We visited the cabin for a quick winter getaway as a family. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and filled with little touches that made our time enjoyable. The games and hot tub were a hit with the kids. Drove to Hocking Hills State Park each day of our visit (25-30 min drive). 15 minutes to Logan for groceries, pharmacy, Walmart, etc.

We took our daughters’ family for a short getaway. The cabin was extremely clean and beautifully decorated with natural artwork. The kids loved the air hockey and we all enjoyed the fire pit. The cabin was very private in a quiet wooded setting. We’d definitely stay there again.

Perfect Get Away
This was our first trip to Hocking Hills. Being unsure of where things were located I was a little worried that we may be farther away from the attractions than I wanted... but this was the perfect location for us. It was in a beautiful setting only 10 minutes to Logan and we were hiking within 20 minutes at at Lake Logan within 10... really a great location. Also very easy access to the ATV rentals and ZIP LINING @ Canopy Tours... so fun. The fire pit and hot tub were great to come "home" to and the cabin was stocked with everything we needed. Grill was GREAT.... We hope to be back.

Thank you for staying with us. We are glad you enjoyed the cabin.
This cabin is perfection and located in a serene spot nestled in the woods. There’s a large hot tub, fire pit and game room that lend themselves to added entertainment. The house is large enough for a group to gather or spread out as well. Our groups enjoyed it very much. I would have given 5 star except for a few things. They house did not come with a blow dryer or iron/ironing board which was inconvenient for us as we were flying in for a wedding with wrinkled clothing and now at a no way to blow dry

Lovely property, but has issues
Five friends stayed at Christine's Chalet 11/10-11/13/2016. This is our 8th year of visiting Hocking Hills and we're always excited to find a new cabin that meets our needs. First let me say that it is a lovely cabin and a beautiful setting. Very clean and peaceful.
Now to the reasons that we cannot give it more than 3 stars:
- The well water has a very strong sulfur odor that can smell up the cabin. We were unable to cook or brush our teeth using the water. Some type of water filtration system could go a very long way in improving the renter's experience. Take our word...it is horrible!
- The cabin is advertised as accommodating 8 people, but both of the living areas only have seating for 4. The addition of a couch and/or chair, instead of 2 love seats would make gathering around the fireplace or TV much more pleasant.
- The bathrooms were stocked with 8 bath towels, 8 hand towels, 8 wash cloths and 2 rolls of toilet paper for a 3 night reservation. There should be more linens available or, at the very least, some detergent available to wash the towels. The kitchen could also be better stocked with some baking pans, Crock Pot.
- Lastly, the Check-in and Check-out Instruction form is poorly executed. All of the CAPS and BOLDING are unnecessary. The threat of additional $100 charges for minor infractions became a running joke for us throughout our stay. We are adults and respect other's property as we do our own.

Judy,
Thank you for visiting Trickle Creek at Hocking Hills. And thank you for your compliment of our cabins. They are indeed lovely, clean cabins in a very peaceful setting. Our cabins were custom built by a very reputable Amish cabin builder. We spared no expense to make our guest comfortable. We are sorry you were disappointed with your stay.
First of all, the water issue has been resolved. On November 16th, a water softner/filtration system was installed. The sulfur smell in the water did not always exist. We acted as quickly as we could to get estimates for resolution and a fix. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Everything in the cabin is focused on accommodating 8. We recommend that our guest check-in, make a quick inventory, generate a grocery list and go to the store. I plan to develop a "whats included" and a "what to bring" list and posting it on our website soon.
As for, the check-in/check-out list, it is very informative and has been revised over and over based on experiences we have had and requests from our customers. Our goal with the list was to be as informative as possible with our customers as to AVOID additional charges. It has worked well. However, it is certainly not our desire to insult our customers. I am going to re-review the instructions.
Family vacation over the Fourth of July weekend and we couldn’t be more satisfied. The cabin is clean and beautifully decorated. Having the air hockey game in the basement was a real hit for my grandsons. The cabin is not in the heart of Hocking Hills but that is what I really enjoyed about it. Close enough to hiking trails but far enough away for privacy.

We have stayed in 12+ cabins in the area. This one is by far the most peaceful in the way of no sounds of cars driving by. The cabin was well equipped, clean and overall a really nice stay for us to unplug.

About the host
Hosted by Jon (Brett) Adcock
Trickle Creek offers luxury cabins in Hocking Hills. The cabins are situated on nearly 240 acres of secluded cabin rentals in the deep wooded ravines in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Hocking County, Ohio. The highly desirable land was purchased in 2015 by licensed professional land surveyor and developer Jon (Brett) Adcock and his wife Christine, with a vision to create a unique, serene and peaceful setting and construct luxury log cabins that would distinguish them from the many, many “run-of-the” mill log cabins for rent in Hocking Hills.
