Nestled in the heart of the Folk Music Capital of the world is The Squirrel’s Nest at The Knotty Squirrel rental complex. Our newly constructed units offer several different options to accommodate for any number of guests. The Squirrel’s Nest offers an outdoor seating area, coffee bar, 1 queen bed, nice walk in shower,and nice desk area! Get a great feel for tiny home living! You do have to climb a flight of stairs to get to this unit and it is not a full cabin more like a hotel room with a tiny house feel!

*note* This unit is a secluded setting that is great for relaxation and privacy. To access this unit, park at the pavilion the middle building and walk just to the left and you will see the steps leading to your unit!

The Nest was beautiful!

The Knotty Squirrel is a very nice place to stay! The Nest was perfect place for me to stay! Queen size bed , very comfortable! Microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot & they supplied cups, coffee, sugar and cream! Ironing board, iron, extra blanket, plenty of towels, wash clothes, hand soap and face wipes! Desk area was nice too! Plenty of channels on TV to watch as well! Perfect location!!! Right on the town square near everything! All within walking distance and listening to pickers on the square was amazing! Management was so nice and helpful! I've already rebooked for my husband and I's 30th anniversary in August! Staying in King size unit then! I rate it as A++ Excellent đź‘Ť!!

Cutest Little Cottages

Hubby and I had the best time here, just wish we had stayed longer! The attention to detail is amazing!!! Location is GREAT! Have been to Mountain View several times and this was best time ever! There was a problem with the heat, manager moved us to another cottage quickly and was so very nice about it!!! We cannot wait to go back, we have definitely found our favorite place❤️

Perfect place for alone time!

Cabin was exactly as listed and very clean. Super convenient to main street, sylamore creek and the white river. Even though it's located right off main street, it was quiet except for the little bit of music drifting from the park at dusk which was lovely. This is a perfect place for a single person or a couple! As a single female I felt extremely safe and could relax completely!

Great place for weekend get away

This place was very clean. Not only the room but the entire grounds. We enjoyed the close proximity to all of the downtown attractions. It was nice to walk around the area. The only thing I would suggest is including a heavier comforter Or extra blanket for those of us who are cold natured. We will definitely return.
