekend vacation

A group of 6 of us stayed here over memorial weekend and it was absolutely perfect. We chose this rental because because of the dock and it did not disappoint! It was great for drinks at the tiki bar, swimming in the cove, and ending the night by the fire pit. Our group was all adults, but this house would be perfect if you had little ones too.

Absolutely amazing all around.

This place was amazing to stay at. The communication with the owners was outstanding. The house sleeps 6 comfortably. And the dock was beautiful. It had lighting, seating and easy access to tie your boat up to in a quite cove. The public launch was not far away either. Great place.

Cozy quiet location perfect for our family of 5

Our kids enjoyed fishing and swimming off the dock as it is located lake front off a quiet cove. We enjoyed the full grown trees which provided shade outside. Comfy couches in living room which were perfect for our family of 5.

Perfect location on the lake

Our family of 4 enjoyed this location and especially the property very much. The dock is fantastic, living room and bedrooms very comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed to cook most of our meals at home, and the extra perk was the laundry access. We would highly recommend this property to anyone.

Perfect lake house on a quiet cove

This is the perfect place for a family vacation. The house is small but wonderfully updated. The best part is the large deck and awesome dock. We used the paddle board and kayak every morning. Looking forward to returning for another wonderful visit.

Beautiful dock and location!

We rented this property for a week with our family of 4. It was a perfect size for us. The dock is beautiful and we spent most of our time there. We typically stay closer to the middle part of the lake, but this location was great! The drive into town was not too bad either.

Wonderful place to stay

We really enjoyed our time at rocky mount. The place had lots of fun stuff to do, and a nice quiet canal. The paddle board and kayak were a hit! We had to buy some water toys, since all the water toys had holes in them, unfortunately. But, the neighbors made up For it. They were so nice, had a grandson our kids age, so they did lots of playing! We would definitely rent again. Great fishing spot too. Everyone caught their fill.

Dennis and I have lived in Columbia, MO since 2006. Dennis is a Navy Veteran and a realtor for House of Brokers in Columbia. I have been a nurse for 20 years and am proud to call Truman VA Hospital my workplace. Dennis and I have been married 25 years and have always had a love for boating and watersports. We took the "plunge" in 2015 and bought the cottage at Lake of the Ozarks.

Why they chose this property

Lake of the Ozarks has world renowned freshwater fishing, plenty of activities for families (ie: miniature golf, bumper boats, go-karts, indoor water park, outdoor water parks, and movie theatres), and nightlife fun! This cottage was built in 1958 and owned by the last homeowner for 42 years. It is built on three lots of mature trees and a very gentle slope to the water. When we saw the water view, the trees, and the house, we knew that this was a unique opportunity to begin our own story at the lake.

What makes this property unique

We used a local dock company to build a custom dock with a spacious swim platform, a swim ladder, oscillating fan, and LED color change lighting. This is the perfect place to enjoy the water view and keep your personal watercraft close by. From water, the property is just minutes away from Jolly Rogers, Coconuts, Lazy Gators, H. Toads, and The Boathouse. Sunday brunch at Jolly Rogers or nightlife at H.Toads or Shady Gators are a short boat ride or car ride away.
