Perfect stay for our visit. We came up for a wedding and then home is about 5 minutes from the venue and downtown Gruene. We can't wait to stay again!

SUPER clean, great location, sweet little guest suite. Plenty of towels, nice bathroom. We brought our bicycles and could easily ride into Gruene. The hot tub is a nice touch. Friendly owners and it was a nice quiet getaway!

Myself my mother and my sister stayed October 2nd through October 4th we had a wonderful time the place was very clean and really enjoyed the hot tub. It is so close to Gruene your there in 2 minutes. It was so peaceful and very pleasant they have everything set up so nice had a great time.

Great little HQ for exploring Gruene and the surrounding hill country. In a quiet neighborhood, and an easy, safe one mile walk each way to downtown (as well as Rockin R if you want to tube the river) if you don't want to deal with parking. Kathleen and Greg were great hosts, as well as the kitty welcoming committee outside. Would definitely stay again. Traffic from/to either airport wasn't too bad if you can time it in that 10-2 window.

We enjoyed our stay very much and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing time. The kitchenette was well stocked to prepare meals, cold AC and ceiling fan kept us cool, bed was comfy. The outdoor porch was really nice to sit and enjoy complimentary coffee and looking at the lovely garden, woods, birds and deer scenery. We definitely will stay here again. We absolutely love staying here! Owners are super nice and the property is very charming. Super clean, spacious, beds are comfortable and very quiet. We have stayed here several times and will continue. It’s our favorite!

Host was very responsive and communicated very well. The lower level of the house was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed. The hot tub appeared to be in good working order but we did not use it. Parking was a bit of an issue as the upper level guests had two vehicles and that made a challenge for our car to leave the property.

We rate this place a 10! Very clean and comfortable. Nice quiet setting yet close to down town for sightseeing. The hosts were very friendly and literally on-call if needed. Hot tub was all preset and worked great! The little chocolates were also a nice touch!

This is a great place to stay when visiting Gruene and New Braunsfels. It’s quiet and peaceful with deer hanging out in the yard. The hot tub was the perfect temperature and communication with the owner was easy. The room is a nice size with a kitchenette. Very clean. We will stay here again.

This place has become a "home away from home" as I visit twice a year to see my 93 year old aunt and enjoy New Braunfels after more than 70 years of vacations as a child and adult in this wonderful town. The Hosts take good care of it, I appreciate the washer/dryer access and full kitchen. Quiet, private and homey. PLUS CATS!!

Wonderful stay at River Haven. Great location close to Gruene and an easy walk into town. Kathleen and Greg are great hosts. Accommodation was very clean and comfortable and had all the amenities you’d need. Loved watching the deer in the garden and the cats too!
