Balaia Golf Village is situated within a 30 minute drive of Faro airport and 5 minutes from Albufeira. Wonderfully positioned within a delightfully landscaped garden complex, enabling you to relax by one of the six outdoor swimming pools or to play a round of golf on the complex’s nine hole course. Facilities also include a golf driving range and splendid club house, putting green and practice bunker green, a Health club with a heated indoor pool, gym, steam room and jacuzzi, four outdoor tennis courts. The complex has a restaurant and small shopping terrace. The complex is open throughout the whole year offering facilities whatever your age.

Comfy, quiet and convenient

Lovely apartment in a well kept resort. Beach and groceries close by, other entertainment a short bus ride or drive away. Hosts were super responsive to our questions and resort staff were very helpful as well.

Excellent stay, better than pics suggest!

Really lovely resort, not really justified by the pictures! Plenty of choice for pools (6 outside and 1 inside), the gym was great too, never busy. Restaurants were lovely, especially the poolside pizzeria which had a nice atmosphere and closest to the apt block. Apartment itself was traditional, but had everything a family would need. My personal favourite part was the balcony, it was large, we sat out there every morning for breakfast & coffee & evening before we went out. Bliss!

Wonderful vacation

My husband and I just returned from a 5 week stay at this lovely apartment in the Balaia Golf Village. It is exactly as shown in the photos. Spacious, especially for two adults, clean, well equipped and well situated within the complex. The complex itself is large with many amenities…..pools, restaurants, tennis and golf. It is also very well maintained. We did not have a car and were able to walk to groceries, restaurants and the beaches all within 20 minutes. Local buses are nearby. We highly recommend this property and the positive communication with the owners.

All a family with kids needs!

The Balaia housing complex where this house is based is an oasis close to the beach. Very quiet, with lovely natural landscapes, plenty of pool options to choose from and a very convenient location. The house itself, despite being dated, has all the confort a family of 4 needs, even though the living room convertible couch mattress and the toilet could use a revamp. The kitchen is fully equipped and allows preparation of all kinds of meals. Malcolm and Susan have always answered any questions in a matter of hours and in a kind and collaborative way. Great value for money!

Lovely apartment on a beautiful golf resort

We really enjoyed our week at Balaia golf village. The apartment is rustic but has everything you need and the balcony area is the perfect spot for soaking up the sun (two of them in fact). The wow factor really comes from the resort itself - beautiful grounds and you’re spoilt for choice with all the incredible pools dotted around the place, all just a few minutes walk away. Tennis courts are good and reasonably priced at €14 an hour, the golf course and clubhouse are nice, and there are various cafes on site and a Spar supermarket just outside the resort. The location is well positioned for a 20 minute walk to the beach or Albufeira new town, or a short drive for day trips in Villamoura or Quinta de Lago. We rented a moped which was a great way to experience the area. Great value for money and the hosts Malcolm and Susan are lovely and helpful - thank you both for a great week in the sunny Algarve!

This was our third visit to Balaia Golf Village so we knew we were getting excellent value with the location of this apartment and the many pools on the complex. The apartment was a great size for three of us, we didnt use the sofa bed, instead using the fold out bed in the bedroom for our little one which there was plenty of space for. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony for breakfast in the mornings and for a night cap in the evenings.We tried Bistro Sud and the Panini bar on site, both were good value and nice food.The apartment is well stocked with plentiful kitchen utensils and extras like books and pool bits.The kitchen and bathroom are a little dated with some minor maintenance issues. A few of the drawers/cupboards had missing handles in the kitchen making access tricky and there was some minor mould in the bathroom. The overall cleanliness was fine but could be a little more thorough. Reception advised their cleaning team do the cleaning so they have so many to do they have to be quick.Our only negative experience was with the reception team. The property details advise 12pm check in, we arrived at 1pm and asked for the keys. Lady advised that its 5pm check in, regardless of what owner listing says. Got keys at 4.45pm.Communication with the owner was great as was the overall trip and we would definitely book again. Guest book for the past 20 years was a lovely read.Thanks for a great week!

The VRBO post was very deceiving. The photos did not portray the actual unit we rented. We were under the impression we booked a two bedroom unit. It turned out to be a one bedroom. The listing was not clear about that. Due to unusual amount of rain there was water damage and mould in our unit. Communication with the host regarding these issues were good.

100% esprit vacances

Très bonne communication avec Susan et Malcolm, réponses très rapides et précises par mail. Au cœur du Balaia Golf Village, appartement cosy, décoration simple et élégante, à la fois fonctionnel et tout confort (Clim, terrasses, rangements). Le site est superbe, entre petits logements d’un blanc éclatant et végétation fleurie luxuriante, jolis chemins piétonniers pour aller aux piscines (ou golf, ou tennis ou salle de gym….). Le personnel du Village est très compétent et agréable, on se sent vraiment en vacances.

Super Urlaub in super Unterkunft!

Wir hatten einen tollen vier wöchigen Urlaub bei herrlichen Wetter in der gepflegten Ferienanlage. Die Wohnung war perfekt ausgestattet, besonders in der Küche fehlte nichts. Leider hat der zur Anlage gehörende Golfplatz sehr nachgelassen. Viel zu viele Spieler auf dem Platz, die meisten Anfänger, die ihre liebe Mühe mit dem schweren Platz hatten.

We purchased this property because of the wonderful location and the great facilities in Balaia Golf Village. It is central to most attractions in the Algarve and is only about 30mins drive from the airport at Faro.
