The Space:
Come experience what Best of the West and Pointe West has to offer on the Bright Side!  This top-floor 3 bedroom, 3 bath condo has the top view of the best beach in Galveston!  Just steps away from the dune walkover and a skip to Pointe West Beach Club!   Bright Side was just remodeled this year. The entire space has been upgraded for a luxurious stay. The Brand New Elevator was installed Dec 2024.

If you are a traveling family with young ones on the go, this is the place for you! Bright Side has been furnished to make mom smile! Our condo offers a pack n' play, high chair, & much more! For the family fun time, you can gather in the spacious living room and make a selection from our large library of videos, or take a seat around the breakfast table & make a memory while playing some board games. All you have to do is bring the popcorn. You will not find a more family-oriented condo at Pointe West. King size bed in master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, queen size in 2nd bedroom with ensuite bathroom and the third bedroom has a Queen Bed with a Twin size bunk over the headboard with a convertible twin bed. There are smart TVs in most room. Fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, bath and pool towels provided, and all beds are fully dressed for your party.  Bring the family, bring the wine, bring your camera! Come to the Bright Side!


When you stay in a Best of the West home, all you need to bring is your clothes, sunscreen, food, and you! Best of the West provides basic consumables needed for your entire stay; paper towels, toilet paper, large & small trash bags, dish soap, dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent, hand soap, coffee, creamer, sweetener, coffee filters, first aid kit, and to make things even easier, a luggage cart to help you pack & unpack from your car!

Guest Access:
You will be provided the door code, wifi code, and all other check-in information 2 days before check-in.

The Neighborhood:
Pointe West is an exclusive resort community on the western tip of Galveston Island. The beaches are clean and groomed regularly and they are by far the best on the island. The main clubhouse has a beautiful infinity-edge pool, hot tub, kid’s pool, cabanas, grills, gift shop, workout facility with lockers, and a game room. 

***AMENITIES FEE: Please note that you will need to obtain a wristband and access code from the Pointe West Beach Club to take full advantage of the community facilities (pools, gym, clubhouse game room, Basketball, and Pickleball courts). They charge $25 per guest 4 years old and older and are good for the entire length of your stay. This fee will be paid directly to the Beach Club upon registration.

(You will receive an email from the Pointe West POA to prepay the resort fee. The primary guest on your reservation will need to show an ID at the Beach Club Office to pick up the wristbands and parking passes.) *** Fees increased to $25/per person in 2023. The fee is not mandatory. If you do not plan to use the pools and other amenities during your stay, you do not have to purchase the wristbands, but you will need to get parking passes from the Beach Club. You can get free wristbands for use of the restaurant and bar.

The Pointe West Beach Club is a separate entity from Best of the West Galveston. Best of the West Galveston cannot guarantee the availability of any of the Beach Club’s amenities. Check the Pointe West Beach Club’s website for details.***

Getting Around:
You are only approximately 30 minutes from downtown Galveston, Schlitterbahn, Moody Gardens, the new Pleasure Pier, and all the other great attractions of Galveston.

Other Things to Note:
**Elevators, WIFI, and cable can be unreliable on West Galveston Island. We apologize, but Best of the West can not guarantee these amenities will be working during your stay at Pointe West and we are unable to offer refunds for disruption of these services.**

The place was exactly how it is in the photos. It was tastefully decorated with high end products and fully stocked. The location is perfect. The unit is right next to the clubhouse pool and the walkway to the beach. It had amazing views of the ocean. The property manager was also quick to respond when we had an issue with the television. My friend had rented another unit on the property and she was impressed by this one. Will def stay here again.

Great place to take family, right on beach, and facilities were super. The entire experience for my family which included my wife and my daughter’, her husband and two grandchildren was really nice Fourth of July beach weekend. Would come back for sure.

Incredible Balcony Views

We loved the incredible balcony views in this condo! The beds were very comfortable, lots of dining spaces, and three full baths. The owner was very accommodating and made checking in and out a breeze. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Great location

We had a great family vacation at Brightside condo at Pointe West. Plenty of room for the whole family. The location was perfect-close to the beach, pool, and restaurant. Our only concern was that the secondary bedrooms were so cold, and the primary bedroom was cool enough, but it was not balanced as far as the temperature. Overall, we loved the condo and the location, and will probably stay in this unit again.

3rd FLOOR FANTASTIC VIEW!

We love this unit and this property. 2 great pools and a "lazy river" for the kids. Unobstructed view of the Gulf of Mexico as far to the left and right you can see! 3 bedrooms with a bathroom for each. Perfect match for our family of 7 (3 kids...they loved the oversize bunk beds.) Did I mention there is pool side drink/food service at the main pool? Yes, that kind of drink too.

The location of the property was great, although quite a bit from the main activities. We’ve definitely stayed at cleaner properties - there was hair in the bathroom and dust everywhere. Also, I felt for the price we paid basics like soap could have been provided. I’d go to the area again but wouldn’t stay here

Galveston Pointe West 3 BR/3BA Condo Top Floor

The location and view and access to the Beach Club were perfect for our family of 7 including toddler & infant. Property Mgr. was terrific and arranged for 2 Pak-N-Plays and other toddler/infant friendly equipement that DID NOT have to be rented or lugged along via airline trip/space in rental car/ TERRIFIC PLUS!!! The view and beach access were "as advertied". Beautiful/peaceful/quiet. Plenty of space for all of us and for toddler to roam. Acomodations were good and well taken care of. Siggestion is to replace or recover the large beige ottoman/table. It is upholstered and needs to be recovered with a vinyl or replaced with something easier to clean. It is showing stains from peoples' dirty feet. Also, walls in/near the entry need wiped down/cleaned. Showing dirt marks. Those are easy fixes and did not damper the spectacular view and plenty of space! Thanks again to our Property Mgr. for excellent communications and assists!

A few hick ups but we enjoyed our stay

Let me start by saying, the property owner, John, is beyond amazing. He’s the nicest man and was eager to help. He really made our stay great. When we entered the unit we noticed the carpet was in bad need of a deep cleaning or replacement. I’m sure it’s impossible to keep that carpet in tip top shape as they have people in constantly. So not a big deal, it just needs some attention. The faucet in the second guest room broke while we were there and we noticed some water damage on the ceiling of the laundry room, which we promptly informed him on and he assured us it would be taken care of and he had no idea it had happened. You could tell it had been that way a while. The elevator was iffy and only worked half the time, but it worked when we unloaded and loaded up, so it didn’t hinder us much. Ok, enough with all the negative and let’s get to the positive. The views. Holy moly!! If you want an unobstructed view of the gulf, this is your condo. I spent more time on the back porch than inside the unit. The pool was clean and, while crowded, everyone behaved and was respectful. The staff at Pointe West were very accommodating and worked with us and the owner when my mother left her purse at the house, which had her id, a hour and a half away, and the reservation was in her name! Doh! The beach had sea shells galore and the beach was clean and in pristine condition. We enjoyed our stay here very much, and while we have stayed at other condos within this resort, we will be renting from John from here on out. You won’t regret renting here!!!

MOLD & other things

Disappointed. First of all, it smells like MOLD. Especially carpeted bed rooms. But honestly everywhere. We noticed it as soon as we walked in. Then on the last day I saw there WAS BLACK MOLD on the inside of the patio door. Took pictures. This is incredibly unsafe. Our infant was coughing a LOT, and I’m almost positive it was from 4 nights of mold exposure in this condo. I understand there was just a hurricane, but this is unacceptable. We had relatives staying in the same building in a different condo, and their condo did not have this issue. Mold is terribly unsafe. Other issues: No shampoo, conditioner, bath soap. Coffee pot is dirty and clogged. No extra kitchen towels or rags. Holes in couch pillows with fluff coming out. Patio furniture dirty and moldy. Toilet in hall bathroom broken.. lever inside the tank was snapped in half. Some dishes were slimey upon arrival, dishwasher perhaps doesn’t work properly. Bunk beds are very wobbly, need some major adjusting. Drawers in dressers fall right out. The pans in the kitchen are tephlon (non-stick) and were completely scratched up, which is unsafe to cook and consume food on. Location was EXCELLENT, I love that they had kid toys & books &high chair etc, & a beach wagon to use, that was very helpful, but condo could use some TLC!!

Great balcony

Had a nice anniversary week, loved the balcony. Enjoyed relaxing on the outdoor furniture. Large space, only thing was the owner has the master bedroom closet locked. They have a small wardrobe to put clothes in but would be nice to have the closet space. All in all nice stay.
