cozy place
clean and cozy place just bathroom sink hot water not there and rooma don't have heating cooling, but beautiful view with water front. Enjoyed our stay.
Cute cabin with gorgeous view! We could even see an Eagle's nest to the left off of the lake. Communication was easy and efficient - they were available when ever we needed them! We did see a comment prior to our stay about cleanliness and for a rustic cabin, it was perfect; if expecting spotless cleanliness, a five star hotel is probably a better option.

Not very clean/not as described
We loved the location and set up of the cabins and the lake. The problem was lack of cleanliness inside. When we arrived, the floors weren't very clean. We kept feeling stuff sticking to the bottom of our feet. Our feet were getting filthy just walking on it. We ended up having to make sure we were never barefoot in cabin. This is after I, myself, swept the floor and then tried to wipe down by hand with a soapy washcloth. It just seemed that the floor had so much grime built up on it that needs a good mopping. There were also a lot of dead bugs caught in webs up in corners of cabin, dead bugs on curtains, in the windows, in the dishes. We know there will be bugs during our stay but to walk into webs and dead bugs all over is not pleasant. We had to call owner upon arrival to ask for more toilet paper and about two lights not working and were told can't be fixed right now. I can't help but wonder if the bed linens provided were washed before our stay. I found dog hair in the bedding of all the beds, which is gross. The bed in middle bedroom sinks in the middle when sleeping in it so my husband and I kept falling to middle. The couch was very uncomfortable. When sitting on it, we could feel the springs. It is advertised about a beach onsite to use for swimming but we could not use due to goose poop all over it, and the geese were there every day. I feel that for what we paid for our stay, these listed issues should not have been issues. The cabin itself was cozy. Just wish we could have enjoyed it without feeling like leaving all the time for our stay.

Family Tradition
We have been staying here since '99. It's a gorgeous lake and a serene environment. We take our boat and jet ski. The lake has great fishing and the camp owners will even join you around the fire to share fish stories. This 3 bedroom is our favorite, but we have stayed in the two bedroom as well and it is also just as nice. Our family comes from as far away as Virginia to join us at Black Point. I am so excited to keep this tradition alive and pass it on to the new generations. I am sure the winter would offer great ice fishing and snowmobiling.

Amazing Getaway!!!!
This place is everything you are looking for, if you are looking to get away! This can be your home away from home. The owners are super friendly and very helpful. The cabins are awesome and the location was perfect. This is the ultimate destination if you are looking for something to do int the winter or the summer. Looking to start a new family tradition? Why not start it here. Remember the days of going with ma and pa north to the cabin to spend the summer? This is the place to do it. I definitely can say my family and I will be returning.
About the host
Hosted by Darren & Kasie Anderson
Black Point Camp began in 1922 when Al Nothelfer purchased the land for logging and created a small town to help with his growing needs. He built a saw mill, a forge, and a general store. He operated these establishments until the mid-1940’s. Shortly after logging ceased, the property became a resort where it offered great fishing and extraordinary views. Al operated the resort until he passes away in 1964.
The resort continued to operate until 1968 by care of his wife and two step-sons. In 1987, Dave Schlosser purchased the land and began to rebuild the resort. He spent the next 28 years tending the land he loved so dearly. In September 2015 Dave decided it was time to pass the reigns to someone new. After much searching Dave found a couple he believed to be the perfect fit for the resort and surrounding community. Darren and Kasie Anderson are the current owners and are loving every minute of it.
